Chapter 172 Directional Explosives

Chapter 172 Directional explosives

The battle ended with the failure of the Vietnamese army.

After the second company added to the front line, the Vietnamese army quickly felt the pressure, so the Vietnamese army quickly realized two points: one was that we had successfully changed defenses, and the other was that the lurking troops they rushed up had been wiped out.

So the battle quickly turned into a killing. Although the Vietnamese army was unwilling to accept the failure, they also understood that if this continued, there would be no result except for increasing casualties, so in the end, they lost a large number of corpses and retreated like a tide.

The gunshots and explosions gradually disappeared, and there were screams.

This is the only battle that the Vietnamese army has rushed into our trenches so far, so the casualties will definitely be much greater than before.

The soldiers put down their guns and quickly drove away again. They bandaged and carried the wounded... The entire battlefield was in chaos, with blood and corpses everywhere, and the air was filled with corpses, blood and gunpowder. If it weren't for the fact that they still had to fight... I wouldn't want to stay here for a moment.

"Platform leader..." Chen Yiyi found me as soon as possible, and she was relieved until she saw that I was fine.

"I'm fine!" I nodded to Chen Yiyi.

In her eyes, I saw the anxiety and worry from the bottom of my heart, and the joy at the moment of seeing me... This feeling is something I have never experienced before.

Perhaps, this is exactly what I failed... In modern times, I thought I was very popular with beauties, but I still realized that I was just being treated as a sucker by them.

At this time, a crying caught my attention. It should be said that crying was rare on the battlefield at this time. The reason was that crying would not only be looked down upon by others, but also seriously affect the morale of the troops.

Don't think that this is just a few crying. Sometimes things in the army are hard to say. Especially in the high-pressure troops on the battlefield, sometimes just a few crying will quickly infect the entire army like a plague, and arouse the fear and escape mentality of the soldiers in their hearts.

But... when I turned my head, I realized that it was the wrong thing to blame the soldiers.

They were indeed crying, but not because of pain or fear, but because of their company commander...

I saw a touching scene that I had never experienced in my life: the soldiers of the Fourth Company spontaneously stood in two rows along the trenches, and used their hands to pass down the body of the Fourth Company Commander on the stretcher one by one. Each time a soldier passed by. They shook the fourth Company Commander's hand or saluted... They were saying their final goodbye to the beloved company commander in their own way.

At this time, the regiment commander and political commissar also came up.

The regiment commander looked at the body of the fourth company commander and couldn't help but sigh: "Oh! Old Chen... You have been with me for so many years, why did you leave without saying a word... Brother, I want to play a few more games with you!"

"Fourth Company Commander!" The political commissar held the fourth company commander's hand and said excitedly: "Don't worry, have you seen it? The Japanese asked us to continue to fight again. The Fourth Company did not embarrass our troops, you have brought glory to us!"

"Wow...", a gust of wind blew on the battlefield, and the soldiers couldn't help crying.

My tears couldn't help but burst out.

This is not only for the fourth company commander, but also for other comrades who died. It is also for us soldiers who are still alive and bravely face the God of Death with their chests... What kind of suffering are we suffering? Is there anything more tragic and touching than this?

※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※

The wounded and the corpses were quickly sent down one by one. Because the Fourth Company suffered heavy casualties and the company commander was sacrificed, the 217th Highland was naturally handed over to our Second Company. However, because there were not a few people left in the scar row, it was obviously inappropriate to take on the task of guarding the canyon, so this important task fell on me.

I still readily accept this task, because I think the canyon has been blocked by two tanks, so the Japanese devils should not have the idea of this canyon. Then it would be a relaxing life to guard this canyon...

But what I didn't expect was... The only place where the Japanese invaders could pass through this pass was this canyon except for the 217 Highland. All the methods were used up in the direction of the 217 Highland, and all kinds of corpses were piled up and they still couldn't pass. So what else could they do if they didn't make the idea of this canyon?

Of course I didn't expect this at this time. I just felt that after walking on the battlefield for so long, I finally received a simple task, so I took the soldiers to the canyon to take the defense without saying a word.

Isn't this... We were still busy on the 217 Highlands just now, but a platoon stationed in the canyon did not fire a single shot, and there was no casualties, so I replaced the canyon position again, which made me even more determined that the canyon was a safe haven.

