Chapter 2 The Alchemist (1)

A Dai was stunned and subconsciously raised his head. He saw the old man's wrinkled face again. There was no expression on his face and was staring at him, "What, what's the problem?"

The old man frowned slightly and thought to himself, it turned out to be a silly boy, it would be better to be stupid, wouldn't it be right? "I asked you just now, have you never been full?"

Ah Dai nodded, feeling that the old man didn't seem to have any intention of hitting him. He couldn't help but become a little bolder and said, "Yes, yes, I know you must be very angry. If you don't hit me, can you let me go?" Although the fish-harding failed this time, the day was very long after all, and Ah Dai felt that he still had the opportunity to complete the task. He would never be discouraged by the fish-harding failure. For his beloved steamed bun, he still had to continue working hard and do his role well.

The old man touched the corner of his mouth slightly and said, "Have I ever said I won't hit you? You stole my wallet, and it seems normal for me to hit you."

A Dai's face, which had just relaxed a little, collapsed again, and returned to his hands holding his head, lowered his head and said, "Then, can you stop hitting me in the hand?"

The old man asked in surprise: "Why?"

A Dai whispered: "Because, because I still have to hold fish. If my hand breaks, I can't hold fish. If I can't hold fish, I can't eat steamed buns, and I will be beaten by Uncle Li."

"Charge fish? Uncle Li?" The old man was stunned for a moment and understood what it means to hold fish, and also understood that Uncle Li was the head of the dazed thief in front of him. He felt a little funny in his heart. The thief was caught by the victim and asked him not to hit him in the hand. The silly boy in front of him was really stupid!

"It's still light to hit you. As my identity, even if I kill you, no one will cause trouble for me. Do you believe it or not?"

A Dai was stunned and said, "Kill me? If I kill me, wouldn't I die? What does death feel like? Can you tell me first? Will death hurt so much? After death, there will be no steamed buns to eat."

The old man suddenly felt that when he talked to this stupid boy, he seemed to be much more cheerful. However, the old man could never have thought that the thin boy in front of him who asked him what it felt like to die had become a powerful "death god" on the mainland and the person who brought death to others for more than ten years.

"Do you want to be full?" The old man decided not to delay with Ah Dai anymore and went straight to the topic.

Speaking of eating, Ah Dai suddenly became energetic. The steamed bun I ate in the morning had been digested in the cold weather. His stomach rumbling, raised his head, and looked at the old man eagerly and said, "I want to eat a lot! I want to eat the most. Or, you can give me a purple coin, just one is enough." When I thought of the chicken legs, Ah Dai's saliva flowed out along the corners of his mouth.

The old man said, "I won't give you money, but if you want to eat, just follow me. I will let you eat enough, and I won't hit you."

A Dai's eyes lit up. In the morning, he wanted to be taken away like a girl, and his wish came true. He asked carefully: "Really, can I really make me full?"

The old man nodded and said, "You can ask for any other requests. I will try my best to satisfy you, but I may not come back for a long time. You have to think it through." He didn't want to get a child back, cry with him every day, and kill him at that time, and find another one.

A Dai shook his head and said, "I am willing to go with you. As long as I can eat enough, I have no other request."

The old man nodded with satisfaction and said, "It's time to work with me. Are you afraid of hard work?"

"Work? What kind of work?" A Dai murmured.

The old man said, "It's better than being a thief. At least I won't hit you, right? I can teach you if you don't know."

A Dai lowered his head and said, "But, but, I am very stupid. They all said I am stupid. Can I learn it?"

The old man said impatiently: "I said you can learn it, just follow me." After that, he turned around and walked out of the alley.

A Dai responded and followed the old man out. After walking a few steps, the old man suddenly stopped. A Dai didn't pay attention and just hit the old man's back. "Ouch." A Dai cried out in pain, covered his nose, and looked at the old man in confusion.

The old man turned around and said, "What's your name?"

Ah Dai said: "My name is Ah Dai."

The old man mocked, "Ah Dai? It's true that he is as famous as his name! Remember, my name is Goris, and I am an alchemist. From now on, you will be my apprentice."

Ah Dai nodded, afraid that he would forget it, and kept reciting: "Die in the song, die in the song,..."

The old man raised his voice and said, "My name is Goris, it's not that I die in the song, please remember it clearly. You will call me teacher in the future."

"Oh, oh, I get it, old, teacher. But, what does the teacher mean."

Goris felt that he was really defeated by this little guy, and he explained helplessly: "Teacher, is the one who teaches you things." After saying that, he turned his head and walked out of the alley. Even if the president of the Alchemist Union heard it, he would express a respectful expression. After all, although he was unhappy, he was always one of the few master-level alchemists.

Ah Dai suddenly thought of Uncle Li's behavior after the girl left yesterday, so he hurriedly chased after him and said, "Teacher, can you accompany me to say to Uncle Li, he has eaten steamed buns for me for so long, and I want to leave, so I have to say hello to him, otherwise he will be angry."

