23. Childhood

"Hey, how about we go downstairs for a walk." Ke Yang turned sideways and asked tentatively.

Zhang Weimo put his hand on the sofa and replied readily: "Okay."

They walked to the door together. Ke Yang followed her silently, holding the door handle. He closed the door in the end. Her mother was busy in the kitchen. I remember when she was in school, she always took Ke Yang for a ride because the school was far away from home.

Yang's father's car, he always helped her close the door. Zhang Weimo briefly recalled the school days with Ke Yang.

Ke Yang walked to the canteen downstairs and sighed: "Wow, it turns out this canteen is still there."

"Yes, the boss is still the same aunt as before, but the store has been slightly renovated and is better than before." Zhang Weimo explained to him, like a tour guide introducing attractions.

"I still remember that when we were young, we always bought snacks here. Sometimes we didn't have money, and we were eager to see the snacks. My aunt would occasionally make an exception and give us a pack of spicy chips. I remember that at that time, the only thing you had to buy when you entered the store was shrimp chips." Ke

Yang looked at the canteen in the distance and said happily.

"Ah, yes, I was very happy if I had snacks every day." I don't know if it was because of the canteen in front of him and the memories of childhood, but Zhang Weimo gradually became familiar with him.

Ke Yang wanted to tease her, so he said jokingly: "I still remember that you didn't like studying very much at that time."

She shot back: "You loved playing games at that time, and your dad always asked me if you secretly skipped class to play games at school."

The two people talked about the past, their words were full of emotion, and they looked at each other and laughed after talking.

When he got home, his mother had prepared a table full of delicious food. Zhang Weimo was so greedy that he fanned himself in front of the dining table and smelled the food. His mother came over and knocked off her hand: "

Wash your hands quickly!"

At the dinner table, his mother was extremely enthusiastic towards him, constantly putting food in his bowl and praising him without hesitation. Compared with Zhang Weiwei next to him, Ke Yang looked more like her biological son.

"Ke Yang, eat more. Look at how thin you are. Being a programmer must be very hard!"

"Thank you, Auntie!" Ke Yang politely took the dish his mother handed him.

Younger brother Zhang Future joked: "Brother Ke Yang, I heard that programmers often have to stay up late and will become bald after working for a long time."

On the contrary, Ke Yang was a little restrained, "Ah? Really? Maybe my hair quality is better." After saying that, he even touched his hair.

"Ah... turns out not all programmers are bald!"

Mom hit Zhang Weiwei on the head with chopsticks, as if punishing him for his lax jokes, and said, "Why do you talk so much? I'll eat your food!"

After eating, Zhang Weimo naturally put away the dishes and chopsticks. He wanted to help his mother clear away the leftovers on the table, stack the plates and bowls and take them to the kitchen to wash them clean, but her mother whispered in her ear:

"Hurry up and talk to Ke Yang. I'll wash the dishes."

She really didn't understand what her mother meant. She simply thought that her mother didn't want him to be embarrassed sitting on the sofa. She sat on the sofa carelessly, not knowing what to say to him.

"Do you play games? Let's play a game!" Zhang Weimo had no choice but to use games to open the topic.

"Come on!" Ke Yang said, taking out his cell phone and showing great interest.
