025. Snot curse
Professor Fox's first class was very effective.
At least, at the end of class, Lynn saw the little wizards with smiles on his face.
Lynn also got extra points in this class as he wished.
Because he is the first young wizard among the two academys to successfully release the light of the wand.
Wednesday's course is relatively easy. Apart from the morning's black magic defense class, there is only the evening's astronomical class. There is a lot of spare time in between, and the little wizards can control themselves.
Instead of spending this free time in the library as usual, Lynn came to the lawn by the Black Lake with the textbook "Black Magic: Self-Defense Guide" from the Black Lake.
It's still class time, and there is no one here.
Lynn opened the textbook and wore one of his only two titles: a new rookie.
Although this title is not good, it feels extremely useful and can triple the learning efficiency of basic spells, allowing Lynn to quickly learn and use the lower grades to teach many spells.
It's just not suitable for use in crowded places, especially in Slytherin common room.
Although the atmosphere in the Snake House seems to be pretty good now, people's hearts are unpredictable.
Who knows whether those friendships are true or superficial illusions?
Lynn doesn't want to test other people's attitude towards him. Even if he just shows kindness, it's better than breaking up his face.
So he specially found a place where there were no people, put on this title, and practiced magic alone.
Only this visible progress can make Lynn feel a little more at ease in a not-so-safe place in the magic world.
The title works great.
After wearing it, Lynn suddenly felt that his mind became extremely active, and his brain had never been more powerful in controlling the body.
He looked at the curse recorded in the textbook: the snot curse, a curse that can keep the person hit from snot flowing.
He has basically no attack power, but he is disgusting enough.
According to the description in the book, Lynn waved his wand and whispered a spell to a frog by the lake: "Mucus ad Nauseam."
However, everything happens.
But Lynn was not discouraged at all, because the moment he recited the spell, he felt that his casting was not possible.
The mind was telling him that his swaying staff should be faster, and the pronunciation of the spell was not accurate enough.
So, Lynn used the snot curse again at the frog that he had become a test subject:
“Mucus ad Nauseam.”
A dazzling green beam shot out from Lynn's wand, accurately hitting the frog that was staring blankly on the shore.
Suddenly, the frog was startled, croaked, jumped into the lake for a few moments.
Lynn laughed silently, it was obvious that his spell was successful. The frog did not have runny nose because it did not have the function of runny nose. If the spell hit the person just now, it would have the effect it should have.
Before lunch, Lynn stayed next to the Black Lake practicing various spells. The feeling of constantly enriching himself is very addictive.
In just half a morning, he learned three curses: snot curse, repulsion curse and smoke screen curse recorded in the textbook.
These spells are not powerful magic, but they will have unexpected effects in some specific situations.
...
There is no food in the UK.
Lynn actually agrees with this sentence, but in Europe, there is strong communication between countries, and the cultural barriers are quite vague, which are particularly prominent in the food.
The salted fish in the UK is not delicious, but the French cuisine tastes very good.
Lynn likes the craftsmanship of the house elves in Hogwarts, and the lunch tastes very much to his taste.
Just as he was having lunch, Chief Betty sat down next to him.
"Hi, Lynn, are you free in the afternoon? Professor Snape needs someone to help with some potion materials. Other students of other ages have classes in the afternoon."
Lynn shook his head: "Sorry, I had an appointment with someone in the afternoon."
Betty frowned slightly.
"Can I take the liberty to ask who it is?"
"Professor Fox." Lynn had no intention of hiding it. He probably would have to borrow books from the library's banned book area under Professor Fox's name in the future. The relationship between the two must be hidden.
Betty patted Lynn on the shoulder and signaled him to look at him. She stared into Lynn's eyes with a very serious tone.
"Remember what I said at the school dinner? Adrien Fox is a very dangerous person and I don't recommend you get too close to him."
"Of course I remember."
Lynn had almost eaten at this time, so he picked up the napkin and wiped his mouth:
"Thank you for your concern. I will keep your advice in my heart. I will be careful when I get along with Professor Fox. Goodbye."
Betty looked at Lynn who was away, clenched her fists and vented the table. She could see that Lynn didn't listen to her words at all.
Lin En really didn't care much about the words of the senior lady. She has seen a lot of online rumors in her previous life. Normal people will have their own basis for judgment when it comes to things and will not be influenced by others' words.
As for now, Lynn still feels that Professor Fox is not like what they said, the kind of perverted murderer who is unforgivable.
In the afternoon, Lynn knocked on the door of Professor Fox's office.
"Come in, Lynn." Professor Fox's voice came from inside, and Lynn pushed the door and walked in.
The office is not big, but it is cleaned up very neatly, which is completely incompatible with the identity of Fox, an older single old man.
Lynn walked to his desk and saw Professor Fox seemingly doing lesson plans for his senior year courses.
"Do whatever you want. I just moved into this office not long ago. I don't have any afternoon snacks to entertain you."
Lynn found a chair to sit down, and looked at a mural hanging on the wall curiously.
It was a knight holding a spear, and the war horse under the knight was glaring at Lin Neng's nostrils.
"Have you adapted to living in Hogwarts these days?"
Professor Fox asked with a smile, putting his quill down, crossed his hands on the table.
Lin En pinched his cheeks sadly: "Hogwarts' food is so good, I feel like I've gained a lot of weight."
Professor Fox was amused by his words, and at the same time, two tea cups jumped out of the cupboard beside them and ran to both of them.
The teapot on the table suddenly rose up in the air, floated to the tea cup in front of Lynn and filled him with black tea.
Professor Fox looked at Lynn seriously.
"You have been exposed to magic for a few days, and you probably heard about me from your classmates. So Lynn, are you still willing to accept my investment in you?"
