Chapter 4 Setting up a stall for fortune telling

The fourth thing is that this apprentice who left his body and part of his memory. Under Gongsun He's teaching since childhood, he has been able to read and make words. In terms of fortune-telling, he has been carefully taught by the old man. The fortune-telling he learned happened to be the plum blossom Yi numbers that Yi Xingchen is good at, that is, the plum heart Yi. However, the knowledge about fortune-telling in these memories is far less than that of Yi Xingchen learned from books in modern society.

In modern online society, there are many books and materials such as fortune-telling. As long as you want to learn, it will naturally be much more convenient than those of the Ming Dynasty with information blocked, and the knowledge you learned can't be compared with the Ming Dynasty.

However, in modern society, Yi Xingchen learns fortune-telling purely because of his interest and hobbies. He certainly would not think about being a Feng Shui master for fortune-telling in the future, but instead study hard to find a job in college. Now, he has to use fortune-telling as a hobby to make a living. He couldn't help but smile bitterly.

Just as Yi Xingchen was thinking about everything, the two neighbors had already invited the doctor.

Huang was a tall middle-aged man wearing a long gown. After coming, he looked surprised. It was obvious that he had heard from the neighbors that Yi Xingchen had come back from the dead. He had never really seen such a thing before. He went up to look at Yi Xingchen carefully, grabbed his hand and took a pulse, looked through his eyelids, asked him some questions, and looked at his tongue. Finally, he came to a conclusion that Yi Xingchen had indeed survived, and his physical illness had disappeared.

Gongsun He was very happy. He thanked Dr. Huang and sent him out of the yard himself.

When he arrived at the door, Doctor Huang did not leave, but just looked at him with a smile.

Gongsun He woke up and should pay the medical fee. He quickly reached out and took out the purse from his pocket, pinched it, and pulled it open, poured it out, and it was less than ten cents.

He took out five points of it, handed it to the old doctor, and laughed and said, "Sorry, this little money is left. My disciple just came back from life. Today is Zhonghe Festival again. If you want to buy him some food for the holiday, you can only give you so much. I'm really sorry."

Doctor Huang took the five cents, shook his head with a bitter smile, and left with his hands behind his back.

Gongsun He turned around and returned to the yard, thanked the neighbors who came to help, and sent them out one by one with their smiling faces.

These neighbors were talking about it, thinking that it was really strange that people could encounter such a rare thing as a return to life. And they appeared at the fortune teller's house. It seemed that Mr. Gongsun, who was telling fortune, was still capable.

Hearing them discussing this, Gongsun He felt secretly happy. If this matter could increase his popularity, it would be of great help to his fortune-telling in the future. Perhaps it would make his business better and make his disciples live a little better.

After seeing off the neighbors, the yard became quiet.

Gongsun He quickly took off the white paper banner hanging from the door, tore off the yellow paper he had drawn on the door, kneaded it into a ball, stuffed it into the kitchen stove.

He looked up at the sky and it was already noon.

He was originally planning to be buried at noon and carried away to the burial, but he looked at the thin fir coffin placed in a corner of the yard, which was intended for burial of his disciples. The coffin cannot be returned. Even if the person is resurrected and the coffin cannot be used, it cannot be returned to the coffin shop.

He could only leave it and see if anyone wanted it, and sold it at a cheap price. If no one wanted it, he would have to use it as firewood. Although this was the lowest-end coffin, it also cost him a lot of money. He said that his disciple and he had died after more than ten years of life. He gave him at least a coffin to be buried. Then he gritted his teeth, borrowed a loan shark and bought this thin fir coffin. Unexpectedly, he couldn't use it.

Of course, it is best not to use it. If a disciple survives, it is better than anything else.

He returned to the house and saw Yi Xingchen still lying on the bed, staring at the ceiling stupidly, not knowing what he was thinking, so he pulled a stool and sat next to him, saying, "Are you hungry? I'll cook."

Yi Xingchen was lying on the bed just now. He remembered that he would never see his parents, relatives and friends again, and he couldn't help feeling very sad.

After feeling sad for a while, he felt confused about the future in ancient times. His academic performance was actually good. Although he offended the class teacher recently, to be fair, with his grades, it should be fine to get an undergraduate degree. If he is lucky, he might be able to go to the heavy-term. He also hopes to go to a good university, find a good job, marry a good wife, and be filial to his parents in the future, but now everything is ruined.

Not only did my ideal life become a bubble, but I also had to stay in this ancient world where I could not surf the Internet, watch movies, TV, play basketball, or play football, and I didn’t even have electricity. I could only rest at sunrise and sunset. What’s the matter if I survived by telling fortunes to others?

If I had known that God had allowed me to travel through time, I would at least have to bring some high-tech things over and transform history into a hero. But now I have nothing and can do anything. Apart from the useless knowledge of the exam, it would be really sad.

He felt sad, depressed, and depressed. It was not until Gongsun He walked in that he tried to restore his peace. He had to accept this fact.

When he heard Gongsun He say he wanted to cook, the apprentice's memory in his head made him know that his master Gongsun He's words were simply a joke, because they were poor and basically had no overnight food. The money they earned from fortune telling that day was barely enough to buy what they had for the day. If they didn't tell fortunes for a day, they had no food and had to borrow from their neighbors.

The two days after the apprentice died of illness, the master had been busy with funerals and had not gone out to tell fortunes. He had been borrowing rice to live for the past two days, so there was no surplus grain at home. Now the master actually said he wanted to get something to eat, obviously comforting him, and he must be planning to borrow some rice from his neighbors to cook. But those memories told him that the neighbors were not rich, and they were almost as poor as them, and they had no food to him, so how could he lend him surplus grain?

So Yi Xingchen sat up and said to Gongsun He: "Master, I'm fine. Let's go to the street to set up a stall first. Only after making money can we come back to celebrate the festival."

In fact, Gongsun He was not sure about what he said just now. He was thinking about whom to borrow some rice to cook and to replenish his disciples who had just survived, but he borrowed all the neighbors. Although the neighbors came to help with funerals, they really had to borrow money to borrow rice, which was another matter. They were all poor people, so who would have surplus grain to lend him! Some of the more overwhelming neighbors quickly closed the door when they saw him coming.

He was worried about what to do about this matter, but his apprentice stood up very sensible and said that he was fine and said he wanted to go to the street to set up a stall to make money. He couldn't help but feel moved and stood up and said, "Gua'er, are you really okay? Otherwise, you can rest at home and the master will go to the street to set up a stall. After earning money, we will celebrate the festival."

Yi Xingchen shook his head and said, "I'm fine, I'll go to set up a stall together. I'm fine if I lie at home."

So, with those memories, Yi Xingchen carried a wooden box for setting up a stall on his back, and carried a pair of white cloth signboard banners carrying bamboo poles on his shoulders, and put two long benches together and carried them on his shoulders. His master Gongsun He took a gourd containing water and followed him out.

When the two left the yard, Gongsun He locked the door. In fact, their family was barely barely, and even if they didn't lock the door, there was nothing to steal.

The two walked along the alley called "Tianshui Hutong" for a while, and then came to the street, and put down their loads in an open space next to the entrance of the alley.

This is where their masters and disciples come to set up a hexagram stall every day. According to those memories, Yi Xingchen tied the bamboo pole with the hanging banner written on the foot of a long bench. The white cloth sign banner fluttered in the wind, making a clamor. The banner reads seven big characters "Plum Blossoms Yi Qu Gongsun He" and a small line below, which says "A sincere heart will be spiritual, and each hexagram will be five texts."

Yi Xingchen placed another bench sideways, which was for the guests to sit on.
