1244 Taiwan in memory

When it comes to Taiwan Island in the mid-19th century, you cannot bypass a person. He is Shen Baozhen, the Minister of Shipbuilding, who had just fainted from fright.

In real history, when Japan's Meiji Restoration began to implement overseas expansion plans, their first step was to eat Ryukyu, abolish Ryukyu's destiny, and make Ryukyu a complete county in Japan.

Immediately afterwards, they looked at Nantou and focused on the fat piece of Taiwan, which led to the subsequent Mudan Society incident. The Japanese government began to plan to send troops on the excuse of the fishermen of two Ryukyu fishing boats being killed by the Takayama tribe in Taiwan, and the general who led the troops was Takayama Takayama's younger brother, Saigo Congdao.

Speaking of the Mudan Society incident in 1871, there are indeed many historical secrets. At that time, Japanese militants had two different strategic plans for the direction of the war.

One is the famous theory of conquest for the Korean War, which everyone knows very well, that is, to use South Korea as a springboard to attack the opposite mainland. Another strategic plan has a slightly fewer supporters, that is, the theory of conquest for the Taiwan War supported by the Xixiang brothers and the Kyushu forces.

These two strategic directions are actually a split within Japanese militarism, and even caused a century-old conflict between the Japanese army and the navy from these two arguments. Even the later 226 mutiny was a continuation of this ideological conflict.

Should we follow the national policy of invading the mainland, or learn from the British to carry out overseas colonization? This is a very serious problem, which involves the direction of the entire Japanese nation and the investment of countless resources.

Facts have proved that in this world, no country can be completely independent of the world, and the national policies of any country cannot be unavailable from external forces.

In the collision of these two thoughts, the European powers represented by Britain firmly supported Japan's theory of conquering Korea, because Britain has been a country with maritime interests since ancient times, and naturally had to restrict mainland powers. The more powerful the mainland powers, the more they would make the other side chaotic.

In Europe, the war between French-Popularization was initiated, in the south where North America supported the civil war, and even encouraged Mexico and the United States to get into evil. Not to mention curbing Tsarist Russia, Britain could join forces with France to send the army to fight to a decisive battle, which shows how strong the British are to be wary of the mainland power.

The same is true for dealing with Asia. The Qing Dynasty could not be too powerful. Wars often occurred, including civil wars, were in line with the interests of the British.

In fact, the same is true in the 21st century that Xiao Letian traveled through time. European civilization hoped that China would have a civil war. The more fierce the fight, the better. The more chaotic other regions, the more beneficial it is to its own economy.

In fact, it is not necessarily that you want to invade China's land. Sometimes you mess up, but that you just want to force out China's capital, into a safe haven, and under their wings.

At that time, Britain supported the theory of Korea's conquest, and even supported Japan during the Sino-Japanese War of 1894-1895. This was due to the deep-seated strategic considerations of the great power, which really had nothing to do with morality.

However, the two Congdao brothers of Saigo actually sang opposite the British and actually proposed a theory of going south to seek Taiwan! They also planned the Peony Club incident and were about to start to take action, which made the British very unhappy.

At that time, the British had become increasingly influential in East Asia. They could not allow Japan to fully develop a national policy facing the ocean. The golden waterway on the high seas should be the British's private land, and no one can think of getting a piece of the pie.

The furious Britain ordered that all companies and individuals not be allowed to provide ship services to Japanese soldiers who went south, and no matter how high the price was, a ship was not allowed to be rented to Saigo Congdao.

At the same time, the UK also mobilized many Japanese politicians to start working in Saigo, hoping that he could give up that unrealistic plan.

At that time, Saigo Congdo only recruited 3,600 soldiers, and there was no more than two armed merchant ships bought by the shogunate at high prices.

The Saigo army was stationed in Nagasaki and was about to set off, but it was found that none of the Westerners rented him a boat. Even Japanese Ozuka Shigeshinobu chased him behind his butt every day and persuaded him to give up.

The Westerners did not lend him a boat, and the Japanese private ships could not sail far-season. In addition, the Meiji government also disagreed with his plan, so it was difficult for Saigo to follow the road.

Just when everyone thought that Saigo would retreat in the face of difficulties, the unique crazy spirit of Japanese samurai was once again showing its power. Saigo suddenly announced that "stop sending troops will affect morale. If the government forcibly stop sending troops, I am willing to return the emperor's full-powered appointment letter and directly attack Shengfan's nest as a thief, and will never affect the country!"

This is enough. If your country does not agree to my war, I will immediately leave the army sequence, take these more than 3,000 soldiers as pirates, and occupy Taiwan as pirates.

There is no record in history, so Xiao Letian still hasn't figured out how more than 3,600 soldiers were stuffed into two armed merchant ships, but it wouldn't be possible if he didn't believe it. In history, the three thousand soldiers brought by Xixiang came to Taiwan just like this.

This incident is known in history as the "Sigo riot"!

The Mudan Club incident occurred in 1871, and the Saigo sent troops in May after Japan established the Taiwan Governor's Office in April 1874. What is even more incredible is that from the establishment of the Taiwan Governor's Office in Japan and the establishment of the Taiwan Response Army until the sound of artillery sounded in Taiwan, no one in the Qing court knew that this happened.

In the end, the British Minister Witoma took the initiative to contact the Qing government and told them not to be dazed. Taiwan was blown up by the Japanese. The Japanese had already landed and built a castle in Guishan. Why are you still indifferent?

Weituoma really looked up to these people. The Qing government did not pretend to be calm and indifferent, but they had no idea what was going on in Taiwan at all.

"Master! What do you think of, Master?" Xiao Letian, immersed in the memories, was awakened by Zai Chun.

"Oh? Ah! Nothing...I'm thinking, if someone secretly takes over the Taiwan Island now, or if other countries secretly invade this place, would you say that the Forbidden City know about it?"

"Ah?" Zai Chun was stunned. "How is this possible?"

Xiang Ying sneered at the side and said, "How is it impossible? The people of Taiwan and Fujian are prohibited from private exchanges. If the people want to cross the sea, they must obtain the consent of the government. There is no telegram line in the strait, and there is no fixed message transmission mechanism..."

"The more terrible ones are corrupt officials who are not in the mood to do practical things. They are thinking about being a one-day and spending a few days. As long as they earn money, they don't care what's going on behind the band..."
