Chapter 3

It is definitely not a happy thing to be scolded by someone for no reason. When Xu Jin returned home, she was still angry, afraid that her mother would see it, so she ran to the backyard to see the apricot tree.

Xu Jin has loved eating apricots since he was a child.

It is said that when she was four years old, my father took her to the streets and happened to be a country woman selling apricots. The small wooden car was filled with orange round fruits, and the tempting aroma of fruit could be smelled from afar.

Seeing that she was so greedy that her eyes looked there, my father took her over to buy it. As a result, she thought her father bought too little and insisted on buying the whole vehicle home.

My father instigated her and asked the woman to push the car to the door of her house, and distributed some to her neighbors, leaving the rest for her. Then he specially moved two apricot trees to plant them on the wall of her backyard.

Every year when the apricot is ripe, my father would bring up old things again when he picked apricots with her, and joke about it.

When she was a child, Xu Jin was often blushed by her father's words. Now that she is a little older, she will smile and rely on her father to deceive others.

This year, the apricots are about to ripen again, and the gratifying yellow is almost spread throughout the fruit.

Xu Jin was in a much better mood and became serious. Then he had a good dream at night, dreaming that his father was back.

When she woke up the next day, she went to see the apricot tree again, but found that there were obviously fewer fruits near the wall!

Because the apricot fruits are darker in color, Xu Jin thought to eat them first, so I remember them very clearly.

She ran to ask her mother: "Mom, did you ask someone to pick apricot?"

The Xu family knew that the two apricot trees were her treasures. Except for the instructions of the three of them, the servants would not take the initiative to touch them.

Jiang was watering the flowers without even raising his head: "No, what's wrong?"

Xu Jin casually fiddled with the rose petals with water droplets, and pouted, "I found that there were a few fewer fruits, so someone must have been stolen."

Jiang couldn't help laughing. The beautiful face in the morning light was even better than the newly opened pink rose. "There are so many fruits on the tree, so it's hard for you to see that there are a few missing."

He was teasing and obviously did not take his daughter's innocent words seriously.

"Okay, wash your hands and have dinner with your mother."

"Oh..." Xu Jin knew that her mother still treated her as a child, so she did not explain much. She followed her mother to the side hall obediently, only thinking in her heart.

It wasn't what my mother asked me to pick it, was it the servant?

No, Xu Jin believes that his family members, and the older ones cannot offend his master because of greed for a moment. The youngest ones are the only pearls beside her. They keep wandering in front of her and have no chance to steal... Who else can there be besides her family?

There are no greedy children who steal from this street.

After thinking about it, the most questionable one is Qi Jing.

Qi Jing would definitely not greed for her apricot, but he knew that she valued the two apricot trees, maybe she wanted to anger her?
