698. Village Bus

A lot of garbage was piled up behind the farm building. Qin Shiou and Duoduo carried the little bullies and let the garbage trucks come in to clean up.

The little bullies stretched their heads and kicked their legs and looked dissatisfied, and they still had to go down and continue to show their courage. Qin Shiou smiled and gave them one by one to break their minds, letting them sit on the grass honestly, and began to teach them the first lesson in life.

The person driving the garbage truck was a middle-aged white man in his sixties. When he was about to leave, Mao Weilong said: "Johnp, I will have a beer barbecue party tonight. Do you have time? Can you come and participate together?"

The middle-aged white man smiled and said, "Of course, man, of course, everyone loves beer and barbecue. Even if I don't have time, I will take time."

When the white man Johnp left, Mao Weilong explained to Qin Shiou: "This is my neighbor to the south. Everyone in the town calls him Old John. He is very enthusiastic. He has the only garbage truck in the town, so he will help deal with the garbage regularly. These days, he helps with the garbage here, so he doesn't have any money."

"Damn, have you met Canadian Lei Feng?" Qin Shiou said in surprise.

Although he was doing so well in saying goodbye to the town, in fact, when he first arrived at the island, the townspeople were friendly to him, but they would not help him with work for free, because Canadians advocated equal pay. If you don’t pay others, why do they help you?

Mao Weilong smiled and said, "He usually deals with garbage for a fee. I am a new customer. He said he would give me some discounts and help clean up the garbage in the first half of the month."

"Of course. I didn't ask him to help in vain. I gave him some good tea and domestic specialties a few days ago, so he was so enthusiastic." Mao Weilong added.

In the afternoon, Liu Shuyan was going to Hamilton Supermarket to replenish the supplies needed for the party in the evening. Mao Weilong called and invited people he met after coming to the town. He also welcomed them to bring friends to the dinner.

It costs a lot of money to start a farm and buy a house. Mao Weilong has never bought a car. In the past, the farmer had an old pickup truck, so he used that car to charge the number.

As a result, the old pickup truck didn't give him face. It happened to be broken in the morning, so Liu Shuyan had to take the bus to Hamilton. She definitely couldn't carry it alone. Qin Shiou asked Duoduo to accompany the little bullies for fun, so he went to help.

"Why would you borrow a car?" Qin Shiou asked, "You should have a good relationship with that Johnp, right?"

Liu Shuyan smiled bitterly and said, "Johnp doesn't have a car suitable for us to drive. He is just a garbage truck except for agricultural vehicles. Sometimes he drives out in the garbage truck if he does anything in Hamilton."

Qin Shiou was solemn and respected, "Damn, why are you so *, old man?"

Speaking of neighborhood relations, Liu Shuyan was a little helpless and said, "We are just aware of our neighbors now. We don't have much friendship yet, so it's hard to borrow a car."

This is true that Canadians have a lot of feelings for their cars. Because except for the city center, almost all parts of the country are sparsely populated and they cannot do without cars when traveling. In addition, what if something happens if something happens to borrow a car? The Canadian traffic police are not in the right way to the driver's license, and they will find the owner if something happens to the car.

There was no way, so I had to take the bus.

The reason why I chose to take a bus instead of a taxi is also a feature of Canada. Even in remote towns, there are their own bus companies, but there are few taxis.

The reason for this is that private cars have become a necessity for every family life in Canada, as common as dishes and chopsticks. Except in big cities, taxis are basically reservation services and the prices are very high.

Liu Shuyan said that in their town, the taxi costs that passengers have to bear are equivalent to the round trip and the return cost, and the return cost must be counted on the passengers. It is because the townships in Canada are vast and sparsely populated, and taxi drivers cannot attract customers on the return trip.

Qin Shiou took his handbag and followed Liu Shuyan to the street outside the farm. The street was very wide and straight, but there was almost no one. Instead, Qin Shiou saw two reindeer trotting through the road during that time.

The two of them stood under a wooden sign at the intersection of the street. Qin Shiou took the first trip to a township bus in Canada. He was still very curious. He looked at the number '0505' on the wooden sign and asked curiously: "Why does this have a number? Shouldn't it have a station name?"

"No, there is no stop name for township buses. This is different from in China. They all use the station number on the sign." Liu Shuyan explained patiently.

Qin Shiou said in surprise: "No, what should I do if I report to the station? Passengers will recite the numbers of these stations?"

"No, the driver signed up for the station."

Mao Weilong had long had no fantasies about the old pickup truck. He bought a bus ticket before to deal with possible emergencies, so he used it today.

The bus tickets in Hamilton are relatively expensive, with adults worth 3.5 Canadian dollars each, and 20% off for ten tickets at one time, and 50% off for students. Liu Shuyan explained that it is usually available at the counters of supermarkets, pharmacies and convenience stores.

Canada's municipal construction is very developed, and this is ranked high in the world. The reflection of the bus is that although there are not many people on a bus, the number of trips is not reduced.

Liu Shuyan came to wait for the bus at the junction. Within a few minutes after she and Qin Shiou arrived at the station sign, an orange bus drove over.

Compared with domestic and large urban buses, urban buses are characterized by small size, only the size of domestic minibuses, and they use cheaper natural gas fuel, with the purpose of reducing transportation pressure.

There are only sixteen seats in this minibus, but the seats are relatively large and comfortable, which can be regarded as a way for passengers to earn back the high ticket price.

Qin Shiou found a seat to sit down and smiled and said, "No, it's still a soft seat."

Liu Shuyan smiled and said, "This is a car from the 'Zodiac Bus Company'. The tickets for their family are more expensive, but they are more comfortable. The main target is tourists. Many people like to take their cars to visit the townships."

The car started, and only half of the sixteen seats were sitting along the way. Qin Shiou looked at the wheat fields, orchards and pastures outside with great enthusiasm, and felt that everything was fresh.

The minibus only drove into Hamilton, not to the Walmart supermarket they were going to, so they had to transfer cars.

Qin Shiou wanted to take a taxi, but after entering the city, there were more taxis. Liu Shuyan smiled and said, "We have a light rail station ahead of us, so we should take the light rail? It's faster than a taxi to go directly to Walmart."
