Chapter 359: Children of the Madman

Holding the little girl holding a volleyball ball in his arms, Ryan walked out of the banquet hall where the charity dinner was held and headed towards the parking lot. After the reminder of the Paramount director, he had already thought of who the teenage man and woman were.

This is just a battle of loyalty between the little girls. Ryan didn't care at all. I guess such a thing would be laughed at if he was a normal person. Even if Larry Ellison is arrogant, he would not teach his children to be truly arrogant idiots.

But what Ryan didn't expect was that he was stopped just after he walked out of the banquet hall.

"Mr. Jenkins, can you talk if you have time?"

The young man who talked was at most sixteen years old, and the girl with a long face next to him was the one who competed for volleyball with Taylor.

The two girls were staring at each other, looking as if they wanted to kill each other with their eyes.

"Alison, where is your etiquette."

Ryan pulled La Taylor, the little guy withdrew his gaze, his nose almost wrinkled into the sky.

"I'm David Ellison, this is my sister Megan Ellison."

After gently snatching the other party's hand, Ryan nodded, "Then find a place."

In his previous life, although David Ellison was a famous Hollywood sucker, it made no sense to Ryan. He was not an independent filmmaker who could not find investment.

Entering the lounge near the banquet hall, Ryan sat opposite the brother and sister who had a toothache that Hollywood producers hated in his previous life, quietly savoring the coffee, wondering what they would say in life?

"Mr. Jenkins..."

"Call me Ryan." After all, he is not a few years older than the other party.

"Okay, Ryan." David Ellison seemed to want to show his father's style, but unfortunately he had an unconcealed immaturity on his face. "I know your time is precious, so just say it."

"Yeah~" Ryan made a gesture of asking for help.

"I want to participate in the investment in the Harry Potter movie series. Money..." David Ellison was really learning from his mad daddy, "Not a problem!"

"Sorry, I'm not short of money."

What a joke, he cooperated with Warner because he could win-win. What benefits can he have to accept their investment? Let them make money for nothing?

Oracle is amazing, but its influence is still in IT-related industries. Why should I share my interests with them? Just because their surname is Ellison? Just because they have a madman and rich father? Maybe they have some influence in the media, but they can compare with people in the circle like him and Time Warner?

Sometimes, it is not just a saying, just a journey apart.

"For... why?" David Ellison probably never thought Ryan would refuse so simply.

“I’m not short of money.”

Ryan slapped Taylor's hand secretly, and the little girl yawned tacitly. "Ryan, I want to go home and sleep."

"Well..." Ryan just nodded, and David Ellison spoke again, "Megan and I like movies very much..."

"David, don't you mind calling me that, do you? Thank you." Ryan shook his head and said directly. "I don't lack Harry Potter's investment. I know more than anyone else what kind of benefits this series can bring. Also, liking movies and investing in movies are two different things."

As he said that, he stood up and finally said, "Also, please give me a thank you to Mr. Larry Ellison, thank you for his private island!"

The filming of "Jurassic Park 2" is about renting Larry Ellison's private island, but it is a rental that is clearly priced and has nothing to do with human relationships.

When he got into the car, Ryan recalled more about the past of the brother and sister. Although he was nicknamed Hollywood's biggest sucker in the early stage, his development went smoothly later. And as David Ellison said, they were indeed people who really like movies.

But so what? With more people who really like movies, he can't just come to him and just share his own interests with them, right?

Besides, their appearance is a boon for independent films, but it is the public enemy of Hollywood studios.

Unfortunately, Ryan is becoming the representative of interest in several major studio alliances, and naturally he is not on the same front as them.

It has nothing to do with their mad daddy, and it has nothing to do with Meghan Ellison and Taylor's night fight, it has nothing to do with interests.

It seems that after entering the new century, Paramount fell into a financial crisis. David Ellison forced Paramount to agree that he would give priority to investing in Paramount's filming projects, such as "Mission Impossible", "Special Forces", "Star Trek", "Transformers", etc., which brought him huge returns.

Unfortunately, now that Hollywood has its own, even if the economic crisis comes, Paramount will not be his turn to save it.

Ryan didn't know if David Ellison came out to invest in the movie Larry Ellison, but with that crazy person's personality, even if his son squandered money, he probably wouldn't be very disciplined.

He shook his head and dispersed these messy thoughts. Anyway, he would not have any interaction with oracle bone inscriptions in the future.

