Chapter 136: Poor Davis(1/2)

FDA headquarters building.

There has been an atmosphere of fear here recently. Everyone entering and exiting the building will consciously move very lightly and dare not speak loudly, as if they are afraid of attracting the attention of some terrifying entity.

Chief Davis's temper has become increasingly grumpy since he sprained his foot while running last time.

His roar was often heard in the office on the top floor, as were the sounds of desks and chairs hitting the walls and cups being thrown.

His patience with his subordinates has also become worse and worse, and he often angrily scolds his subordinates for minor problems.

The female secretary was a little trembling when she saw him. She had already made several mistakes and been scolded this morning alone.

These errors include but are not limited to spelling errors in an email, putting an extra sugar cube in the coffee, documents not being placed in their original positions after being moved, and knocking on the door a little louder, etc.

At this moment, Davis was leaning on his chair, his face so gloomy that water could drip from his face.

Ever since the last time the doctor suggested taking leave to go to China for medical treatment, he felt suffocated in his heart.

When the sale of Sanqing painkillers was banned, he never expected that he would be slapped in the face so quickly.

Moreover, the most annoying thing is that the ban on sales was not his intention at all.

He is shooting himself in the foot for someone else.

The anger in my heart became more and more intense along with the pain in my body.

But they can’t do anything about Sanqing, let alone revoke the ban on sales.

I had no choice but to vent my anger and scold my subordinates.

He now takes several painkillers every day to slightly relieve the pain and maintain normal work.

After I got home, I didn't dare to eat more, so I had to resist.

I would often roll around in bed and whine in pain, unable to fall asleep for a long time.

It was a hellish day.

But there was nothing he could do. In order to prevent addiction, he did not dare to take heavy opioid painkillers.

I can only take two tablets of tramadol a day to relieve pain, but I dare not take it for a long time because taking too much will have serious side effects.

"Damn pharmaceutical companies, Pfizer, Roche, Bayer, a bunch of incompetent waste, why can't they develop non-addictive painkillers?"

"It's all their fault that I'm in such pain now!"

Davis cursed in his heart, feeling the dull pain in his knees and feeling extremely furious.

After scolding these pharmaceutical giants, he picked up the pile of documents on the table and began to review them.

One after another, I read quickly, talking to myself as I read.

"Idiot, this drug has no improvement or innovation at all. There is no need for research and development at all. It is a waste of money and life. The clinical research application must be rejected!"

"What the hell, asking for an extension of the patent exclusivity period is simply unreasonable!"

"Asshole, after the launch of the Phase IV clinical trial, serious adverse reactions were found in patients. Key data must have been concealed."

"Hey, there is a website selling illegal prescription drugs. This is too much and must be severely punished!"

"In addition to these websites, international mail agencies receive many illegal drugs in the mail. This is a list of drugs seized and detained by the FDA's Office of Criminal Investigation and is expected to be destroyed in a week."

Davis pulled out the list of illegal drugs seized by the FDA and looked down one by one.

These are unapproved, counterfeit and potentially dangerous drugs, mostly illegal opioids.

Suddenly, his eyes froze and he stared at the column on the list.

Sanqing painkillers 200 boxes!

His heart was beating violently, and a strong desire surged out of him.

An idea flashed through my mind, startling myself.

"No, no, how could I think that? It must be the damn devil tempting me."

He shook his head, suddenly became sober, and completely killed that damn tempting thought.

His eyes reluctantly moved away from that name, and it took him a while to read the entire list.

But the whole person has become a little distracted and absent-minded.

His hands were trembling violently, and he wanted to put down the list in his hands, but his hands seemed to be coated with glue and stuck to the list firmly.

He struggled fiercely in his heart. After a while, he sighed and murmured to himself.

"I'll just take a look, it should be fine."

He reopened the list and found the item about Sanqing Painkillers at first glance.

The quantity, location and time seized are marked in detail above.

And the storage room inside the FDA, down to the drawer numbers.

Davis's breathing became heavier, and he almost subconsciously memorized this series of numbers.

Then he stuffed the list back into the folder like a thief.

My heart was beating hard and it took a while to calm down.

A feeling of tension and excitement filled his whole body, and even the swelling and pain in his knees could not be noticed.

"No, no, the painkillers I'm taking now are fine. I must stop having such dangerous thoughts."

Davis wailed inwardly and walked around the office to calm his inner restlessness.

After finally calming down, he hurried out of the office and went home early.

He really didn't dare to stay any longer, for fear that he would make a mistake if he acted impulsively.

However, that night, when he was lying on the bed, enduring severe pain in his knees.

The drawer was coded over and over again, flashing before my eyes like a movie scene.

He finally couldn't bear it anymore, cursed fiercely, got up in a hurry and went out.

"I didn't want to either. It's all because these bastards forced me to do it!"

After a while, he drove to the FDA headquarters building. It was dark and suitable for his actions.

With my authority, I quickly found the internal storage room of the Criminal Investigation Office and rummaged through it with my mobile phone flashlight on.

Finally he found the familiar drawer, and when he opened it, what appeared in front of him was the painkiller he had been dreaming of.

A powerful, non-addictive painkiller.

Sanqing pain reliever!

He greedily looked at the drawer full of painkillers, and his mouth almost drooled.

After only thinking for three seconds, he decisively picked up the painkillers and put them in his pocket.

One box after another, it was filled up quickly.

He didn't take any more, simply sorted out the medicines in the drawer, then turned and left.

When I got home, I opened a box of painkillers with excitement.

One pill, half a glass of water, drink it.

After a while, I felt the pain in my knee disappear.

I got up and walked a few steps, and it didn't hurt at all.

"Amazing! It's amazing! No wonder they banned sales."

Davis screamed in his heart, closed his eyes in pain, and shed a tear.

"O God, forgive me my sins."

"I'm so pitiful. My ex went to jail for backroom dealing. At least he gained money."

"As for me, I actually robbed myself for a painkiller, and I won't be able to save it at night."

"I should be the most pitiful director in the history of the FDA."

"My predecessors held great power and took over pharmaceutical companies, but I secretly stole confiscated illegal drugs in the middle of the night for a painkiller."

His physical pain disappeared, but he began to suffer from mental pain again.

However, I spent half the night going back and forth to get medicine, and I hadn't slept well before, so I was really tired.

So it didn't take long for him to get rid of the pain in his knees and quickly fell into a deep sleep.

It seemed that he had released some long-held emotions in his heart, or that he was letting go of his baggage and letting go.

All in all, he slept very soundly that night.

I woke up the next day feeling refreshed and still felt no pain in my knees.

"It's simply wonderful! Why can't Pfizer, those rubbish, make such a good drug?"

After Davis insults pharmaceutical companies, he drives to work in high spirits.

He walked into the headquarters building, looked at the staff coming towards him, and showed a smile.
