1226 The Confused Girl and the Weird Guardian(1/2)
The girl had a strange dream.
There is no picture in the dream, and there is endless darkness in front of me, and only two men are having intermittent conversations.
——The voice of one of the men sounded familiar, and seemed to have heard it somewhere...
"What the hell thing? Damn..."
"It's the trick of the 'old player'."
"I'll open it now!"
"Are you crazy? This will kill her."
"Let me go!"
A sudden roar awakened the girl from her dream.
The girl lying on the computer desk with her eyes closed, her slender eyes slowly opened, and a purple halo was reflected on the glass desktop.
She saw the dazzling light golden sunlight illuminating a messy room through the glass window.
"Ah...ah! Not good!"
Recalling what she was doing before going to bed, the girl who was originally confused woke up instantly and looked up at the LCD screen in front of her-
The mighty warrior wearing heavy red and black armor was lying on the bronze ground facing the sky and the earth. He held a broken long-handled battle axe in his hand, and the pool of blood under his body was expanding.
Although you cannot switch perspectives when you die, it can be judged by the sound of flapping your wings on your head and the blurred roar that the damn flying dragon is still alive.
In the center of the screen, a line of terrifying red words are constantly flashing: "YOU-ARE-DEAD", and the two gray option buttons in the lower right corner say "CONTINUE" and "EXIT-GAME" respectively.
"All my efforts are in vain! Bastard!"
She let out a rude roar that was inconsistent with her cute appearance, kicked the chair behind her with a "bang", fell heavily on the big bed with an ancient castle pattern on the bed sheet, and wailed with both hands, rubbing her long and messy hair.
She took half an hour last night to grind the BOSS's blood volume to the dangerous area, but she accidentally fell asleep when she was about to succeed.
When she thought about having to do it again, she couldn't help but twitch her whole body. If she didn't kill this boss, she wouldn't be able to go to the next map...
When the girl was upset, the knock on the door rang out from the bedroom door.
"It's time to have breakfast." The male voice was a little impatient: I know you're awake, Sophia."
"I'm not deaf yet!"
She replied loudly in anger, took off her pajamas and changed into a sports outfit, walked slowly into the living room, and yawned to the bathroom.
On the brown wooden round table on the right hand was placed with bread and a glass of milk. Hans Black, wearing a white T-shirt, was sitting on the sofa beside him, staring at the battle scene of the alien warships on the TV screen with concentration, leaving only a picture of her thoughtful back.
The girl's delicate face was slightly distorted, and anger was cast in her purple eyes. The simple breakfast on the table and Black's cold attitude made her mood worse.
"A naive fool! I know how to watch those pediatric science fiction movies."
Hearing Sophia's sarcasm, Black still didn't look back:
"I've always imagined that I was a medieval dragon-slaying guy and I'm not qualified to comment on me."
Although Sophia was angry, she sat on the wooden chair next to the table, grabbed the oval bread and ate it.
You can't talk too much to this guy, after all, I am relying on others.
——Even if she was unwilling to admit it, the young man who was watching TV was indeed her guardian.
That's right, it's just a simple "guardian". It's not a father, an elder brother, or a distant relative.
"We have no blood relationship." Sophia remembers Black once said this.
In fact, even if he didn't say it, Sophia could tell: from the appearance, she and Black didn't look like each other at all.
The two's hobbies are also very different: Sophia is fanatically obsessed with the fantasy world that only exists in magic stories, using swords to fight magic. Black is very interested in science fiction robot wars.
There are very few commonalities in character. Apart from speaking the same without mercy, the two seem to have nothing in common.
"Hello."
Hearing Black's voice, Sophia raised her head, her eyes facing Black's dark brown pupils.
The thin face, which was particularly pale with dark hair, was hung with a worried look:
"I'm going out today. Are you okay with your house?"
Sophia frowned in displeasure:
"Don't treat me as a child. If you want to leave, go quickly, really."
"Um."
Black stood up, grabbed the remote control on the coffee table and turned off the TV. The gorgeous scene of two silver-gray flying warships colliding with each other disappeared immediately.
