Chapter 179 Gao Fengliang Festival Confucian Teachings

With a robe in his body, Kong Yingda's bent back could not help but slowly straighten his body.

Looking at Li Shimin and the officials in the hall, Kong Yingda looked very calm, as if all this in the court had been cut off from him.

But Li Shimin gave him another title. As a famous bachelor of Qin Wangfu who did not participate in the Xuanwu Gate and did not go to the battlefield with Li Shimin, such a title can definitely be called a kind of honor.

If it is never cut off, this title will always be accompanied by Kong Yingda. Even if he makes a big mistake, the title will still be retained.

It's just a pity that it is not a sacred title.

Kong Yingda didn't want to pass on the title of the world. If the descendants did not work hard, the title would become the guarantee for their survival!

With a childlike spirit, no one is in her sleeves, only books are in her hand, who can share with the world?

Kong Yingda, who left the court, felt indescribable heroism in his heart, and he felt like he was used to the various aspects of life and the road ahead was stormy and rain.

"Go to visit His Highness the King of Qin first!"

When he thought of Li Fangchen awakening himself, Kong Yingda couldn't help but sigh in his heart, the times created heroes, and the great men of the Tang Dynasty should be led by His Highness the King of Qin.

There were many people watching along the way, but Kong Yingda was not uncomfortable, but often saluted the people on both sides.

The high-ranking officials are also recognized by the people of Chang'an, especially Kong Yingda, the Kong family, but no one thought that he would walk on the street in a Confucian outfit.

The car that followed slowly behind him was not sure why, was he crazy today? He didn't even ride a car?

He walked completely and came out of the palace. After walking for half an hour, he arrived in front of the Qin Palace.

I couldn't help but breathe a little heavier. It seemed that I was old and he couldn't stand this way of traveling.

"Lawful Lord informed me, Confucian Kong Yingda, ask to see His Highness the King of Qin in the Tang Dynasty!"

"No, Your Highness said bluntly that the elder can enter the mansion directly!"

"So? Thank you guy!"

How could Li Fangchen not know what happened in the court? And it was Li Shimin who sent someone to ask. When he first heard about Li Fangchen, he was frightened. Is this old man Kong crazy?

The other party obviously misunderstood the meaning of Li Fangchen's words, but instead entered a higher level.

Li Fangchen, who thought clearly about the truth, was amused and sighed: "It's good that I am the foundation of my future generations in the Tang Dynasty, and I am stable!"

Then, the subordinates in the mansion were arranged. If the great scholar Kong Ying arrived at the mansion, he would invite him in without reporting.

Unexpectedly, the first stop for the other party leaving the court was his Qin Wang Mansion.

"Min, Kong Yingda, thank His Highness the King of Qin for his on-demand kindness!"

"I'm polite, please get up quickly. I think Lord Kong has figured it out?"

Since the other party misunderstood, Li Fangchen did not explain much, and the result is better now.

Kong Yingda stood up with a smile, then sighed: "Living for a lifetime, if it weren't for Your Highness's on-demand, Kong Yingda would probably still be addicted to the court and unable to extricate himself. He is really unfilial to his descendants and is ashamed of his ancestors."

Li Fangchen sent someone to prepare a refreshment for him, asked him to sit down and chat, and added tea for him personally.

In the past, Kong Yingda was afraid that he would not dare to drink it. Now, what is he afraid of?

The Kong family's attitude towards Li Fangchen changed from the original admiration to the current great scholars' treatment.

Just the two amazing works in the newspaper can be regarded as the identity of Li Fangchen as a great scholar.

"Did you think about what plans will you do in the future?"

Kong Yingda smiled and said, "No, I thought I would travel around the Tang Dynasty like my ancestors and accept thirty-six disciples, but when I saw Your Highness, Kong forgot about this plan."

Li Fangchen couldn't help asking, "Why?"

Kong Yingda tasted the tea lightly and sighed: "Good tea."

Li Fangchen rolled his eyes and asked you the right thing, why are you still going around with me?

Fortunately, Kong Yingda did not disappoint Li Fangchen, and then gave the answer, "Your Highness, King Qin, Kong wants to know, what do you think of Confucianism?"

"All those who do not study Confucius' skills in the Six Arts will be cleared and do not advance together. Can Confucius know this?"

Kong Yingda nodded, "This is Dong Zhongshu's words, and he used the advice of Emperor Wu of Han! He then abolished all schools of thought and respected Confucianism alone."

Li Fangchen narrowed his eyes slightly, "So I dare to ask Mr. Kong, is this wrong?"

Kong Yingda fell silent. As the biggest beneficiary, Confucianism, there was nothing wrong! For that era, there was nothing wrong! So he did not speak or answer, and he believed that His Highness of Qin would give him an explanation.

Li Fangchen stood up, turned his hand behind his back and asked, "Scholars, farmers, industry and commerce, where does it come from? What are the scholars?"

Kong Yingda replied: "The fifth chapter of Guanzi written by the wise man Guan Zhong! In the pre-Qin records, scholars generally refer to people who know literacy and understand, and some scholars always say that the sons of scholars are always scholars; in the Han Dynasty, those who are in the true ranks were all scholars; now in our Tang Dynasty, all officials and families can be scholars! He represents a status and an identity!"

"So, I want to ask, is this identity good or bad?"

Kong Yingda kept silent again, this was the second question he couldn't answer.

"Mozi said that common people, scholars, officials, princes, three dukes, and emperors form a country with high and low rank; Xunzi said that farmers, scholars, workers, merchants, and merchants; Mencius wrote that if they were guilty and killed the scholars, the officials could go; if they were guilty and killed the people, the scholars could move. I want to ask, before the farming, the scholars should be the scholars, or before the farming, and after the farming, what does the scholars mean?"

Kong Yingda's pupils were filled with shock because he couldn't answer the two questions.

Li Fangchen was not in a hurry at all when he picked up a piece of pastry and put it in his mouth. Instead, he was looking forward to it. He wanted to know what Kong Yingda was thinking.

To put it bluntly, these last few questions are discussing one thing, what does the scholar represent?

But the first question is a heartfelt exploration. Is it really good if Confucianism is the dominant one?

As a member of the scholars and as a member of Confucianism, Kong Yingda could not answer these two questions at all.

To be contrary to one's will, it is contrary to the essence of Confucianism, but if he tells the truth, he cannot and dares not.

Li Fangchen asked last, "Is what the wise men said really right?"

Kong Yingda understood and thought about what the King of Qin and the officials said before that the times are changing and nothing is unchanging. He couldn't tell that it was not because he had a shallow knowledge, but that this was originally a contradiction.

There was nothing wrong with Dong Zhongshu, and there was nothing wrong with Emperor Wu of Han. The Han Dynasty needed this at that time!

It doesn’t matter which one is ahead of scholars or farmers. What’s important is that they are both part of the Tang Dynasty and are inseparable.

They all play the roles they need to do at a certain stage.

More importantly, what should we do now?

Should we continue to be the identity of future generations and judge what our predecessors do?

Leave right and wrong, merit and demerit to future generations to comment on. What is more important now is to abandon the constraints on the knowledge taught by our ancestors and go further!

Kong Yingda couldn't help but sigh: "Your Highness is great wisdom. Kong is not as good as it is!"

Li Fangchen laughed and said to Kong Yingda: "I want to change the Tang Dynasty and lay an indestructible foundation for future generations! Kong Yingda! Are you willing to help me with your help?"

Kong Yingda bowed and said, "I wish to go with Your Highness!"
