Chapter 1036 Free choice and the inevitability of the plot

Demonstrate the new Jelico missile at the Lighthouse Country Military Base.

While leaving the car, a missile exploded around him and lost consciousness.

Wake up in a cave and be forced by terrorists to build missiles for them.

Successfully created Mark1 to escape, returned to the Lighthouse Kingdom to hold a press conference and announced the closure of Stark's military industry.

Inspired by mark1, I decided to develop a brand new wearable armor.

...

Zhang Zhibin spent some time and finally fully integrated into Tony Stark's character setting.

During the progress of the plot, through the reactions of the surrounding NPCs, Zhang Zhibin slowly learned about Tony Stark's personality.

He is a genius of science and technology and can develop technology products far beyond the times, but he is also a playboy, arrogant, unpunctual, often ignores the feelings of people around him, and sometimes even lacks basic self-care ability like those scientific madmen.

But it has to be admitted that he has a unique personal charm that makes everyone around him unable to help but get close to him. Even if he is often as willful as a child, they will tolerate him.

Of course, these are all inferred by Zhang Zhibin through the reactions of people around him. The "original Stark" no longer exists. Now the Stark played by Zhang Zhibin has become another person.

Zhang Zhibin didn't think there was anything wrong with this. He played Tony Stark according to his personality and habits and enjoyed it.

Obviously, the people around Stark, including Colonel James and Little Pepper, were very surprised by Tony Stark's change. This situation was something that Zhang Zhibin was very happy to see.

This made him feel that he was not experiencing other people's lives from the perspective of others, but was truly replacing them.

During the game plot, Zhang Zhibin also roughly understood why this degree of freedom can be achieved in the game "Iron Man".

This so-called "freedom" is actually not unlimited.

In fact, the game of "Iron Man" is a box game, and its story is divided into small sections. Inside each section, players can act as they like, and there will be no decisive impact between sections.

To give a simple example, in the "casino" scenario, players can choose to receive the prize first and then go to the casino, or they can choose not to receive the prize and go to the casino directly.

If you choose the latter, the plot is closer to the movie plot; choosing the former is nothing more than adding a playable part of the speech to the player.

Similarly, did you choose to spend the night with female reporter Christina, whether you were late when you rushed to the military base of Lighthouse Country, where to escape when you were attacked on the road, and whether you agreed to build missiles for terrorists at the beginning in the cave...

Players can try different choices according to their own ideas in each link, but these choices will not affect the plot of the next link.

For example, in this scene of attack, no matter where the player runs, the missile will "precisely" land on the front of the player, and then explode, sending the key shrapnel that advances the plot to the player's body.

But what if the player is in opposition to some key plots?

For example, in the plot at the press conference, Tony Stark announced the closure of Stark Industry's weapons research and development department. If the player deliberately said at the press conference that he wanted to "increase investment in weapons research and development", wouldn't that be completely contrary to the plot?

In order to solve this problem, consciousness implantation technology must be used.

First of all, the players have experienced the cave plot personally and are very clear about the impact of Stark Industry's missiles. Most players will make the same choice as Tony Stark from the bottom of their hearts after experiencing this plot.

Secondly, when the player stands on the podium, the consciousness implantation technology will implant a relatively strong idea in the player's mind "close the Stark Industrial Weapons Department". This idea will affect the player's decision and guide him to make the right choice.

Finally, what if the player has to do the plot opposite?

That is equivalent to driving into the river, not completing the mission, being shot dead by terrorists, which is equivalent to gameover, and the plot starts over from the previous checkpoint.

Although there is a high degree of freedom, the whole story still has a plot line and can deviate, but it is definitely not completely opposite.

This approach makes a good balance between "degree of freedom" and "the main plot line". Through the practice of box-style games, players can achieve a preliminary "high degree of freedom" in the virtual world.

...

At this time, Zhang Zhibin, or Tony Stark, was standing in front of the holographic projection, and with the help of Jarvis, he made a new suit, mark2.

"I really didn't expect that I actually experienced the feeling of a science madman in the virtual world. I have to say, this feeling... is great."

Zhang Zhibin looked at the mark1 projection in front of him. He only needed to move the virtual projection to remove the excess parts on it one by one, and then designed a brand new drawing with the help of Jarvis.

There will be many thoughts in his mind, such as adding a new jet assembly here, adding a new controller there, or what special shape to use.

By following these ideas, you can get an increasingly accurate model. Or you can simply hand over most of the work to Jarvis, and the holographic projection model of mark2 will also be automatically generated.

Then, Zhang Zhibin successfully made the leg components of mark2.

After the dressing was completed, Zhang Zhibin couldn't wait to try it on.

Jarvis prompted him to choose a value of axial load support, and suggested that the value be between 1% and 10%.

"Then let's 5%." Zhang Zhibin chose an intermediate number.

Three seconds later, Zhang Zhibin felt a powerful thrust coming from his feet. He couldn't help but soared into the air, then turned around and fell heavily to the ground with his back on the ground.

"Che..."

The fire extinguishing robot next to him sprayed his face with dry powder.

What Zhang Zhibin didn't know was that he was actually quite lucky.

Tony Stark chose 10% axial load support and then he stuck his whole body to the wall. He chose 5%, just to touch the ground on his back.

Continue to make hand armor.

This time, Zhang Zhibin wore the hand and foot armor and chose to start with 1% axial load support force.

Mark1 also has flight functions, but is not perfect. Tony just barely took off a parabola and crashed into the desert.

Starting from mark2, the Iron Man suit has the ability to truly fly freely and accurately control. What Zhang Zhibin is now experiencing is the process of conducting flight tests.
