1082 Genetic diagnosis

In a quiet bookstore, the two sat in front of the antique wooden table. The welcome robot brought out two cups, poured tea and placed them on the table in front of them:

"Please use tea." The robot wearing a jacket said loudly.

Seeing the robot's professional appearance, Lin Chi couldn't help but smile. Zhang Miao picked up the teacup and took a sip, then he stuck out his tongue and made a hissing sound. After a while, he finally recovered his language ability:

"I'm really sorry. I haven't met a guest who can chat for a long time. I'm a little nervous..."

"It's me who should apologize." Lin Chi smiled: "I hope this conversation won't bother you."

Sitting in the quaint bookstore, facing this elegant woman, Lin Chi, who usually looks like a salted fish for most of the time, became much more serious. He also brought honorifics and various etiquette words when speaking, and even began to use "official accent".

"No, no." Zhang Miao put down the teacup and nodded slightly to Lin Chi: "You want to ask me about being monitored, right?"

"Yes." Lin Chi nodded, looked around and asked again: "Will this conversation be monitored?"

"Please rest assured, they are just monitoring my location and will not monitor conversations." Zhang Miao raised his eyebrows playfully and smiled at Lin Chi, "I also have personal privacy. If everything is monitored by them, I really can't live."

"Oh, then I'll be relieved." Lin Chi covered his mouth and coughed while talking, and quietly conveyed certain instructions to a certain AI.

"Received, start checking for monitoring equipment." Frankenstein's voice rang out of his headphones.

"I was surveillance started when I was fourteen years old." Zhang Miao narrated it calmly and told Lin Chi that he didn't know the truth or the falsehood: "At that time, I was just an ordinary middle school student, and I participated in the physical examination as usual. I remember that there was an extra test item for the physical examination that required blood draw. You should have experienced this kind of thing, right?"

"I forgot." Lin Chi's answer was very honest.

Hearing his answer, Zhang Miao smiled and said, "You are so humorous."

Then, she continued to tell her story, her speech was slow and gentle, as if it was a slow documentary narration:

"On the fourth day after the physical examination, my parents suddenly told me that I didn't have to go to school and asked me to go with the doctor immediately. They seemed very scared at that time, and I didn't know why they were like this, they just thought they were sick."

"The doctor took me to the hospital and asked me to stay in a ward without windows. To this day, I still remember it very clearly. There was only one bed in the ward and an old desk lamp was placed on the bedside table. Sitting inside felt like staying in a cell."

"There was someone whispering something outside the house. I felt bored in the ward, so I leaned against the door and squatted beside the crack of the door and eavesdropped on their conversation. Then I heard several doctors talking about me."

"What did they say?" Lin Chi asked.

"They said there was something wrong with my genes, and it seemed that I was missing a gene or maybe it was extra... Please forgive me for not knowing gene knowledge very well, so I can't remember exactly what they said." Speaking of this, Zhang Miao's hands on the table suddenly clenched into fists:

"I only remember them saying that I had to be isolated, or even not born, because according to my genes, I will definitely develop an antisocial personality disorder in the future and must be dealt with as soon as possible..."

Hearing Zhang Miao's confession, Lin Chi asked in surprise: "Can antisocial personality be diagnosed through genetic diagnosis? Do those doctors have brain problems?"

According to research over the years, antisocial personality disorder is indeed related to genes, but acquired factors also occupy an important position.

In Lin Chi's opinion, even if Zhang Miao's genetic diagnosis really finds a problem, she must first observe her behavior to determine whether she has an antisocial tendency. It is simply an absurd behavior to classify her into an antisocial personality through genetic diagnosis alone, and can be described as taking human life aside.

"I was isolated for a while, and later I was finally allowed to leave the hospital, but I had to carry a locator, write a diary every day, and report my recent psychological condition to the contact person regularly." Zhang Miao narrated calmly, and there was no resentment in his voice: "Mr. Zhou Tianhao has been my contact person for half a year. Before him, he was a woman responsible for contacting me. They were all very nice to me..."

"You dropped out of school after that?" Lin Chi asked in a low voice.

"Yes." Zhang Miao reached out and held the teacup.

"Where are your parents?" Lin Chi asked.

"They meet me once a year and they don't usually come. But I already have a younger brother, so they probably don't care much about me."

"This is too much." Lin Chi frowned.

In his opinion, Zhang Miao's life can be said to have been completely destroyed by that physical examination. No matter what defects in the girl's genes are, it is definitely a very wrong behavior to isolate and monitor her before she has developed the disease.

However, Zhang Miao himself looked very calm and began to comfort Lin Chi:

"Thank you for standing up for me, but this may not be a bad thing. This bookstore was bought and handed over to me after I asked for it. Isn't it great?"

"They may just want to lock you in this cage." Lin Chi told the truth.

"Well, maybe. But I'm having a pretty comfortable stay here, that's enough."

Zhang Miao still smiled, and Lin Chi couldn't see what she was thinking: "I don't have any ideals at all. I can run my favorite store. What better thing than this?"

"I respect your choice." Lin Chi said, picking up the teacup and taking a sip. The slightly bitter tea quickly soaked her mouth.

Based on the conversation just now, Lin Chi was completely unable to tell whether Zhang Miao was an antisocial personality disorder, but Lin Chi could see that Zhang Miao was quite satisfied with this bookstore.

Since she thought it was pretty good, Lin Chi didn't plan to continue to comfort her. However, if Zhou Tianhao was in contact with the woman, a new problem would arise again:

Why is it that a guy who works in the brain imaging game management bureau, who is responsible for the affairs of the mental hospital? No matter how he thinks, something seems to be wrong.

"Have Zhou Tianhao told you about his own affairs?" Lin Chi asked.

"Mr. Zhou is a person with clear public and private affairs. He doesn't usually chat with me." Zhang Miao's tone was very certain.

"It's weird..." Lin Chi lowered his head and looked at the patterns on the wooden table.
