Chapter 224 Target: Srinagar (Chapter 3 ends)

The morning's air battle ended, Pakistan lost two Tomcat fighters, one F-16, while its opponents, the Soviet Air Force and the Indian Air Force, suffered heavy losses.↑

All MiG 29s that the Indian Air Force had just equipped were shot down, and eleven MiG 21 were shot down. Over Afghanistan, three MiG 31s were shot down, fifteen MiG 29s, and four MiG 22 were shot down.

The Soviet Union suffered more losses than India, mainly because they had the support of early warning aircraft, and the flight skills of Soviet pilots far exceeded those of the Indian Air Force.

Although Pakistan also suffered losses, compared with the Soviet Union, Pakistan suffered losses of slimness.

"We must suspend military operations over Afghanistan!" Andropov was very dissatisfied when he heard such a result: "This is simply embarrassing our Soviet Air Force. Is this the combat effectiveness of our Soviet Air Force?"

"Report to the General Secretary, we are not facing the Pakistan Air Force, but the US Air Force. Pakistan has received all the US military aid, and their weapons are the most advanced weapons of the United States. In particular, we did not expect that they actually own the US e-3 early warning aircraft." Marshal Ustinov said.

Originally, in this large-scale aircraft raid, the opponent's e-2 early warning aircraft could not command it at all. Moreover, the e-2's early warning capability was limited and it had to fly over Afghanistan. They planned to use the MiG31 to shoot down these early warning aircraft to create an advantage for their side.

Who would have thought that the American e-3 early warning aircraft! The best-performing early warning aircraft even surpassed the A-50 that had just been in service. During this early warning, the A-50 exposed many shortcomings, the airborne equipment was unreliable, and the communication lines were easily interfered with.

"Half of our country's expenses are spent on the army, and they are not as good as American equipment." Andropov said coldly.

Andropov has been committed to reform, and all of this requires money. Now Andropov is keenly discovering that the huge army is actually the culprit of the Soviet economy. He is even thinking about ending the war in Afghanistan and cutting some of the army, so that the Soviet giant can get a chance to breathe.

But it is definitely not now! If the Soviet Union had always had the advantage and ended the Afghan war, this was reasonable and would not be ashamed of being in front of the world. Now, if you lose the war and then withdraw, it would be even more embarrassing.

"General Secretary, our fighter jet development is lagging behind the United States. Because we want to completely surpass the American fighter jets in the development of new fighter jets. Now, the latest fighter jets from our Sukhoi Design Bureau are about to be finalized. We only need to wait a few more months to wait until this new fighter jet is put into service and form combat effectiveness. We can completely defeat all American fighter jets head-on!" Marshal Ustinov said.

The development of t-10 is coming to an end. A large number of problems exposed during the test flight are being addressed by the Sukhoi Design Bureau. The Soviet Union has a strong military industry. As long as this type of aircraft is finalized, it will be produced in large quantities and delivered to the troops soon.

The Soviet military was full of expectations for this kind of aircraft.

"We have to win completely in the next air battle," Andropov said. "This is our only chance."

Marshal Ustinov knew what the General Secretary meant. The Soviet Union had lost face and could not lose it again. Even if Pakistan was allowed to be rampant for a while, he had to accumulate enough strength and use a complete victory to justify the combat effectiveness of the Soviet army.

Islamabad.

From the Peshawar base on the front line, Mhamad hurriedly returned to meet Zia Hak and a large number of military leaders at the Presidential Palace.

The atmosphere in the office was extremely tense, and Mhamad knew that the president had finally made up his mind.

"This is the best opportunity," said Zia Hak. "The Indians are a cancer on our backs. Whenever the Soviets come to attack, the Indians will follow us to make trouble. Now, it is time for us to teach Indians a lesson that will last a lifetime!"

This is an opportunity, an absolute good opportunity. Pakistan has been fully prepared. According to Mhamad's tactics, he has trained secretly for several months, especially the first C-130 military aircraft and Black Hawk helicopters that flew first, which have been simulated repeatedly at airports in central Pakistan.

Airborne the Srinagar Air Force Base and capture the Kashmir Valley!

This war showed that the Indians were a dog from the Soviet Union and would jump out and bite people at any time. Pakistan launched a counterattack, which was very reasonable.

Everyone was full of excitement on their faces. Although Lieutenant General Mirza Aslam Berg did not agree with Mhamad's tactics, after the president had made a decision, he did not object anymore, but did what he should do. This is discipline, obedience, and absolute obedience.