He walked out with firm steps while putting on his black windbreaker. His tall figure quickly disappeared outside the door, followed by the sound of the off-road vehicle engine being activated.
This guy... didn't even say goodbye?
Listening to the roar of the engine outside the house, Sophia angrily stuffed the remaining half of the bread into her mouth, and when she walked to the stairs, she couldn't help but stop.
——A set of novels "Cremont Chronicles" I bought a few days ago has been read over and over again three times. The latest fantasy TV series I am watching will not be broadcast until the night. If I go back to the house, I can only play games, but-
She couldn't help but sigh when she remembered the long and painful battle process last night.
Let it go.
She gave up the idea of going back to the room, turned around and walked out of the main entrance of the house and came to the yard.
In front of the light blue two-story wooden house, the small courtyard surrounded by red brick walls is also the "territory" of the Black family.
The stainless steel water sprayer on the lawn made a sizzling sound while ejaculating fine water mist, and the crystal grass leaves below emitted a fresh smell.
Sophia leaned her body against the apple tree in the corner of the yard, pushed aside the strands of long purple hair scattered on her forehead, raised her head boredly, and looked up at the blue sky.
The weather is particularly good, but Sophia is not interested in such things at all.
In her opinion, this world is a bit strange.
Sophia knew something was wrong. But no matter how she observed it, she couldn't find anything strange except "memory disappears".
However, there is still a subtle sense of incongruity in her current life, which makes Sophia feel upset.
And compared to here, she prefers the fantasy world of swords and magic.
Sophia didn't know why she was so obsessed with the fantasy world. She even suspected that she had lived in "that world" before, but she just came here for some reason.
This is not a wishful thinking, but an inference based on "no memory before the age of fourteen".
If her identity proof is true, she should be nineteen years old this year, but her memory is only until the summer five years ago:
She vaguely remembered that Black spent a year teaching her some basic knowledge of language and writing, and then sent her to nearby Morton School.
Before that, what kind of life did you live?
She tried to recall countless times, but couldn't remember anything at all.
He also asked Black about himself, but he just replied in a perfunctory tone: "I don't know either."
In fact, she is more than the one with a foggy background. In a sense, Black is actually even more weird than her:
The guy claimed to be an old man of thirty-five years old, but he looked like a 20-year-old young man. When he went out with Sophia, he was often mistaken for brothers and sisters or lovers. There were even guys with no eyes who regarded Sophia as Black's sister, which made her very annoyed.
Black doesn't have a fixed job and spends most of his time at home, enjoying robot movies that seem extremely naive to Sophia. When he goes out alone, he is always mysterious. When asked about his question "Where did you go today", he will only get ambiguous answers.
Sophia even suspected that Black was engaging in some shameful business.
Although he lives under the same roof, he has no idea what that guy is doing. Sophia, who doesn't know herself or her only "relative", can be said to be living in a complete fog.
"Go to die."
She imagined the air in front of her as Black's butt and kicked her out.
Fanatic and obsessed with the Middle Ages, indecent language, violent behavior... These characteristics determine that Sophia has nothing to do with the "lady".
But she is so popular among boys in college.
At school, she often had to find ways to deal with troubled suitors. Fortunately, it was a holiday now and she finally calmed down completely.
However, the summer vacation is almost over.
Her eyes left the blue sky and were frozen on the red brick walls of the yard.
These days, she has been sitting in the room watching TV and playing games in a daze. She can't tell the specific date. She only knows that it is about late August and school will start in a few days. She can't stay in this comfortable town for long.
You have to hurry up and enjoy it... Kill that damn monster first? You will definitely not fall asleep this time!
Sophia walked towards the main entrance of the house, ready to continue challenging the giant flying dragon.
While thinking about tactics, an inexplicable strong wind suddenly hit, blowing away her long hair.
The hair that had not been combed carefully was already in chaos. Sophia struggled to clear away the messy purple hair in front of her.
Then, she heard the deafening impact from the street.
"Car accident! Could it be Black..."
Recalling the scene when Black drove away just now, Sophia almost fell to the ground when her legs became weak.
But she gritted her teeth and took steps and ran out of the yard.
To be continued...
