In modern warfare, electronic support has become a "special assault style" that emphasizes firepower strikes. The United States is a pioneer in this regard. Since 1971, the ea-6b "Prowler" fighter jets have been used by the US Navy to suppress the enemy's electronic activities and obtain tactical electronic intelligence in the war zone to support attack aircraft and ground forces. In history, in the Gulf War, four electronic fighters, e-130h "Call Compass", ea-6b, e-111a "raven" and -4g "wild weasel", formed a joint formation to suppress the guidance, aiming system and communication command and control system of ground air defense at close range, and completed the mission excellently and became famous in one battle.

In the battle against the Soviets in the past few years, in order to maintain their own electronic warfare capabilities, the Pakistani military fought hard with the US imperialists under the promotion of Mahamud, the Air Force commander at the time, and obtained several valuable e-130h with gold payments. Later, multiple aircraft of the Pakistani Air Force cooperated with drills and many battles against the Soviet and Indian troops, which played a huge role!

The Pakistan Air Force was very satisfied with this. Unfortunately, the honeymoon ended very quickly. The US imperial side was vigilant and even hostile to Pakistan because the Soviet army withdrew from Afghanistan and Pakistan's aircraft carrier formation was also forming combat effectiveness. The Navy urgently needed a carrier-based electronic fighter jet like the EA-6b "Prowler", and the Air Force also needed it. Pakistan's own mature fuselage is only one of Tomcats. In later generations, it has been a trend to use carrier-based fighter jets to modify electronic fighter jets. For example, the US Navy used the -18 fighter jet and modified the e-18g electronic fighter jet. In this way, after several comparisons, Pakistan chose the fuselage of its own Tomcat fighter jets and tried to improve it into an electronic fighter jet.

The -14, based on the 111 fuselage, is large enough and has a strong load capacity. Although it is needed in the era of EA-6b, four crew members are needed, but with the continuous progress of the electronic system, two people are now qualified. The two-seater fighter, such as the -14, is convenient for one person to fight, and the other can carry out electronic warfare missions. As a heavy fighter, the -14 has a good foundation and has great improvement potential. In addition, it has all weapon systems and excellent maneuverability, which can effectively protect itself from attacks by enemy fighters, and has a long range to facilitate long-term air stagnation to perform electronic warfare missions. While performing electronic suppression tasks, it can also carry the Strokesnake missile for self-defense and carry the Hamm anti-radiation missile to strike the enemy's radar system.

This modification has been launched since 1989. As a derivative model of the -14, the e-14 "Roaring Cat" has the same maneuverability as the former and has the same combat capability as the -14, so it is fully qualified to be the electronic support mission with the team. The e-14 can mount and deploy a variety of weapons. These include the pl, r, aim series air-to-air missiles and the yj, kh, and agm series anti-radiation precision strike weapons. Although the e-14 does not have a built-in machine cannon, it has considerable air combat capabilities, which are not only sufficient to defend itself, but can even perform escort missions.

This is a versatile fighter. Since it comes from the body of the -14, it can be ejected and taken off the aircraft carrier and accompanied by its own fighter jets to electronically suppress during offensive operations.

We work with Huaxia to automatically track their launch frequency by analyzing the frequency hopping map of the jamming object, and use long baseline interference measurement to position the radiation source more accurately to achieve tracking-targeted interference." In order to improve the anti-interference ability, the main method now is frequency hopping. Every few seconds of operation, it jumps to a frequency band with the weakest interference according to the degree of interference. The previous interference method was high-power interference in the entire frequency band. This is the same as carpet bombing. Although the effect is significant, the interference energy required is quite large.

Now, this new interference method jointly developed by Pakistan and China greatly concentrates interference energy and realizes "precise strike" in the electromagnetic spectrum field for the first time. Therefore, although the interference range of e-130h is only more than 100 kilometers, the power of the jammer is less than that of its jammer, which can effectively interfere with radar and other electronic facilities 250 kilometers away, exceeding the strike range of any active air defense firepower.

"Our electronic warplane also has a new tactical receiver installed at the fork. The interference pod in the middle of the fuselage still does not hinder the electronic monitoring function when the enemy is interfered with the full frequency band." Asus continued: "In this way, our roaring cat has complete electromagnetic attack capabilities, electronic monitoring capabilities and communication and confrontation capabilities."

Generally speaking, when performing electronic suppression, a communication channel is left for one side to allow one side to communicate without being disturbed. However, when the enemy is disturbed, electronic monitoring cannot be carried out. Now, this electronic warplane in Pakistan can also monitor while interfering. This technology in this area is already at the world's advanced level, and is even on the same starting line as the United States.

Mhamad nodded: "This electronic warplane must be tested as soon as possible. After it is finalized, first equip our navy."

However, this was a long process. Pakistan lacked technical reserves and the project progressed slowly. So, in this case, Pakistan signed a contract with the Soviet Union and imported a batch of about twenty al-37 engines and four al-37u engines.

The price the Soviet Union wanted was very high. After repeated bargaining, it took half a year to reach the deal.

The deal was certainly because the Soviets were short of money and needed more funds during the reform, but also because the new fighter jets planned by the Soviets adopted more advanced engines, and the al-37 engine was just a transition.

Pakistan, after obtaining this batch of engines, it tried to install it on its own Tomcat fighter. The engine size is similar to that of the 110, and the control system has been changed to digital. In this way, after more than a year of hard work, the task of modifying the Tomcat was finally completed.

Pakistan will not rely on this engine as future power. By dismantling one or two of them and mastering the Soviets' ideas will be of great help to Pakistan to increase the power of 110. Although the vector nozzle of the al-37u is even more unreliable, it can be used for Pakistan to study and use. Now, studying these technologies first will always mature. After all, fighter jets in later generations must have vector nozzles!
