Chapter VIII The Seven Dharma Meetings of the Buddha

No matter what other people's eyes were, Luo Fan had already stepped up the steps and gradually walked away and entered the gate of Guanglong Temple.

The reason why Luo Fan chose to come to Guanglong Temple today was because the next day was the first day of the eighth lunar month, and the seven Buddhist Dharma Assembly of Guanglong Temple had long agreed with Master Wunian.

The Buddhist Seven Dharma Assembly in Guanglong Temple has been a long-standing origin and is also called "Buddha Seven".

It is to set up a temple to do Buddhist rituals in a cycle of seven days. If you recite Amitabha Buddha, it is called chanting Buddha's seven. If you recite Amitabha Bodhisattva, it is called Guanyin seven. If you sit in meditation, it is called Zen seven. In addition, there are also lectures such as Shurangama Seven, Great Compassion Seven, etc., which can be collectively called Buddha's seven.

Ting is a dialect and the meaning of making.

Fighting means to cure, which means to eliminate habits, problems, and karma, and to force cure one's own delusions and obsessions.

To get seven is to eliminate our delusions, replace thousands of delusions with the pure thoughts of Namo Amitabha Buddha, and to use the four false bodies to correct the pure and free Dharma God.

Most temples do this French style on this day, and Guanglong Temple is the most famous and solemn.

Luo Fan was familiar with the road and walked to the outside of the abbot's Zen room behind. The monk at the door bowed to Luo Fan, "Sir, just go in by yourself, the abbot is waiting for you!"

Luo Fan nodded, reached out and pushed open the door of the Zen room. He saw Master Wunian inside. There was a Taoist priest with fairy spirit and Taoism sitting next to him, talking and drinking tea with Feng Bugui.

"Mr. Luo, you are finally here, come and sit down!" Master Wunian immediately smiled when he saw that it was Luo Fan. There was no such thing as a solemn appearance when he talked to Shen Mingkun, and he looked like he had seen an old friend.

"Senior Brother Wunian, please call Mr. Luo and try it!" Luo Fan sat down and joked.

"Junior Brother Luo, come in and sit down!" the Taoist priest greeted happily.

"Senior Brother Qing!" Luo Fan bowed.

"Don't be polite, come and sit down!" Wu Nian said with a smile.

Judging from the appearance of the few people, they were obviously very familiar.

Speaking of the origin of Luo Fan and Master Wunian of Guanglong Temple, we can also trace it back to Luo Qian and Wunian's master, the abbot of Guanglong Temple at that time.

Luo Qian and Wunian's master Master Yuanshi are close friends. They traveled around in their early years and experienced life and death.

Later, something happened to my old friend and took Feng Bugui in, so fewer people came. Later, after picking up Luo Fan, more people came.

Although he picked up the door plaque of Wushi Pavilion and returned to the mountain village to live, because Feng Bugui was old and wanted to gain a foothold in Jiangcheng, he lived in Guanglong Temple most of his time. Luo Fan spent almost all his days before he was ten years old in Guanglong Temple.

He is as familiar with this place as his own, especially Wunian.

At that time, Luo Qian and Yuanshi played chess as soon as they met, and they ignored nothing. Wunian had to take care of Luo Fan instead.

The monks in the temple like Luo Fan very much. They stuffed whatever they found into his arms. Even if they made delicious food and drinks in the kitchen, the first chopsticks almost entered Luo Fan's mouth.

So many people spoiled him, which caused Luo Fan's lawless temper. There was nothing he didn't know about in every corner of Guanglong Temple.

Anyone who has hidden something good in the Zen room will have nothing he can't find.

Therefore, when he turned out the lotus seeds in the treasured Buddha's in the Zen Room of Wunian and boiled the lotus seed soup, Luo Fan later took one step, and Wunian was one step ahead, for fear that he would take out some treasures in the temple again.

It is true that Luo Fan was a child who was well-behaved and cute and adorable since childhood, but the most important thing is that a young man is born with a good memory.

He started to speak, and Luo Qian asked him to recite the "Book of Changes". When he grew up, he recognized the words, and Kaimeng was the "Burial Sutra".

