Chapter Four(1/2)
The boy turned his head to look at her, and after a while, he smiled strangely.
His eyes drooped and he saw the two buns in her hand. When Chen Nian saw them, he handed the plastic bag to him: "Will you eat?"
He frowned, not hiding the disgust on his face.
The small white plastic bag is wrinkled, and the inner layer is covered with mist and water droplets, greasy and embarrassing.
When Chen Nian saw it, her face turned red, she withdrew her hand and said, "It's cold."
Not delicious anymore.
He walked a few steps and asked, "You'll eat this tonight?"
Chen Nian nodded.
A few seconds later, he said, "Are you deaf?"
Chen Nian realized that he didn't see her nodding, so he said "hmm", without any end, and didn't know whether to answer dinner or deaf.
He stopped, frowned unhappily, looked at her for a while, and then she looked up and looked back quietly and purely. He couldn't tell the truth, probably speechless, and continued to move forward without saying a word.
Chen Nian walked slowly and did not chase after him. When he reached the intersection, he stopped and had already walked half of the zebra crossing. Chen Nian didn't need to cross the road and was about to turn and go home. He wanted to say hello but felt that it was not necessary.
There will be no intersection anymore, just split up like this, she thought.
The boy threw his coat on his shoulders, walked to the middle of the road, and turned around.
Chen Nian stood straight and quietly on the curb, looking at him like a sapling. His spacious school uniform T-shirt was covered with a thin body, and he couldn't help but feel weak.
He narrowed his eyes in the sunset.
She pointed to her left and signaled that her home was in that direction.
He pointed his thumb behind him and signaled her to come and go with him in that direction.
Chen Nian's hands drooped, and the bunch held the school uniform jacket, looking at him from a distance and stopped moving.
The afterglow of the sunset, people come and cars come.
He didn't care and walked straight to the opposite side of the road. After looking at it, Chen Nian walked over with the crowd.
He hummed himself, pulled the corners of his mouth, walked forward in his pocket with both hands, and arrived at the entrance of a small restaurant. He pulled down a plastic stool at the open-air dining table, and took a cigarette out to smoke.
After a while, Chen Nian walked up to him and stood by and looked at him.
He also looked up at her. Her face was white and small, her hair was neatly combed, and a few strands of hair appeared, fluffy in the sunset, golden.
He felt like a snail, talking, walking, and doing slowly. Even if anyone poked her, her tentacles slowly shrank back.
A few seconds later, he waved and signaled her to sit down.
"What do you want to eat?"
“Everything is OK.”
“Order food.”
Chen Nian shook his head and pushed the menu to him. He said it was a menu, but it was just a piece of greasy plastic paper. He took a look and ordered three dishes at will.
Chen Nian looked down at the plastic film and the oil on the film covered on the table, and the whistle and vocals on the road were in his ears.
The sun was about to set, and the last ray of sunshine shone on Chen Nian's face in the evening, red.
She couldn't open her eyes.
He put the cigarette on the edge of a disposable cup filled with cheap tea, knocked it, and asked, "How many grades are you in?"
Chen Nian raised her eyelids, and the sunset shone on her eyelashes. She couldn't see his face clearly, so she compared her fingers to a "three".
"The third year of junior high school?" he asked, rarely a little cunning.
Chen Nian knew he did it on purpose, but still shook his head: "Gao...san."
"You look very young, like a child." He glanced at her, his eyes could penetrate his clothes and see underneath, and said lightly, "Undevelopment."
Outside the school courtyard wall, there was also the street, and Chen Nian didn't pay attention.
He stared at her, stood up, his eyes unchanged, and a deep fold emerged from his eyelids, finally moved away, kicked the chair and left.
Chen Nian followed.
Nothing to say along the way.
He walked slanted in front, and she followed her in a regular manner. From time to time, he pretended to look back at her unintentionally, making sure she followed her.
She walked slowly, and he had to wait. Once he turned around, looked at her for a few seconds, spit out the chewing gum in her mouth and wrapped it with paper, raised his wrist and smashed it towards her head. Chen Nian was shocked, and the paper ball passed by her ear and smashed into the trash can behind her, and a "bang" sounded.
Chen Nian: “…”
Boys really like to play this trick of throwing objects from a distance.
He turned around and left, Chen Nian rubbed his neck with a bitter face behind him. As soon as he was scared, he accidentally swallowed the chewing gum he was chewing into his stomach.
When I walked to the alley near my home, it was different and it was getting dark.
He glanced at the alley and turned around and asked, "Are you scared?"
Chen Nian looked up at him, his eyes were clear, his eyebrows were frowning, and his expression showed everything.
He said, "Let's go."
He walked to the front with his pocket and heard the sound of gentle footsteps behind him, and he pulled the corners of his lips coldly.
After walking a few steps, he accidentally took out a candy from his pocket and handed it to her.
Chen Nian shook his head.
He still didn't force it and put it back in his pocket.
When I arrived at the door of my house, there was an old-style building, dark and dark. The long staircase leading to the second floor was open-air. Chen Nian pointed to the attic on the second floor, meaning that she lived there.
He stuffed a cigarette into his mouth and turned and left.
Chen Niancai stepped onto the steps and heard a sound: "Ketano."
Chen Nian turned around and his long straight hair tied behind his head was like a black silk skirt, twisting and closing.
He might as well see the smoke in his mouth swayed lightly and took it down.
"My name is Kitano." He said, "remember."
He walked towards her, thin but tall, with a wall of temperament; Chen Nian looked up at him, stepped back unconsciously, accidentally hit the stairs, and sat on the stairs. Chen Nian gently hugged his knees.
He walked up to her, squatted down, his eyes level with her, and said, "Ignore."
"Read...what do you think?"
"My name."
"Ni...Kanoye..." She stared at his fair face in the night and stuttered.
He shook his head very lightly.
Chen Nian knew what he meant, rubbed his hands and said hard: "Bei..." and opened his mouth again, "...Bei..."
"Read with me," he said, "North."
"……north."
"wild."
"……wild."
"Kano."
"..." Chen Nian's eyes were as dark as grapes, looking at him.
"..." He was not impatient at all, like teaching a babbling child, "Bei."
"north."
"wild."
"wild."
"Kano." He said.
"..." Chen Nian tried it, spoke, but in the end he still didn't speak out.
He didn't say anything, just looked at her, not sure whether to wait or compete.
Chen Nian's lips moved: "Bei, Ye." He still looked at him silently, so she prepared for a while and said: "Kei Ye."
"Okay." He said, "Read ten times."
Chen Nian looked at him.
"Think of it."
"Ketano." Chen Niannian said in a slight voice, "Ketano, Kitano, Kitano, Kitano..."
She shut up and the two of them looked at each other. She sat on the steps that emitted heat, and the crickets in the grass were shouting.
He pinned the cigarette in her white ears and rubbed the edges of her ears with his fingertips. The delicate skin that touched was instantly red and hot. He said, "Continue."
To be continued...
