Chapter 16: I'm a Scientist

At five o'clock in the morning, before Da Hei could wake her up, Ye Qingshu suddenly opened his eyes.

Heartbeat accelerates.

She raised her hand and held her forehead helplessly, not knowing what she was feeling.

She actually dreamed of Yan Xiusheng...

She turned her gaze to the side, and Dahei was sitting on the windowsill licking her hair leisurely. When she saw Ye Qingshu, she stopped and turned to look at her.

Ye Qingshu:...It's all good things you did last night.

Ye Qingshu was lying on the bed with a headache, and he really felt ashamed to see people.

Get up, wash up, pour cat food, and finish tidying it up after six o'clock. I still have to help today.

She pushed the door open and in the gray sky, the man stood under the tree, raised his eyes and looked at her.

It is as bright as the moon, it can be seen from afar and not be blasphemous.

"Mr. Yan." Ye Qingshu greeted him, his voice a little tight.

Yan Xiusheng nodded: "Miss Ye, let's go."

Ye Qingshu walked up and deliberately stayed away from him, but in the thin and cold weather, the breath of the man penetrated into the tip of his nose. Her head could not control the flash of what she saw last night, and her cheeks were hot.

He probably won't know, the cat can't speak.

"Miss Ye." Yan Xiusheng called her softly, "Do I make you feel uncomfortable?"

Ye Qingshu felt guilty and then smiled: "No, I'll go quickly and see if the buns outside are spread out to open the door."

After she said that, she walked forward quickly.

Yan Xiusheng looked at the girl's back, his smile deepened in his eyes, and his thin lips curled up a slight curve.

Today they came to Grandma Li's house earlier than yesterday. Ye Qingshu bought some millet porridge for Grandma Li on the way and brought a bottle of kimchi. Grandma Li's teeth were almost gone and her taste was not very sensitive. She brought some to make some soft and glutinous porridge for Grandma Li.

Ye Qingshu put the millet in the clay pot and then went to the rice fields. Yesterday, he was tired for a day, and everyone felt a little sore in the waist and back. Mingtong stood up from time to time and rubbed his old waist: "Oh, it's time to replenish calcium when you go back."

Everyone laughed.

It was noon, and Ye Qingshu was about to go to Grandma Li's house to bring the porridge, but unexpectedly, he turned his head and saw Grandma Li coming with a small basket carrying a cane.

Ye Qingshu hurriedly went up to support Grandma Li and took her small backpack.

Grandma Li hurriedly said, "Look, have the small porridge be poured out?"

When Ye Qingshu saw that the porridge in the jar was overflowing, she smiled and said, "No."

Grandma Li was relieved and hurriedly said, "Then take out the food and eat it."

Ye Qingshu nodded, washed his hands, picked up the bowl, and quietly applied a circle of hot porridge to his bowl. However, her hand was about to touch the hot porridge, but one hand was holding her wrist.

I don’t know when Yan Xiu came to her.

He let go of her, then used his clean hands to apply the hot porridge spilled out of the can into his bowl, then raised his head and drank it and left.

Ye Qingshu lowered her eyes, looked at the empty bowl in her hands, and then looked at Yan Xiusheng's back. She lowered her head and smiled softly.

She took out the bowls and chopsticks brought by the grandma, served a bowl for everyone, and finally held a bowl of clean porridge and handed it to Yan Xiusheng with both hands: "Mr. Yan, yours."

Yan Xiusheng took it and said, "Thank you."

Ye Qingshu smiled, then turned around and took out the kimchi she brought, and put a little into everyone's bowl. She walked to Yan Xiusheng and asked, "Mr. Yan, do you want it?"

For some reason, this person always gives her the feeling of not eating grains.

Yan Xiusheng said: "It's good to have a little bit, I don't want ginger."

Ye Qingshu transferred radish and cabbage to her.

The kimchi is really delicious, and the porridge is soft and glutinous. After the meal, everyone was still unsatisfied. Mingtong pointed to a young monk and said, "Chongjing, after going back, I asked Donor Ye to ask him how to make kimchi."

The little monk agreed.

Everyone started working again, Grandma Li looked at the blurry shadows with her crutches and laughed.

Ye Qingshu held the sickle and straightened his waist during the break, wiping his sweat.

The eyes were far away, the sun was covered with heavy grains, and most of the rice fields were harvested far and near, and some children were running and chasing in the open space and laughing, filling their hearts with fullness.

She smiled slightly.

A snake ran out of the rice field. Ye Qingshu bounced the rice leaves on his fingertips, and the yellow straw leaves sank into the snake's seven inches with a "swoosh". The snake instantly fell softly into the mud, gushing out a little blood, and stopped moving.

Ye Qingshu lowered his head to work again.

Today, everyone is much more skilled and works faster. They can complete it as planned, but they never expected that it suddenly darkened, dark clouds gathered, and it was raining heavily.

What should I do?

And at this moment, a loud voice sounded: "Grandma, let's do it!"

When everyone looked back, they saw the villagers running around with hats: "Let's finish the grandma's first, we still have time tomorrow!"

As he said that, he quickly stepped into the mud. There were many people and great power. Everyone just put the last bit of millet into the basket, and the raindrops as big as beans came down.

The villagers handed the hat to Mingtong and others: "Your city is not as good as those of us who always come and go in the wind and rain. Let's go quickly!"

After the passage was clear, the straw hats covered with mud were distributed. A villager carried Grandma Li and ran home.

Although I was wearing a hat, I was still mostly wet. When I went back, everyone burned the fire in the yard and sat around to make the fire.

A child ran in and giggled at everyone: "Hehe, mom and dad, smoke is coming out of you!"

The rain is still falling.

The villagers kept them behind after dinner, and stopped for a while before leaving. Mingtong looked at Yan Xiusheng and Ye Qingshu and nodded.

After a while, a large pot of cabbage and tofu was prepared. Because there were monks, everyone followed suit and vegetarian food, but it was full of home-cooked flavor. After eating, everyone was still surrounded by the fire. The rain hit the canopy, and people threw the sweet potatoes into the fire.

A eldest sister-in-law asked Ye Qingshu, "Big girl, where are you studying?"

Ye Qingshu replied: "Jiangcheng University."

The sister-in-law showed a glimpse of praise. Jiangcheng University is one of the best universities, so she pulled her son over and taught him a lesson: "Did you see that, you should learn from this sister and study hard."

The child twisted out of his mother's arms, raised his head, and said proudly: "Hmph! When I grow up, I will grow taller than Jiangcheng University! Be the biggest scientist!"

Everyone laughed.

Ye Qingshu couldn't help but look at Yan Xiusheng, then looked at the child, and smiled with his cheek.

Just like when she was a child.

The eldest sister-in-law looked at Yan Xiusheng next to her again: "Brother, where are you studying and working? Oh, big brother, it's not raining anymore, take off your hat."

Ye Qingshu glanced at Yan Xiusheng, then he raised his hand and took off his hat, his eyes like blue starfish waves.

"I'm a scientist."
