Chapter 1869 Northeast Rice

Li Zhongxin always understood in his heart that the taste and cultivation characteristics of Japanese rice are very similar to some rice in my country.

The reason why in later generations, many Chinese people thought that Japanese rice was delicious was mainly because it was Japanese rice that formulated a complete marketing plan for the taste and consumption capacity of Chinese people. The exported rice was suitable for the Chinese taste in the area where they were sold. Naturally, those who ate Japanese rice thought Japanese rice were delicious.

In fact, this is not difficult to understand. For example, rice in the Northeast is relatively high-quality, and Japanese rice has no advantage in the Northeast, so Japanese rice is rarely or almost no sales in the Northeast.

Many people in China don’t know what the Northeast rice is. In the Northeast, most people grow grain! They grow those high-yield round-grain rice. The yield of this rice is high and does not require much time management. This kind of rice is the ordinary rice sold on the market.

But better rice is different. From seedling cultivation to seedling planting, it takes many processes. It is relatively troublesome to plant, and field management also takes a lot of time.

The yield of this kind of rice is not very high, and it is several points lower than that of the round-grained rice.

If the rice yield rate of round-grain rice is 72%, then the rice yield rate of better long-grain rice is about 65%, and it is even lower.

The reason why there are few people who grow rice well in the Northeast is because of the geographical environment and geographical location of the Northeast.

The Northeast is in the northeast of China and the transportation is very disappointing. It takes a lot of shipping costs to transport rice from the Northeast.

But round-grained rice is different. Professional warehouses can be purchased and transported goods in a unified manner, because most of these warehouses are state-owned warehouses, so there is no problem in doing it.

Another problem is that the good rice in the Northeast is generally not available in Shanhaiguan. Large batches of rice are sold all over the country. However, have the common people eaten these good rice?

The answer is contrary to expectations. In addition to the most common round-grain rice in China, the other rice eaten by the Northeast, except for the most common round-grain rice, the other rice eaten is severely adulterated rice, and a bag of ten kilograms of rice. A more conscientious merchants can also put 10% of the good rice, which is about one kilogram of good rice. The other rice is the long-grained southern one, and the aroma is not as good as rice. Therefore, people eat it and feel that the rice in the Northeast is just like that.

Li Zhongxin remembers a cold joke from later generations that people all over the country eat Northeast rice and Wuchang rice.

Northeast Wuchang Rice was famous nationwide in later generations, but people don’t know that the Wuchang Rice is actually planted in a small area. The rice produced is indeed delicious and explosive, but this kind of rice is not circulated. Not to mention ordinary people, even some rich people cannot buy it.

Those who advertise that they buy Wuchang rice or specialize in selling Wuchang rice may not be real rice.

Wuchang is a county town under Harbin City. The annual output is not high, with only about 400,000 tons of rice to more than 600,000 rice. However, the annual sales volume of Wuchang rice in China is 60 million tons. Therefore, people can understand what the Wuchang rice that everyone eats.

The most important thing is that the rice in Wuchang County is called Wuchang rice. Among them, the truly delicious rice is what we call high-quality rice! It only accounts for about 40% of it, and even this standard cannot be met.

What’s the reason? The rice grown in all places in Wuchang is delicious, because it depends on what water it is watered.

Four major rivers originating from the Lalin River, the Sui Niu River, the Xilang River, and the Ashi River, which originate from the western foot of Zhang Guangcai Ridge, run through the entire Wuchang territory.

Because the forest vegetation coverage rate in the water source is more than 70%, there is no industrial pollution along the way, the water quality is excellent, and the water body is rich in minerals, so it provides good natural conditions for rice production in Wuchang City.

The water quality of the river is sweet and the essential mineral content of the human body is rich in water. It meets the national first-class mineral water drinking standards and is an important production guarantee for green and organic food.

However, because the terrain is different, it creates a different microclimate, and the soil is different, and the water used for irrigation is different. The rice planted is different across a river.

Locals all know that rice near Zhang Guangcai Ling is the best, but there is only a small area, and there are several other special places where rice is delicious, but most people don’t know it and can’t buy it.

In fact, in the Northeast, if you go to the rice factory and watch the processing of rice, you may not be able to get intact and high-quality rice.

It is precisely for this reason that Li Zhongxin has always believed that as long as the rice on the black soil is delicious, the key is the variety and quality of the rice. The issue of adulteration or not adulteration is also the most critical point.

The black soil in the northeast is a unique treasure given to mankind by nature. It is a soil with good traits and high fertility, which is very suitable for plant growth.

There are only four large black soil areas in the world, namely the Ukrainian Plain in Ukraine, the Mississippi Plain in the United States, the Northeast Plain in China, and the Pampas Grassland in South America connected to Uruguay.

Black soil is one of the categories of soil, with high fertility and good traits, and is a relatively ideal soil type in agriculture. Its formation is mainly directly related to climatic factors (terrain, parent material, microorganisms, time, etc.).

However, due to the low temperature and small evaporation, the soil moisture (surface water) content is higher, which is conducive to the growth of plants (deciduous broad-leaved forests). Deciduous leaves, dead branches, and even trees withered due to weak microbial decomposition, day after day, year after year, precipitation gradually forms black soil.

It is understood that the formation cycle of black soil is very long. It takes at least 400 years to form a black soil layer of about 1 cm thick. It is the most precious and non-renewable soil resource.

Here on Fujin! It is the Sanjiang Plain, which is alluvialized by the Heilongjiang, Ussuri River and Songhua River. The land is between 45°01′ and 48°27′56 north latitude, and belongs to the temperate monsoon climate, and is at the same latitude as the most famous rice-producing land in Japan.