In Guanglong Temple, if you have listened to the obscure Sanskrit scriptures, you can recite them in a very good way with the monks who do morning classes the second time.

Some monks who are not smart enough are often beaten by their masters with Luo Fan.

Therefore, despite Luo Fan's earth-shaking riots in the temple, he still won everyone's favorite.

As he grew older and Luo Qian's teachings from time to time, Luo Fan's mood gradually calmed down. When he was thirteen years old, he seemed to have suddenly become enlightened, and his style of conduct had a calm temperament that was beyond the reach of the world.

Yuanshi nodded, "This boy is extraordinary! His future is promising!"

Luo Qian smiled and shook his head, "It's a long way to go!"

When Feng Bugui had already made his mark in Jiangcheng, with the care of Guanglong Temple, Luo Qian took Luo Fan to travel around and increase his knowledge. It was not until he returned to Jiangcheng five years ago when he responded to his old friend Mu Bingtian's father's affection.

Speaking of Qing Dynasty, he is now the head of Maoshan. This time he came to Guanglong Temple. In addition to Maoshan’s support for the Guanglong Temple Dharma Assembly, the most important thing is to see Wunian, a former friend who has been around for many years.

There will be Taoist priests present at the Guanglong Temple Dharma Assembly, and many people will be surprised.

In the past, laymen said that the two mortal enemies of Buddhism and Taoism were actually spreading rumors.

Many of the gods worshipped by Taoism and Buddhism are the same, but they are called differently.

Just like the Buddhist Guanyin Bodhisattva, he is called Cihang Master or Cihang True Man in Taoism. Taishang Laojun is the ancestor of Taoism. His twelve disciples have all become Buddhas, which shows that since ancient times, Buddhism and Taoism have not been separated.

Therefore, it is really normal for Leqing to appear in Guanglong Temple.

The master of Liao Qing was considered to have a close relationship with Luo Qian back then, saying that it was a brother and not a brother. There is also legend that Luo Qian gave up the position of Maoshan and gave it to Master Liao Qing, which was later confirmed to be a rumor.

In short, if Luo Qian and the others don’t say it himself, no one can figure out what the relationship between them is.

Even Luo Fan didn't know, but he knew that every time Luo Qian took him to Maoshan, Maoshan would open the mountain gate and all the Taoists came out to greet him. In that scene, those who didn't know why important people came.

Although Luo Fan is not as free and easy in Maoshan as in Guanglong Temple, he is also a lateral existence.

It’s not that he was very knowledgeable at that time, but because of his high generation. Except for the three senior brothers of the Qing Dynasty who called him junior brothers, everyone else was one or two generations short of him, and some were more than just a few.

At the beginning, Luo Fan thought that the business his master was engaged in was related to the temples and Taoist temples. Later, he realized that this was not the case, especially after learning about the existence of Wushi Pavilion.

There are many Feng Shui masters outside, and people on Maoshan are not despised and do not bother to see them.

And the pure land of Buddhism will not care about the right and wrong in the mortal world.

As long as there is no evil sorcerer, or if the Feng Shui master with incorrect minds kills him, the people on Maoshan will basically not pay much attention to it.

Therefore, there are so many people outside who are cheating under various banners.

Several people talked about the past, and it was late at night before they knew it. Because the Dharma Assembly started early in the morning the next day, several people said goodbye and asked Wunian to rest earlier.

Early the next morning, it was only five o'clock, Luo Fan and Feng Bugui got up and changed into Taoist robes, with Taoist robes without any pattern marks. The ones that were worn by Le Qing were real Taoist robes, and there were Bagua diagrams in front and behind.

After changing his clothes, Luo Fan combed his long hair into a bun. Looking coldly, he was a young and handsome little Taoist priest who looked like a fairy.

After breakfast, a monk came over to take the two of them to the front hall.

Along the way, there were believers who were taken forward by monks from different directions. Luo Fan seemed to have seen Shen Mingkun.

But there were too many people, so I didn't look there.

Everyone was taken to the gate of the main hall by the monks and stopped. Many of the first time attending were curious why they didn't go in, so they looked around.

When I saw this, I saw a monk leading two Taoist priests to come over.

Some of them whispered to ask if anyone knew each other, but they all got a negative answer. Only Shen Mingkun had a storm in his heart.

