Chapter 109 Seeking answers(2/2)

"Are they singing a war hymn?"

Wanda, who had been silent all night, suddenly asked a question. Peter looked at the crowd in the firelight and shook his head slightly.

"That's not entirely true. This is supposed to be a prayer, but now it's just like a war song..."

Peter pointed to the dilapidated houses outside the camp and whispered:

"Destroying a family will inevitably arouse greater hatred. The biggest wish of each of them in life is revenge. They pray for the power that will allow them to complete their revenge. But sadly, they are all controlled by hatred in the end.

They have become the props of some careerists and people in power. They can't find a reason to live. They just want to know why they died, but there are always some people who want to take advantage of their deaths."

"Revenge..."

Wanda shook her head in disbelief and retorted:

"I have personally seen them shoot and kill civilians, rob civilians, and attack the Red Cross. Their target of revenge should not be...should not be..."

Seeing that Wanda couldn't name a target for a long time, Peter answered in a low voice:

"Because the government forces were once the Soviet Union, and now they are puppets of the United States, and organizations large and small like the Ten Rings Gang have also jumped out to expand their power and influence in the name of revenge. These people will

The local people were completely torn apart. Now they can no longer tell who is the enemy. They only know how to shoot and kill until they die in the hands of others.

They are like a group of ants locked in a jar. They usually live in peace, but if someone shakes the jar, they will bite and fight each other thinking that other ant colonies are invading, but no one knows their real enemy.

In fact, it was the person who put them in the jar and shook the jar."

Wanda followed Peter's finger and looked at the ruins.

There was not a single figure there. The reverberations of the dying people drifted through the scattered rubble in the cold wind, and the outline of the mark on the wall seemed to have drawn a shadow on it.

But the ruins towering under the night sky are more empty than ominous.

Wanda lowered her head, and the soldier with only half of his body left and the boy who could have survived flashed before her eyes.

When she raised her head again, her eyes were very cloudy, but the emotions in them were incredibly clear, with a hint of confusion and determination.

"Peter, what do you want to do next?"

For the first time since she set foot on this land and forcefully asked Peter to bring her and her brother with him, she asked Peter about his purpose of coming here.