I just thought so, but I didn't dare to be careless after taking the defense. After all, this place is a must-fight for both the enemy and us. If there is any mistake, it will directly affect the life and death of the entire army.

The first thing I did after taking the defense was to bury some directional explosives on both walls of the canyon.

The so-called directional explosive is to stuff some explosive packs into the cracks of the rocks on both walls, and then use electric wires to pull them to the hidden place to detonate them immediately.

This was inspired by the scene of the previous scene of the Japanese invading the canyon: at that time, the Japanese infantry entered the canyon under the cover of tanks, and even climbed up the fortifications on both walls to fight our army... It is conceivable that if these directional explosives were available, the Japanese invaders would suffer.

However, these directional explosives are not suitable for loading too much, because every time the Vietnamese army attacks in, they will blast on both sides. If they install too much and are too dense and are hit by the Vietnamese Japanese tank guns, it will be useless.

The second thing...is directional explosives.

But this directional explosive is a bit different. The directional explosive just now deals with the Vietnamese infantry? Previous combat experience tells us... Infantry is still easy to deal with in this canyon, but the difficult thing is the Vietnamese tanks, which are the Vietnamese t62 with night vision capabilities.

Just as the Scar platoon passed by the Vietnamese tanks before, the 40 bazooka was not very accurate... This is mainly because the wind in the canyon was too strong. This canyon can be said to be the only exit south of the Sabah area, so the mountain wind kept pouring hard, and the 40 fire was easily affected by the wind, so few shots could hit it.

In addition, the arc of the t62 tank turret is easy to cause jumping, and the armor protection is also good. At the same time, infrared night vision can also track the trajectory of 40 fire and react quickly... Therefore, using 40 fire to deal with Vietnamese tanks in this canyon is not a good choice.

Since it is impossible to deal with 40 fires... all I can think of is naturally directional explosives.

After all, there is only one path in this canyon, right? Anyway, the Vietnamese T62 has to pass through this path no matter what, so we just need to bury the explosives into the center of the path... and wait for the Vietnamese Japanese tanks to come up.

Some people may say... Isn't the bottom of this tank also armored? Can the buried explosive pack explode the t62?

This starts with the thickness of the tank's armor. As the saying goes, there must be a shield. The thickness of the tank's armor is not the same in all parts. Tanks also pay attention to speed and efficiency. To pay attention to these, it is necessary to reduce the weight appropriately and reduce the weight... Then, the thickness of the tank armor must be scientifically allocated.

How to allocate?

Simply put, the armor should be thicker in parts that often have to withstand enemy attacks, such as the front armor of the tank or the front of the turret, which are 100mm to 230mm thick. It is not easy to be attacked by enemy shells, such as rear armor, upper and lower parts of the tank... The armor thickness should be thin, especially the bottom of the tank... There is basically no shell in this part that can be hit, right? Unless someone burys the cannon underground, the armor thickness is only 15mm to 30mm... This thickness can be penetrated even with an anti-aircraft machine gun, so the explosive pack is not to mention.

The third thing... If you really say it, it is directional explosives.

But this directional explosive is a bit different... I found that there are two protruding boulders above the canyon, which weighs a few tons... I really don't know how heavy it is. Anyway, it's scary, just hanging above the canyon, it's like it can't fall off. So I evilly asked the soldiers to dig a few holes in the force of these boulders and then install explosives... Anyway, there are explosives in the Japanese ammunition depot, and it's useless if you don't need it.

After doing this, we will transfer some incendiary bombs to the hands of the soldiers in each platoon... There is no need to explain the function of this thing too much. It can make t62 lose its night vision ability and allow us to discover the target more clearly. This kind of treasure that can transform the enemy's darkness into the enemy's darkness is of course essential.

The leader also knew the role of this incendiary bomb in the canyon, so he cooperated very well and collected all the incendiary bombs for us to use.

However, the Vietnamese army did not have many shells, and we had to look for incendiary bombs among the few shells, so we only found dozens of shells, and each of the three squads under my command was divided into more than a dozen.

This made me sigh: If I were asked to guard somewhere next time, then don’t think about anything... I will first ask for dozens of boxes of incendiary bombs.

Finally, I numbered each directional explosive, marked these numbers on the map and strictly verified with each class... The purpose of this is very simple, to clarify the corresponding location of each directional explosive. If I messed up the corresponding explosives, then it would be a random blow-up.