He saw that when he arrived at the entrance of the hall, everyone else stayed outside, but the monk took Luo Fan into the hall, and then it was the turn of the people outside to walk inside.

Who is this Luo Fan?

Even those who seem to have a lot of identities are not qualified to enter the hall first, but Luo Fan went in first!

Looking at his outfit, I really can't guess what his identity is for a while.

When Shen Mingkun and Bai Xiaozi followed the crowd into the solemn hall that had been arranged, they saw Luo Fan standing in front, next to the abbot!

And these people can only stand at the end.

In the hall, Luo Fan and Lao Qing stood next to Master Wunian. On the left row were the abbots who came to watch the ceremony in other temples and Taoist temples, and on the right were senior believers and some important figures. There were a few who seemed to be quite not simple in their identities.

But without exception, they were curious and surprised by Luo Fan's young face.

In front of the golden statue of the Buddha wearing colorful clothes and lowered his eyes, there was a row of altars with incense burners on it to offer fruits. There were various objects from left to right in a lower place.

These objects were specially brought over to consecrate. Luo Fan glanced at the altar. He asked Feng Bugui to place almost all the incense burners in the middle, while the others were placed on both sides.

As the bronze bell sounded outside, the monk wearing a cassock walked in from both sides, holding a wooden fish in his hands, chanting the Buddha's name, stood in front of the cushion in front of the Buddha statue, placed the wooden fish in front of the cushion, and sat down after performing three bows and nine kowtows.

Wu Nian walked to the Buddha, first kowtowed and bowed, then lit three incense sticks, toasted incense, and burned incense. After a series of etiquettes were completed, he walked to a huge wooden fish next to him and rang the first sound.

Next, it's Qing.

The third person shocked Shen Mingkun, who was watching the ceremony behind, and the third person who came forward to burn incense was Luo Fan.

Seeing Luo Fan's meticulous actions, burning incense and burning incense, his mind was blank.

Who is this Luo Fan?

Why did he conduct ritual procedures after the abbot at such a large Dharma Assembly in Guanglong Temple?

Looking at the people from other temples and Taoist temples standing on the left, they didn't seem surprised. Obviously, many people know Luo Fan's identity.

Suddenly, Shen Mingkun felt a strong fear. He seemed to be unable to afford Luo Fan.

The believers and great figures on the right were already surprised by Luo Fan's appearance, and now they were even more shocked.

No one asked out loud, but he just recited the Buddha's name with the sound of the wooden fish and watched the ceremony quietly.

Luo Fan's actions were like the Qing Dynasty, which was a great gift from Taoism to show respect for Buddhism.

When Luo Fan finished, it was the monks and Taoists on the left, and finally the people on the right.

There is no need to burn incense in these two rows, just give a big gift.

After all the guests' etiquette procedures were completed, it was finally the turn of the believers standing behind who were not qualified to come forward.

Everyone can only hold their hands behind and recite the Buddha's name silently and bow down.

After everyone was finished, Master Wunian stopped the wooden fish, rang the bowl beside him, and let out a "ding" sound. The monk sitting on the cushion in front immediately began to sing the Buddha's name.

The ups and downs and the murky sounds made all believers uncontrollably follow their tone to officially kick off the Dharma Assembly.

With Luo Fan's eyes, he could see that the scent of incense, candles, smoke and the sound of the Buddha's chant were intertwined in the air, slowly surrounding the Buddha's golden statue.

The small objects in front of the Buddha statue began to form aura one by one. In Luo Fan's ears, the "buzz!buzz!" sound formed by the magic weapon never stopped.

In his eyes, he saw these auras constantly forming, one after another, fast and slow. These objects that were lit will become magical instruments in the future.

As long as Luo Fan and others complete the ritual procedure in advance and recite the Buddha's name for about twenty minutes, even if the first step of the Dharma Assembly is completed, there will be no work for them. The monks in the hall will continue to lead the believers behind them to complete the next seven-day Dharma Assembly.

Wu Nian knocked on the bowl again and took the lead out of the main hall, followed by Qing and Luo Fan, and behind them were people from both sides and left and right, and walked out of the main hall in turn.