Goris thought for a moment, nodded and said, "Okay, lead the way." Originally, he didn't need to go with A Dai, but for his own plan, he had to let A Dai follow him wholeheartedly, so he agreed to A Dai's suggestion that he could not be foolish.

Ah Da was leading the way, and he walked around and took Goris to the south corner of the city. Outside the dilapidated house where he had lived for more than a year, at this time, most of the children were sent out to work by Uncle Li, and there was no noise. Goris frowned and said, "Is it this place?"

Ah Dai nodded, carefully pushed open the unsolid wooden door, and walked in first.

Uncle Li was holding a wine jar in the room and drinking a small wine. Since Ah Dai's level of fish has become higher and higher, his income has gradually increased. He no longer has to go out to work on his own. He was fantasizing that in a few years, he could save more money and live a more comfortable life. He could even marry a woman and be a good old man, and no longer have to go to the broken kiln to vent. With his eyes closed in alcohol and daydreaming, the door suddenly opened, and Ah Dai's thin figure appeared in front of him.

"Well? Why are you back so soon? Have you led a few fish?"

A Dai said in a little scared: "Uncle Li, I, I didn't lead the fish."

As soon as he heard that Ah Dai had not brought back the results, Uncle Li's voice suddenly became sharp and his fierce eyes widened, "Didn't lead the fish? Why are you doing when you come back? The skin is tighter again, right?"

A Dai's body trembled and he said timidly: "I, I'm coming back to say goodbye to you."

Uncle Li was shocked and jumped off the bed with a bang, "Do you want to leave? After eating my meal for so long, you just want to leave, your wings are hard? Isn't it?" How could he bear to leave his own money tree? He didn't feel sorry for the girl. Even if he stayed, the one who could not lead the fish would only waste food. Even if it was sold to a slave trader, it would probably not be sold much. But A Dai was different. Now almost half of the income is brought by A Dai, and he would never let his money tree leave. Uncle Li tried to control his voice softer and said, "Are you hungry again? I'll give you another steamed bun to eat, and then take me the fish obediently. Don't have any bad thoughts, otherwise, hum." He shook his fist and looked at A Dai threatened.

The long-term accumulation of power made A Dai unconsciously want to retreat. It was a good thing to eat one more steamed bun! He was hesitating and didn't know what to say, when Goris's voice sounded, "Otherwise, what can you do to him?" As footsteps sounded, Goris' tall figure appeared beside A Dai, and Uncle Li seemed so obscene and small in front of him.

"You, who are you?" Uncle Li asked.

Goris said lightly: "You don't have to worry about who I am. Ah Dai and I came here just to tell you that I want to take him away. From now on, he will not be a thief under your command."

Uncle Li's heart was a little chilled. In front of this person who couldn't see clearly, there seemed to be an invisible pressure that made him breathless, but interests were the most important after all. He mustered up the courage and said, "No, you can't take him away. No wonder he dared to leave me. It turned out that he had found a backstage. I'll beat you to death." As he said that, he punched Ah Dai in the chest.

A Dai subconsciously shrank, waiting for the pain to come, but there was no movement for a long time. A Dai opened his eyes and found that Uncle Li's fist did not hit him, but stayed in the air, and a thin hand grabbed his wrist. Cold sweat was flowing down from Uncle Li's forehead.

"I said that he is my apprentice now, and you don't have the right to hit him again." Goris pushed and threw Uncle Li aside. He was not as fragile as an ordinary magician. Although he didn't have any martial arts, he didn't even see a character like Uncle Li.

Uncle Li covered his wrist and cursed angrily: "You, you bastard, do you want to steal someone?"

Goris sneered and said, "A scoundrel like you should have been punished by the gods. If you are entangled again, I will let you go to hell." As he said that, he stretched out the right hand that had just grabbed Uncle Li, and a few strange spells came from the cloak in a blur. The black flame suddenly appeared in Goris's palm. The flames flashed with a strange light. Goris waved his hand, and the black flame turned into a line of fire and fell on the only three-legged wooden table in the room. There was no sound or sign of burning. The wooden table disappeared out of thin air, without even a little ashes, and only a trace of unpleasant smell remained in the air.

Ah Dai and Uncle Li were both stunned, Ah Dai said, "Teacher, are you doing magic? Why is there no table?"

Goris looked at him and said, "This is not magic, it is called magic." If any magician at the intermediate level or above level saw the scene just now, he would be surprised to find that the flames used by Goris were a fusion magic that combines dark magic and fire magic.

Uncle Li's teeth kept colliding up and down, "You, you are a magician. Master Magician, don't, don't kill me." He knew very clearly that if a small person like him wanted to kill himself, it would be as easy as squeezing an ant, and no one would care about the life and death of a thief. What's more, except for the Holy Church and the Suodi Federation, no matter which country the magician was in, as long as he was not a noble, he had a certain right to forgive him. No one was willing to offend them.

Goris turned his head and said to Ah Dai, "I have already explained it, let's go."

Ah Dai looked at Uncle Li, and Uncle Li fell down and sat there without saying a word. After all, compared to money, life seems to be more important.
