Chapter 102 It is better to lick the ground than to fight in the air

Like Storm, Seafurious, they were designed by the British Hawk Aircraft Company.?

The works of this old company founded in the 1920s have similar blood characteristics: solid and thick wings, thick main landing gear, towering vertical tail... The natural appearance of a fighter bomber, no wonder Hawke was not in the air-optimal fighter market.

The last two fighters that Hawke inherited this gene, Fury and SeaFury, were not well-known because they did not catch up with World War II.

Among them, Fury failed to enter the Royal Air Force service, and Hair Fury became the last piston carrier-based fighter of the Royal Navy. Many people only learned through flight competitions that such a tough Hawk fighter still existed.

The 5o production model TF895 was piloted by test pilot R.V. Morriel on September 7, 1946. These initial models were basically the same as the sR666, equipped with a Bristol 2,55o horsepower Sagittarius xVIII18-cylinder air-cooled motor, which drives a pair of 4-blade propellers. These Hair X are air-optimal fighters, with weapons of 4 hispano 2o mm cannons, and are equipped with 58o ammunition. All production work was carried out at the Kingston factory in Hock Kingston.

The Seafire X first appeared as an air-optimal fighter, but with the launch of the Seafire MK.47 in February 1948, the Navy began to question whether it was necessary to equip two air-optimal fighters at the same time.

Hair Fury has a strong and sturdy structure, is naturally the material for fighter bombers, and also has the ability to hang bullets under the wings, so Hawke was asked to change the second batch of production Hair Fury to combat bombing mechanism type.

Thanks to the large number of plug-in weapons deployed on the Sea Rage X: bombs, rockets, mines and rockets to boost takeoff tests, Hawke made only some minor changes based on the Sea Rage X and launched the combat bombing type: Sea Rage FB.11.

In terms of appearance, the only difference between Hair Fu FB.11 and Hair Fu x is that it has added a lower wing hanger, while there are 55 minor changes inside, including the addition of armor and other protective measures. In addition to the climb rate, the performance of FB.11 is close to Hair Fu x, because the total weight has increased from 4,835 kg to 5,67o kg, and climbing to 9,144 meters takes 10 minutes, compared to Hair Fu x 9.8 minutes. After mounting the secondary fuel tank, the FB.11's range increased from 1,126 kilometers to 1,673 kilometers.

The internal weapon of FB.11 is still 4 Hispano cannons. The lower wing mount on the outside of the main landing gear can carry two 227 kg or 455 kg bombs, or 12 rockets (6 rocket mounts need to be added under the wing, with two slide rails on each mount), or 4 82 kg "triple" rockets (composed of 3 rocket motors and one howitzer shell, which is extremely powerful).

After Haiwu FB.11, it was Storm mk.V.

The "Typhoon" was originally designed as a more advanced fighter than the "Spray Fire". The climb rate and high altitude are not ideal during use, especially when the aerodynamic characteristics deteriorate and are not easy to change from the dive. During use, it is gradually used as a fighter bomber and ground attack aircraft. Hawke began to develop an improved "Typhoon" in March 194o, trying to make the "Typhoon" the original intended advanced fighter.

After research, changing the wing shape and thinning of the "Typhoon" can greatly improve the performance of the "Typhoon". Then, a wing shape that is closer to the elliptical than the "Typhoon" was adopted, and the wing tip was thinned by 14.5% at 37.5% of the wing chord length and 10% thinning. After the wing thinning, the capacity of the wing fuel tank was reduced, so the motor bracket was extended forward by 21 inches, adding a 76-gallon fuselage fuel tank behind the engine firewall. The improved aircraft and the "Typhoon" have very similar appearance, but the two can still be distinguished from the shape of the wing and the length of the nose.

On November 18, 1941, the British Air Force ordered two prototypes, called "Typhoon II". In the spring of 1942, the UK had a variety of 2,000 horsepower-class motivations to choose from. Hawke proposed several solutions to modify different motivations for the British Air Force to choose again. In order to ensure that fighter jets with advanced performance, the British Air Force asked Hawke to launch 5 types and 6 prototypes at the same time for the final choice. In August of the same year, "Typhoon II" was renamed "Storm".

The Storm Mk. V type is not the best in the "Storm" series in terms of flight performance, but the sabre II equipped has the most stable performance. Other types of aircraft take longer to mass production. The V type becomes the largest production model and is also the only model equipped during the war. On June 21, 1943, the production model (Jn7o9) was delivered to the army. A total of 861 aircraft were produced.

Since they are both produced by the same company, the flying feel of the Sea Rage and Storm is also very similar. It is fast, fast, high operational, and has a crazy firepower (Sizpano).

Although the model of these four-door Sispano is mk.V, and the ballistic Mk.II is not as good as long tube, it is not as good as qualitative change, and the load capacity is very sufficient, so it is still very comfortable to sweep.

Of course, there are still some differences between the two aircraft. The high-altitude performance of Storm Mk.V is not as good as that of the Hair FB.11, but fortunately, it is extremely fast at low altitude, and few combat aircraft of 5.7 can pass it at low altitude.

"Storm Mk.V and Hair Rage Mk.11 are both heavy fighters with a weight of more than four tons, and their gameplay is mainly BZ. However, according to Betty's plan, there is still an advantage in choosing them, that is, they can hang two 1ooo-pound bombs."

The airport is like a war zone, and it is necessary to throw a certain amount of explosives before it will be judged as damaged. The load of Storm mk.V and Hair FB.11 is not small, so it is okay to get an assist.

When it comes to the endgame, maybe you can still hang rockets and go to the opposite team to harvest a wave. After the fight, I feel that I can get a lot of points.

Maybe someone will ask Yin Yu why he didn't directly choose an attack aircraft? That's because a large part of the scores of attack aircraft and bombers lick the ground are distributed to escort fighters, but there are not so many problems with fighters licking the ground.
