"Beautiful Colors in Rivers and Mountains" shows Mo Da's ability to control long-form novels!
I haven't read online novels for a long time, and after counting, it's only 3 or 4 years. I haven't missed a single online classic novel. Although Xiao Buyi's path has not been completed, compared with those completed classics, I think "The Beauty of Jiangshan" can be side by side at the same height.
Here, I have to mention Mo Da’s ability to control novels.
First of all, Mo Da is indeed unique in designing the characters. Each main character who appears is given a full personality. Like Pei Mingcui's appearance design, Miss Pei's character and wisdom reflected in the development of the novel, he has to be impressed by the author's intention in character design. From the beginning of his appearance, I once thought that Miss Pei's fate would be like many stallion novels, like that of many stallion novels, she appeared and had conflicts with the protagonist, and the protagonist acted like a rogue. Then, for various reasons, she was conquered by the protagonist's domineering spirit, thus becoming Xiao Buyi's first woman (no way
Method, because the name of this book is too easy for people to think about it), however, the development of the story is far from my imagination. The scenes between Miss Pei and Xiao Buyi came to an end after Mayi. In the scattered appearance of Miss Pei, Mo Da was given more flesh and blood and connotation. Her life was not closely linked to the protagonist, but was tied to Li Yuanba and Yang Guang, and she embarked on a path that did not have much intersection with the protagonist. I don’t know how Miss Pei’s ending will be designed by Mo Da, but I think Miss Pei’s appearance will live this "Jiangshan".
Secondly, what I really appreciate Mo Da is that many characters who appear are not marginalized and will reappear in the later chapters, and they are all related to the content of the novel, at least they are not too long characters. Like Mengdie, when I saw this woman appear, I subconsciously thought that this woman's fate would soon become Xiao Buyi's woman (because many beautiful singers in time travel novels quickly became the woman of the male protagonist), and the result was much more than I expected. In the story of Mayi, Mengdie did not become
For Xiao Buyi, even her communication with Xiao Buyi did not take up much space, and she was quickly sent to the palace. Here, I basically think that her story is over, at most, only one day will Xiao Buyi see her again and include her in the harem. However, in the future, Zhang Xutuo killed Xiao Buyi, and Mengdie came to tell her. Although there were not many descriptions, she had portrayed this woman as full. So far, I think that Mengdie's description only occupies a very small amount of space, but it is enough to highlight the image of this character.
I have read some books. Some of the female characters in them only take up a lot of scenes at the beginning. When they arrived, they basically didn't appear much or appeared. They were just mentioned. They were similar to a supporting actor, making people feel that her existence has nothing to do with the story. Handling the appearance of a character well and creating a full character is an important ability to control long stories. In this regard, I think Mo Da is really at ease.
What I admire in Mo Da is that in terms of plot connection, Mo Da has always handled it well, and there is no disconnection or complexity of the plot. The plot is linked together, creating suspense, foreshadowing and response, which is rare! The plot of controlling the moonlight is closely linked to the plot of the first time to go to the grassland. When I saw it, I once thought that the story of Xiao Buyi and the grassland should have basically ended. However, so far, after many chapters, Xiao Buyi stepped into the grassland again, and it has a great relationship with the first time to go to the grassland. In so many chapters at present, I personally think that each chapter is not an independent chapter. It is connected with the entire "The Beauty of the River and the Mountain", which is integrated, making people feel that if it is separated from any chapter, the whole story cannot be connected. Here, the skill is really exquisite, and it really demonstrates Mo Da's power to control the long story, one word, praise!
The novel has not been finished yet, and I will review it so quickly, which is a bit out of place. However, I really hope that Mo Duo has to put in the effort to write the book well, especially the ending, because I have seen too many masterpieces with a sharp ending, including "Zhu Xian", and I really hope that "Jiangshan Beauty" will not have a disappointing and insulting ending.
This is my first post at Qidian. I hope everyone can correct and communicate more!
Chapter completed!