"Our focus this time is to completely kill the Indian troops at the Srinagar Army Base, let them meet their great gods in their sleep, and at the same time, to completely bomb the Srinagar Air Base, except for the runway, let them see the rest of the air defense facilities." Zia Hak said: "Now, I announce."

All the generals stood up and waited for the president to give orders.

"Mhamad Kamaran was promoted to general, deputy chief of staff of the army, and commanded this military operation with full authority!" Ziyahak said: "Sakorda Air Force Base is ready for bombing, and the transport aircraft group is ready to take off at any time. Lieutenant General Mirza leads the Third Army to recover the Kashmir Valley of our Muslim compatriots! The First Army, be good at supporting and guard against the Indian counterattack! The operation code is Genghis Khan!"

"Yes." Everyone replied in unison.

Mhamad was shocked. Last time, Zia Hak had promised him the deputy chief of staff of the army, but he didn't care at that time. After coming back for a few months, Zia Hak seemed to have forgotten about this, and Mhamad threw it behind his head. Now Zia Hak has taken his rank as an admiral! In the Pakistani army, the number of admirals can be counted with one hand, and now, Mhamad is the only admiral in his twenties.

Lieutenant General Mirza was fifty years old and participated in several wars before he could only survive.

Mirza looked at Mhamad with a little envious look, and some... she returned to normal later.

A large-scale invasion battle requires a lot of preparation. For this battle, Pakistan has been preparing for several months, and gradually expanded from the previous Mhamad's idea to become a fully prepared military operation.

Sagoda Air Force Base.

The twenty A-7 attack aircraft that we continued to order last time have been in place. The current Sargoda Air Force Base has forty A-7 attack aircraft.

Now, all attack aircraft are undergoing final inspections before takeoff, and this night bombing is even more of a test for them.

Under the wings, heavy bombs were hung. As the first wave of attack forces, they would bomb the Srinagar Army Base.

The runway of the Srinagar base is arranged from northwest to southeast. The two main runways, the northwest part of the runway, is a large-scale hangar area, with the command tower at the end of the runway, and in the northeast of the runway, is a large-scale army camp.

There were several air defense missile launch positions, but the Pakistan Air Force, which has won the No-fly zone victory, will not allow such threats to appear on the ground. After several attacks, the Sam-3 air defense missile no longer exists. The current Srinagar Air Force Base is the meat on the plate of the Pakistan Air Force.

Although there were several firefights in the air, the ground was still quiet. Pakistan's advantage lies in the air. Before the Indian army planned a large-scale land attack, their army remained in the military camp. This is Pakistan's best opportunity!

The A-7 attack aircraft will do its best to attack India's army bases, while the F-16 fighter aircraft will be mainly responsible for bombing the air base's hangars and possible air defense firepower everywhere to cover the landing of its own transport aircraft.

The Tomcat War Opportunity faithfully protects the sky. Once the Indians are unwilling to fail and send out air force forces, they will be shot down ruthlessly.

Everything was going on in a tense and orderly manner. At Rawalpindi Airport, the C-130 transport plane was also undergoing the final inspection before takeoff. They would carry the army soldiers and enter the war zone directly.

The first one to land will be the advance team carried by the Black Hawk helicopter. They will control the towers and positions everywhere, and protect the safety of the runway.

The Blackhawk helicopter is an excellent helicopter. After being introduced from the United States, it quickly replaced the Skylark helicopter. Its excellent performance made Pakistan want to continue ordering a batch.

Everything is already on the string.

Srinagar Base.

As the base of the Kashmir Valley, it is at the forefront of the confrontation with Pakistan.

At the beginning, because of the competition for Kashmir, the two countries fought hard. As a result, Pakistan occupied 40% of Kashmir's area, most of which were high mountains and very barren, while India occupied the most fertile and beautiful Kashmir Valley.

In order to protect this place, India has arranged a large number of troops. After taking off, the fighter planes here can directly support the battle on the front line. This is one of India's most proud military bases.

Unfortunately, that was a year ago.

When this place became a no-fly zone in Pakistan, the Indians' self-esteem was completely defeated. The Indians had several times the air force of Pakistan, but they were repeatedly defeated. Just during the day, India dispatched a large number of air forces again. They were all watching on the ground and watching the battle in the sky. As a result, what fell were all their own planes! They dispatched several rescue troops to rescue the parachuting pilots, including Indians and Soviets. (To be continued, please search for astronomy, the novel is better, updated and faster!
