Section 63 Model Textile Factory

Zou Biao feels that the current dilemma of the cotton textile industry is for two reasons:

The first aspect is the planning issue during the 15th Five-Year Plan. At the beginning, the Planning Institute did not intend to spend much effort on cotton textiles, and various imported cotton cloths, both domestic and imported, can fully meet basic needs. If it were not for meeting some special needs, it would probably not even be built in this demonstration textile factory.

Of course, from Zou Biao's perspective, it is difficult to say that the Planning Institute's decision is problematic. Regardless of the abundant supply of cotton cloth, just the objective conditions in Hainan, it is indeed not suitable for the development of the cotton textile industry.

Although Hainan is the birthplace of cotton textile technology, compared with Songjiang, its production efficiency has been left several streets by Songjiang. Jiangnan not only has large-scale cotton spinning, but also has an equally large silk weaving industry. The base of handicraftsmen in loom manufacturing is much more than that in Hainan, and the improvement of technology and technology is much faster. Hainan actually does not have a large-scale textile industry. It is basically still in the stage of family side business.

The second aspect is the business model issue. During the 15th Five-Year Plan period, due to the demand for "specially used" products such as canvas, the Planning Institute believed that a limited-scale textile industry could be established. In order to reduce investment, it proposed a relatively scam model of buying spinning bags. The result is also obvious: the collected yarn cannot be hung on a mechanical loom.

The yarn production by hand-spinning by manpower is not uniform and stable. Once a weaver is hung on the loom, it is very easy to break and the quality of the cloth is relatively poor. Especially for warp yarns that bear tension, they are easily broken when the force is large, causing difficulties in production. The strength of the yarn causes the machine to fail to increase in production. Even if the carded cotton is subcontracted to the processing owner, this problem cannot be solved. Only by using mechanical power can the yarn be produced uniformly and toughly, and at least it must be used to use hydraulic power, making it difficult for human power to spin a better quality yarn. These machines often require a certain area of land and are not affordable by ordinary farmers, and only workshop owners with a certain capital can bear it.

These two problems combined naturally form an embarrassing situation in the textile industry. Zou Biao had to reluctantly continue to be his person in charge.

With the launch of the Senate's "Capacity Expansion Plan", the textile industry was reorganized with the help of private capital and was put on the agenda of the Ministry of Light Industry. Zou Biaoxi, who was already discouraged, got an assistant from the sky: a sucker, Li Shan, was willing to take on the promotion of textiles and be responsible for helping the light textile industry to attract investment and sales.

So Li Shan came to partner with him.

Li Shan also studied mechanical engineering, but after graduating from college, he was persuaded to retire by a low-wage and high-intensity profession, and he switched to a real estate company as an intermediary. He has a lot of experience in persuading people to invest.

The Guangzhou bid was successfully completed, and both of them were very excited. First, the textile industry has developed greatly and their voice will increase accordingly; second, they can eliminate all kinds of old equipment in the factory. To upgrade the industry, Zou Biao has been planning to launch a new loom over the years.

In order to welcome the financial owners, starting three days ago, the demonstration textile factory stopped work in different areas and production lines, cleaned and wiped the repair equipment. From top to bottom, they were busy. The two of them inspected back and forth several times and roughly drew a visiting route, which allowed the financial owners to fully understand the entire production process of cotton textiles.

After the last check-up, the two of them returned to the office with their sore legs.

The office was originally exclusive to Zou Biao, but after Li Shan came, he squeezed with him and discussed it easier.

A sharp whistle sounded outside, and Zou Biao subconsciously looked at the wall clock on the wall: 7 o'clock in the evening.

In another hour, the day shift workers will get off work. When the night shift workers living in the factory dormitory area hear the whistle, they will be ready to go to work.

He glanced at the latest factory injury monthly report and sighed secretly. Although the safety of textile factories is comparable to other industrial enterprises, according to the old time and space standards, the work-related injury and occupational disease incidence of demonstration factories are still too high. The reason is self-evident. Working in a workshop filled with noise and moisture for twelve hours is too labor-intensive and overly exhausted.

The current schedule of the demonstration factory is that each team works 12 hours under the two-shift rotation system. Among them, there are 30 minutes of meal time and 15 minutes of rest every 4 hours, so the actual working time reaches 11 hours.

Initially, the demonstration textile factory did not arrange shifts. Production was stopped before dark. The reason was that there was a lot of cotton dust in the textile factory, and once it caught fire, it might cause a large fire. The danger of using gas lamps for night lighting was too high. Later, after the power outlet was able to produce electric lights, the Planning Institute changed the textile factory to a two-shift rotation enterprise for 24-hour production.

