The Complete Works of the Tomb, Part 1 Yunnan Yin Sha 27

The hanging coffin is a strange burial method of the ethnic minorities in Yunnan. In order to appease the ethnic minorities, the state rarely excavates and studies these tombs. Therefore, there is very little information about hanging coffins in China and internationally. We are only here.

When I was in college, I heard a professor tell me that these tombs are all on cliffs.

, and there is only one coffin, and there is nothing else. All the funerary objects are placed in the coffin, unlike the Han coffins that have coffins and other things. In addition, not all tribesmen can choose to be buried in hanging coffins.

According to law, only clan leaders or nobles who have made special contributions to the clan can be buried in this way.

Before these coffins are buried, someone must first dig a hole in the cliff, then hang the coffin up and slowly put it in. However, it is not necessary to put all the coffins in. There must be about thirty centimeters hanging outside the hole.

The coffins are all gathered on the same cliff for burial. When you look at the bottom of the cliff, you can see that the entire cliff is covered with coffins, and the part left outside looks like it is hanging in the air, so it is called hanging coffin.

"No way, you still have to climb the cliff, right?" Fatty muttered. Of all the people here, he is the fattest and the least agile.

"You can't climb up. You have to go up the cliff from the other side first, then put down a rope and slowly go down. And you can only do it at night." Hei San said helplessly.

"What? Why can you only climb at night?" Liu Ming asked. The fat man also looked at Hei San in confusion.

"Can you let others dig the graves of your ancestors? It would be weird if you don't get beaten to death." I looked at them with a smile.

"Yes, you will definitely be beaten to death." Hei San said seriously. The three of us were stunned for a moment.

Heisan continued: "In the past few years, a few people who fell in love went there to get things and were caught. As a result, they were beaten to death." The three of us were sweating after hearing this.

"So now the village is very guarded against all strangers entering the village. Basically, outsiders are not allowed to enter the village unless someone from the village takes them." Hei San lit up a cigarette.

"Then how can we get in?" Liu Ming asked.

It seems that Liu Ming is not afraid of death, and I am certainly not afraid either. He was mentally prepared before he came. Only the fat man was thinking with an expression of embarrassment on his face.

"We won't enter from the village." Hei San puffed out his smoke proudly.

"Where can we get in?" Liu Ming and I asked in unison.

"If we enter from the village, we will never be able to do anything. Even if someone takes us in, it will be impossible, because someone will definitely pay attention to us. So we can only climb to the top from the other side of the mountain, and then follow the rope down to the cliff. This way

Not only is it convenient and close, but the most important thing is safety. The only disadvantage is that it can only be done at night and you can't light torches, so it's easy to get into trouble." Hei San said proudly at the beginning, but could only frown at the last sentence.

brow.

"Then wear night vision goggles." I had an idea and blurted out.

"Smart, but that thing is too expensive. A not very good one costs several thousand yuan." Liu Ming said.
