Chapter 24 Once upon a time(2/5)
An An bought corn next to the trolley stall. When he heard the phone ringing, he knew it was Peng Ye, so he quickly picked it up, "Hey, Brother Peng Ye?"
The corn was too hot, and she couldn't stand it when she held it in one hand, so she blew and exchanged hands in a hurry.
Peng Ye seemed to frown over there, "What are you doing?"
"Ah, I bought corn on the street. It's so hot. Where have you been?"
"I saw you, behind you." Peng Ye's voice fell from behind An An's head, low and heavy.
An An turned her head. She was short at first, Peng Ye was tall and close to her. She had to look up at him. In a hurry, her hand shook and the corn was out of hand.
An An exclaimed.
Peng Ye bent down quickly to catch the corn, frowned and said, "Are you juggling?"
An An blushed and wanted to get the corn back. Peng Ye said, "You install your phone first."
After installing it, An whispered: "Isn't it hot? I think it's hot."
Peng Ye said: "Thick skin."
An An: “…”
Peng Ye looked down at her and asked, "I'll eat this little at noon?"
An Ann said, "Ah, I want to go back to the ward to help."
"Where is Xiao Ling's family?"
"I'm also guarding you." An An said, "By the way, I have to pay back the medical expenses."
"I'll give you an account later and just call it back." Peng Ye said, "You can't eat this, have a meal."
An An hurriedly said, "Then I'll ask you, thank you for your help."
Peng Ye snorted and laughed: "Does a big man still want a little girl to treat you?"
An An was afraid that he would be unhappy, so she didn't persist.
There was a row of restaurants at the entrance of the hospital, and Peng Ye asked, "Which house do you want to go?"
An An wants to eat something cheaper, "Eat a bowl of Lanzhou ramen."
Peng Ye pursed his lips and had a little temper, saying, "I don't want to eat that."
An An shrank his neck and whispered.
“Sichuan fried food.”
"good."
When crossing the road, Peng Ye asked, "How long are you going to stay here?"
An An looked up puzzledly, "When Xiao Ling gets over, her family is about to collapse, and none of them are calm."
When he looked up, he didn't look at the road. A motorcycle rushed past. Peng Ye took her back with her collar. An An was so scared that his heart stopped and stared at Peng Ye blankly.
Peng Ye frowned slightly and said, "Look at the road."
He let go of her and continued the words just now: "You have become kind-hearted when you have been with her for so long."
An An's face turned red, "Many people are kind-hearted."
"Yeah?"
"Yes. All of you are, and so are Cheng Jia."
Peng Ye refused to stop and said, "Why do you always mention her for nothing?"
An An was frightened, "I just mentioned it once."
Peng Ye didn't speak for a while, and walked across the street before asking calmly: "You stay here, your family doesn't care?"
"I have no relatives." An An said, "just one brother."
"Yes." Peng Ye asked, "What's your brother doing?"
Peng Ye handed An An the menu, "What do you want to eat?"
An An pushed back again, "It's OK, you order."
Peng Ye ordered boiled fish, stir-fried beef with peppers, stir-fried lotus white, cucumber, tomato and egg soup.
An An said, "Will you order too much?"
"Not much." Peng Ye returned the menu to the waiter and turned to An An, "Your personality, Cancer?"
An An whispered in a slight embarrassment and said in a low voice: "Is it so obvious?"
Peng Ye did not answer and asked, "What day?"
"Where is number one? Do you know the constellation?"
"I don't understand. I heard a few words from the young people in the team say. By the way, what did your brother do just now?"
An An sat down and replied: "He is running a business outside and is a businessman."
Peng Ye nodded lightly, without asking questions, squinted his eyes and looked at the outdoors under the scorching sun, unable to find the topic.
An An was afraid that he would have nothing to say, so he added: "Business of handicrafts and knitwear is all about ethnic minorities, so he always runs west."
Peng Ye replied in a "chat-style" manner: "Are you here to see him?"
"Not that. He is quite busy, and it's not fixed where to go. But last time I met in Fengnan Town, hehe." An An pursed her lips and smiled.
Peng Ye looked at her.
She slowly lowered her head and rubbed her fingers, "Does there anything on my face?"
"No." Peng Ye asked, "You are very close?"
"Dear. It's my brother who earned money to support me in school. It used to be very hard, but it has been better in recent years. But I saved all the money he gave me, and I don't want to use him too much. He ran outside, which was very hard. By the way, my brother said that when I graduated, I want to take me abroad. Do you think it's good to study abroad?"
Peng Ye smiled, "I am a sheep-herding person, how can I know what school?"
An An said: "But I feel you look different."
Peng Ye didn't talk about himself and asked, "I'm about to graduate, I should be twenty-two years old."
An An said, "I'm late to study, I'm twenty-three."
Peng Ye said: "It looks pretty small."
An An smiled again with a pursed lips.
This restaurant cooks quickly, and in a while, the boiled fish will come up.
Peng Ye asked: "Are you used to eating Sichuan cuisine?"
"I'm used to eating it, I like spicy food."
"I heard from your accent, it's..."
"From Jiangxi."
"The Holy Land of Revolution."
"Hehe, Brother Peng Ye, where are you from?"
"Xi'an."
"I always wanted to go to the ancient city of history," An An said, "but you don't seem to have a northwest accent, and you sound like Beijing."
Peng Ye smiled faintly and said, "I learn Mandarin well in elementary school."
The waiter served the food and the two started to eat.
Peng Ye looked at her and asked, "It's hot here, have you brought summer clothes?"
An An shook his head, "I bought it casually in the wholesale market. I used to be winter clothes."
Peng Ye said: "Your windbreaker looks green."
"Yes." An An looked up at him, his eyes brightened, "You remember."
Peng Ye said: "It's quite bright."
An An smiled, ate a few bites of food slowly, and asked, "Does Cheng Jia still follow you?"
Peng Ye drank the soup and said, "She's back."
An An said oh.
Peng Ye didn't say anything more. After dinner, he walked to the hospital door with An An and said, "Go in."
"Don't you go to see Xiao Ling?"
"Not going."
An An blushed, as if she was sunburned, and looked up and asked him, "Are you here to stay?"
“Along the Qinghai-Tibet Highway, one hour.”
"I will go see Brother Shitou and the others when I have time."
To be continued...