Zou Biao has always complained about the Planning Institute: Since most of the current production of cotton cloth is "specially used" and is price-insensitive products, why do you need to use this radical cost-cutting method? It itself does not belong to a product that must be produced continuously. Moreover, the cotton textile industry has never been the main development industry, and there is no need to store workers through a multi-shift system.

However, no matter how much he complains, he is no exception when the industrial enterprises in the Senate generally adopt a two-shift production model.

"Old Zou, how about this arrangement?" Li Shan handed him the reception form. Zou Shan is over fifty years old, and the one who is serious is Lao Zou.

"We have studied these things a lot. Do you need to do it again?" Zou Biao pushed open the document, "We will study how to sell all the backward production capacity tomorrow..."

"The price of your second-five ring spinning is really not reduced?" Li Shan asked. The advantages of ring spinning are very large. First of all, the area is much smaller. The key is that the efficiency has been greatly improved.

"It's really not possible. The spindle spinning is mechanically powered. The spindle body is okay. In the past, it was made of Qinggang Oak. Without Qinggang Oak, you can find substitutes. However, the spindle shaft, roller, and yarn guide hook must be iron, otherwise the wear will be too serious, and the mechanics in the textile factory will curse. It's okay for us to use it ourselves, but after Lao Cai, they have poor mechanics and have bad machines every few days, so don't you go crazy?"

"The current steel quota has increased, but the price is still too high to be honest." Li Shan frowned, "I'm afraid the old money can't accept it."

"It's not impossible for you to put on wood, but the loss rate will increase." Zou Biao said, "I have considered similar issues, or I will use later maintenance only to replace and not repair it. This can greatly reduce the maintenance pressure and reduce downtime. However, this will involve changes in machine design and rising maintenance costs."

"I think, I'll fool all the big players first. As long as they invested enough, they wouldn't be able to get off the pirate ship when they found out that they could not get off the pirate ship. The cost of sunk was too high to bear it. And as long as they could start production on a large scale, they would be able to kill Songjiangbu immediately. They wouldn't have to worry about not being able to make money. If they could make money, we would fool them to upgrade." Lishan's tycoon gestured like a profiteer,

"I hope as you said, I think those big players are not easy to fool, otherwise Hainan has been so many years, and private factories are still mechanized." Zou Biao said helplessly. At the beginning, the machine promotion was still half-supported, which was equivalent to the bidding of local big players in Hainan, but after being promoted for a long time, it was the same as a snail crawler. Until now, most private enterprises are still handicrafts and use machines in a small number.

"I want the horse to run away and don't give it to the grass. Can people be willing? The machine is expensive and they can't get the core. It's strange if they can be willing!" Li Shan was really convinced: when he came here, he saw that the spindle of the mule machine was sold for 2 Australian dollars, so he would buy it! This is like using the technology of building a rocket engine to build a gas stove. The market cannot accept it at all, and he doesn't know who proposed to make such a machine. This time, after he and Zou Biao studied it together, various technologies were downgraded and the parts were wooded and compressed a set of machines to one-third of the original cost. As for the price, it would be better to sell it. Find a way to fool the big players to buy the machine first. As long as they buy the machine, the subsequent maintenance consumables will be a purchase, and various types of training can be made.

"Our complete set of hydraulic spinning equipment will lose money by selling it at the cost." Zou Biao felt a little sad.

"It's also the business of the Planning Institute. We just need to sell the machine so that the factory can run."

The next morning, Wu Yijun and his group prepared to set off to visit the factory. The place they were going to was the Textile Industrial Park in Lingao.

The park is located in the southern mountainous area of Linggao, and the place is very remote. You must first take the city rail to Nanbao Town, and then transfer to a carriage.

The reason why I chose to be in the south of the county was mainly because I was close to the Li District. I could obtain a large amount of kapok, grass cotton and hemp resources in the mountainous areas nearby. It could also radiate to the Li District and absorb employment for the people. The south of the county also had abundant water resources and inferior coal that could be used to burn boilers - these were all necessary for textile enterprises.

The group, led by Chen Xiaobing, took the city railway at Boshop and arrived in Nanbao at noon. They had lunch in Nanbao. At this time, someone came to report that the carriage from the demonstration textile factory was already waiting in the town.

No longer delays now, we get on the bus and set off immediately. The textile factory sent a Dongfeng official carriage, which is elegant and solemn, and comfortable inside. These people are the first time they have ridden this kind of carriage that has only been seen in pictures in the past, which is very fresh. Chen Lin is somewhat young and has a look around and said, "Cousin! Why not buy one in Guangzhou, which is both grand and comfortable. Wouldn't it be nice to use it to pick up and drop off guests? It's much more generous than the one at home!"

Wu Yijun laughed: "How can I afford this carriage? The one-year expenses of these two horses alone can be as high as a dozen people! Not to mention that this carriage cannot run in Guangzhou. With so many bridges on the road, how can this carriage go?"