"Ryan, are you going to London tomorrow?" The little girl looked at him with her eyes glittering.

"Yeah, my dear." Ryan rubbed her blonde hair, "Harry Potter's crew is over, and the actor auditions are about to officially begin."

In a blink of an eye, 1999 is here, and the new century is about to come.

"Can you bring me?" Taylor's face full of hope.

"I'm going to work and I don't have time to play with you." Ryan sighed when he saw the little girl dropping her head, "Let's do it, my dear, when the movie starts filming, I will definitely take you over and play."

"Okay." The little girl who just celebrated her ninth birthday was obviously much more sensible.

The RV parked straight in front of a luxury villa. This was the new home that Swift's house had recently replaced. It was several times larger than before. Scott Swift worked as an investment agent for Ryan and Nicole over the years, as well as Jenkins Film's dividends and his own investment, making enough money.

Taylor pushed open the car door, jumped down and ran into the villa. Ryan, who was following behind, clearly heard her swaying voice, "Look, Austin, this is Mr. Wilson, my New Year's gift!"

"You have so many dolls, you never give them to me." The little boy with blond hair seemed a little weak when facing his sister.

"That's all limited editions, do you understand, Austin?" Taylor opened his royal blue eyes wide, "You lost all the ones I gave you before, and they are all limited editions and can't be bought outside!"

After saying hello to the Swifts, Ryan walked up to the little boy, "Hi, Austin, you're taller than last time."

"If you grow taller, you will be bullied by your sister." The little boy murmured.

"Hey, Austin, how could you say that?" Taylor was immediately dissatisfied. "Don't forget that the last time the Lina sisters in the neighbor's house bullied you, I drove them away."

"But you are sister, this is what you should do."

After rubbing the heads of the two little guys, Ryan and Scott walked into the study. Mrs. Andrea brought black tea and helped them close the door tightly when they left.

"How is the stock market now?" After drinking a sip of black tea, Ryan put down the tea cup.

"Crazy." Scott frowned, "It's incredible."

"Don't you think this kind of crazy is not normal?" Ryan reminded.

"It's very abnormal." Scott was originally a good investor. With more and more funds in charge in recent years, he has long become one of the most well-informed people on Wall Street. "But most investors have become frenzy driven by the crazy rise in indexes. The entire market looks extremely prosperous. Some people say that the spring in America has arrived."

People are always blinded by interests, and how many people can get rid of greed?

Why are IT stocks so crazy? Although there is a relationship between computers and networks, some people’s behind-the-scenes push is not related, and even the people who promote it may not know when it will collapse. Ryan doesn’t want to take risks. “Scott, after the Oscar, he has planned to sell off the IT stocks in his hands.”

"All?" Scott was obviously surprised, it was an amazing fortune.

Ryan is not referring to companies holding companies like Pixar Studios, but the outstanding stocks of IT companies such as Microsoft, Dell, and Apple that have been stolen since the early 1990s, and there are also a large number of Cisco shares.

Unlike other IT companies, Cisco was listed in 1990 and was not very prominent when it first went public. Scott used the working capital Ryan and Nicole to buy a considerable amount of shares.

"Just keep a small amount of Yahoo shares and have a say on the board, and the rest, including Cisco, will be removed by the end of the year."

Over the years, Ryan has long been no financial idiot. If he waits to leave next year, it will be too late. Although none of the shares in Microsoft and other IT holdings exceed 5% - more than 5% must be reported by the China Securities Regulatory Commission - it is not certain that it will cause a collapse in advance if it is thrown into the stock market in a short period of time.

Ryan has a rough impression, as if the precursor to the collapse of his previous life was a large order of Microsoft stock selling.

The Cisco shares he has exceeded 10%. With such a large number, the best way is to contact other buyers to transfer. The best goal is to be Cisco's board members, which all take time.

"Ryan, you mean the stock market will collapse next year?"

"No, no, no." Ryan shook his head, "Scott, I can't even be an amateur in this regard, but it is definitely not normal for the stock market to rise so rapidly. I can't say when a disaster will happen. Think about it, how much money did we invest in the beginning? How much money can we make back when the stock is transferred now? At least ten times the profit is right? This money is enough for us to do more."

"Greed is an original sin." Scott was still very sober.

"Greed can lead to unpredictable consequences." Ryan sighed, "We have earned enough and it is not worth the risk."

"That's the reason."

This kind of words are easy to say, but there are a few people who can do it. Scot nodded, "Leave it to me."
