[038] The end of the battle for treasure

Shortly after Carl and Hermione arrived, Professor McGonagall and Dumbledore also appeared in the secret room. After being "rescued" by Snape, Carl secretly summoned the furnace elves to report the message. Before that, Hagrid sent Snape away and began to look for help.

So the furnace elves found Professor McGonagall, and Hagrid found Dumbledore who had just returned. They rushed to the scene almost at the same time.

Professor McGonagall directly hugged Carl, and Dumbledore confirmed Harry's situation after glanced at the Philosopher's Stone rolling aside.

"It's okay." Dumbledore smiled and nodded in the anticipated gaze of Carl and Hermione, "He was just exhausted and didn't seem to be a big deal - what the hell is going on?"

Just as Hermione was about to speak, Carl suddenly slapped his thigh: "Oh no, Professor - Professor Snape is still outside, and he is seriously injured!"

"Don't worry, I've seen it when I came." Dumbledore signaled Carl not to be nervous. "Although Professor Snape was injured, Mrs. Pomfrey will take care of him. Now we should take Harry to the school hospital."

Carl, relieved, carried Harry on his back and took him to the school hospital. Dumbledore also used a floating spell to send Snape to the hospital bed. Then he took Carl and Hermione to the principal's office and asked about the whole story.

Of course, Carl said whatever he said - most of it - only when he talked about the problem of rapid cooling, he did not admit that he killed Ron, nor did he say the task code.

Instead, Carl also said "Ron gave me that gun at the end."

When Carl said this, Hermione obviously frowned. Although she didn't understand what Ron said, in her opinion, the bastard could not have repented in the end. However, out of trust in Carl, she just nodded silently and said nothing more.

Dumbledore, who was a mature man, clearly saw this. While comforting Carl and Hermione, he temporarily left the principal's office with Professor McGonagall, as if he was going to discuss something - after they left, Hermione finally couldn't help but speak.

"Carl, why do you defend Ron?" Hermione's dissatisfaction was already overwhelming. "He almost killed Professor Snape-although Professor Snape usually targeted Harry, but this time he saved you and Harry. He was not the guy who stole the Philosopher's Stone. How could you protect Ron like this in front of Dumbledore?!"

Seeing that the little witch was already angry, Carl could only smile bitterly on his face.

"Actually." Carl sighed helplessly, "It's not for Ron, but for Weasley-you may not realize what Ron does mean to his family."

"family?"

Hermione was stunned for a moment. Obviously, with Miss Wanshitong's emotional intelligence, she could not think of so much in a short period of time.

"Although I only met Ron when I was in school." Carl recalled the past and explained patiently to Hermione, "But I learned a lot about the Weasley family from my mother. The Weasley family is a pure-blood family, but I like to be with Muggles. The Weasley couple are both very good people. After they learned that I don't have parents, they will send me a sweater every Christmas..."

"The eldest son of the Weasley family is Bill Weasley. I am not familiar with this, but I am deeply impressed by the second son Charlie. I was still young at that time, but I remember very clearly that my mother said that he was a great wizard and full of love for life. He is now raising dragons in Romania. It is said that he will be sent back soon and return to Hogwarts to work in the Forbidden Forest."

"You know Percy, too. Although he sometimes has too much self-awareness and likes to show off, we all have to admit that he is a great predecessor. When the Forbidden Forest Fire caught fire, he walked at the end and confirmed that no one had returned to the lounge in the hall."

"You should also know that these twins are our batsmen, and there is no one in the castle that doesn't like them except Snape and Felch."

"I can make the mean crimes Ron has done to the public, but what's the use? In addition to allowing his innocent family to suffer more pain, can he also make Ron, who has received punishment, even more ashamed?"

Hermione was silent.

Admittedly, if it were strictly followed, Ron should have been nailed to the pillar of shame, but the result of doing so would not have any additional effect except torture his family - especially when Carl was clear about Ron's identity.

If Ron is really a normal child, it can be regarded as "the fault of raising a father," but Ron is not. He is a broken wall, an outsider who is silently disguised. If the Weasleys pay for his mistakes... that is the real unfairness.

"Look." Carl looked at Hermione and finally spoke again, "Is this the best choice? Maybe you, Harry and I will remember everything, but if I can, I really hope that the despicable things Ron has done will never be made public."

"I always feel uncomfortable." Hermione hesitated for a long time before finally speaking slowly, "To be honest, I just wanted to make everyone clear about Ron's true face, but now I don't want everyone to know about this..."

"But in fact, this matter is not the final word." Seeing Hermione standing at the same angle as him again, Carl finally smiled bitterly, "The most important person in this matter is actually Harry and Professor Snape - Ron betrayed Harry and seriously injured Snape. They are the people who decide whether Ron can be forgiven."

Hermione nodded silently and said nothing more. The two of them sat quietly in the principal's office, waiting for Dumbledore's return.

………………………………………

At the same time, at the school hospital, Dumbledore showed all the conversation between Carl and Hermione to Snape through a mirror.

"Severus." Dumbledore pushed his glasses, "What do you think?"

When Snape, whose temples were still hurting so hard, he didn't understand what Dumbledore meant when he saw this scene?

"Do I have any more choice?" Snape snorted coldly, "You go and ask that stupid boy Harry."

Hearing the expected answer, Dumbledore's face showed a clear look. He stared at Snape in front of him, his eyes as if saying, "You always have such a different mind."

Snape, who was a little bit shy when he was staring Dumbledore, gritted his teeth, and finally showed his usual level and said sarcastically.

"I heard that this kid's dream is to become the principal of Hogwarts? That's awesome, he's really the same as you!"

It sounds like a compliment, but it is so ironic that it is when Snape's tone is as if it is not an honor but a shameful shame to be the principal of Hogwarts.

Dumbledore just smiled at his little temper. After instructing Snape to have a good rest, he finally got up and returned to the principal's office.

"Mr. McGrath, Miss Granger." Dumbledore, who had returned to the principal's office, waved at them. "I just missed a little time, and now you can go back and rest - if you want to see Harry, you can go to Mrs. Pomfrey's place tomorrow morning, and now, go back and have a cup of hot cocoa and have a good rest."

After seeing off Carl and Hermione, Dumbledore finally sat in his position with some fatigue. He reached out and pressed his temple hard.
