Standing on tiptoes, she kissed the side of Shade's face. The girl with purple eyes clasped her hands behind her back, smiled and took a few steps back to stand in front of the window in the morning light:

Shade emphasized again, waving to Mia, and the orange cat quickly jumped from the table to his palm, and then moved along his arm to his shoulder.
