I was half clear and half confused. I watched him walk out, and there was a heavy storm outside. After he walked out of the door, he closed the door of the library with his backhand.

I was the only one left, standing in this dim library.

Just now, he looked around and asked me to "find it out".

Could it be that in this library, will there be the answers I need?

Thinking of this, I slowly walked to a bookshelf next to me, took out a book from it, and when I opened it, it was Fu Badai's handwriting. Although his eyes were no longer visible, his words were written better than in the past. Perhaps it was because the eyes were invisible that other senses became more sensitive and could concentrate on one thing. These words slowly faded away the flowing water from the original time, and some heavy weight was accumulated in the horizontal and vertical strokes.

I could almost see his thoughts and those heavy thoughts from his handwriting.

The book in my hand is "The True Sutra of Chongxu".

Originally, I only planned to read two pages casually, but after seeing it, I was reluctant to let go. I kept reading several volumes before I could only close the book myself. This book should have been recorded earlier. The pages of the book were not as new as the one I just saw, especially the first two volumes and the fifth volume. I read them too many times, and the corners of the book were a little furious.

After closing the book, I felt it had nothing to do with what I was looking for, so I put it back and took out a second one.

"Taibai Yin Meridian".

Military books?

I was a little surprised. Although I also knew that he had included many ancient books to protect those cultures, which may not be Confucian classics, such as the "Chongxu True Sutra" just now, I didn't expect that he even included military books.

I read two more books and found that he had recorded a lot of military books, such as "Sima Fa" and "Taiji Jing", which were all in one go.

It's really rare.

After reading it, I found that he had collected a lot of things. But for some reason, he didn't seem to have recorded many Confucian classics. However, Taoism, military and legalists accounted for a considerable proportion of the dozen books he recorded.

Perhaps, as he said just now, if you have enough granaries, you will know etiquette. An ordinary person will only care about the collection and education issues of his family if he has enough food and drink, but he will not care about culture. Only those who are truly standing at a high level will not see the gains and losses of each book; and as a great Confucian Confucian scholar, he is not only concerned about the decline of Confucian classics, but not everyone can do it.

So, he is the master, and we can probably only be his students for the rest of our lives.

Thinking of this, I sighed softly.

However, the books here don't seem to have much to do with my mother.

Putting down the books he recorded, I walked to the side again. The library had high bookshelfs standing in all directions, almost blocking the windows, so the light inside was so dark. Then the faint light cast from the skylight, I slowly walked to the other side of the bookshelf against the wall, and looked through the bookshelf above.

These are the royal collections.

I have also seen these collections of books in the inner cabinet. It seems that Fu Badai has only focused on recording the ancient books himself over the years, and has never read the books here, and it has accumulated a layer of dust on it.

but--

I walked step by step, looking through bookshelf one by one. When I walked to the bookshelf in a corner and picked up a book on it, I felt the clean pages of the book with my fingertips.

I frowned, but because the light in this corner was so dim that I could hardly see what was written in this book, so I took it and walked slowly to the door, and then the light outside looked down—

Daily Notes.

I was shocked.

Daily Notes are records of the emperor's daily behavior. They are always recorded by the daily orders. The daily note is followed by the emperor and will be recorded. They will copy and copy them once for a period of time, and then collect them. They are generally used as basic materials for compiling official history in all dynasties.

Even the emperor could hardly see his daily life notes, and would not easily spread these things.

But the book in my hand—

I frowned slightly, subconsciously turned on a page, and when I saw the first page, my heart couldn't help but skip a beat.

Because, the first sentence I saw was - Emperor Gao’s daily life registration.

This is the daily note of the founding emperor of the current dynasty, that is, the high emperor who went south from the grassland, occupied the Central Plains in one fell swoop, and established the Celestial Empire?

In this way, it has been at least fifty or sixty years since now.

I suppressed a strange beating in my heart, and hurriedly looked through it carefully, and found that the records of this daily note were very detailed. Regardless of whether the big and small events were important or not, they were all recorded in the book. The handwriting was quite sloppy, and there were not many traces of reading. You can tell at a glance that this was the original record of the daily note.

Generally speaking, the emperor's daily notes will be revised and re-recorded by people at the end of the month or at the end of the season. One is to modify the typos in it, and the other is to copy it into a volume, so that it is easier to store and to use it in the future to compile official history. After that, the manuscripts are often discarded and some will be directly destroyed.

But I didn't expect that an original manuscript of undestroyed daily notes would appear in the library.

I think Pei Yuanhao asked someone to move all the books in the palace here for the convenience of Fu Badai's compilation. Those people probably didn't expect that such a book would be mixed in, and they didn't pay attention to it.

However, Emperor Gao’s daily life notes...

That was something that happened fifty or sixty years ago. Will it have anything to do with the answer I am looking for?

Thinking of this, I couldn't help but hold my breath, turn down the page, and see a few clear big words on that page. It's rare to have neat handwriting, probably because what is recorded is not a sloppy thing-

On the seventh day of the third month of Wuwu in the first year of Yuanqing, the emperor went to Mingtang to offer sacrifices. The emperor led all the generals and the princes of Shengjing to submit a celebration ceremony, but failed and returned to the palace.

The first year of Yuanqing? That was the early years of the founding of the Celestial Empire, but I remember that Emperor Gao should have officially ascended the throne in mid-March. This daily note records some things when he had almost conquered the entire Central Plains, quelled the Yangzhou Rebellion, temporarily appeased Xichuan, and prepared for preparations seven days before he ascended the throne.

For example, sacrifices are offered in the Mingtang.

Therefore, the record of Emperor Gao’s sacrifice in Mingtang was not the civil and military officials, nor the kings, but the generals. Obviously, there was no formal enthronement at that time.

but--

"Unsuccessful".

These two words are reflected in my eyes and seem a little eye-catching.

Emperor Gao’s first sacrifice in Mingtang was before he ascended the throne, obviously to win over the relationship between several sides. After all, the people’s trust in the court had been reduced to the lowest level. The remaining ministers of the previous dynasty were watching, and the princes and princes in the Grassland Shengjing were also watching. Sacrifice to Mingtang was a means to stabilize the people’s hearts and create a certain situation.

But this time the sacrifice was unsuccessful.

That is to say, it did not succeed.

Why didn't it succeed?

I hurriedly turned down, but the following pages were already recorded in other things.

Although the daily notes record the emperor's daily words and deeds, Emperor Gao had not ascended the throne at that time, and even the civil and military officials were not even in a hurry to enthrone, there was a daily necessity. Obviously, he wanted to show his power. Because there was never such a precedent in the past, the grassland was better than the Jing. They probably only realized that there was such a thing after entering the Central Plains and occupying the capital, which would facilitate the compilation of official history in the future, so they specially enthroned a daily necessity in advance. In fact, it was quite a bit like a poor person and a rich person, which was also funny.

It is no wonder that the records are not detailed in such a hurry.

However, I thought about it and continued to look back.

Turning to the seventh page, it was recorded that "On March 14, 2018, the emperor went to the Mingtang to offer sacrifices. The emperor led all civil and military officials and the princes and princes of Shengjing to submit a celebration ceremony, and the ceremony was completed and returned to the palace."

This time, Mingtang sacrifice was successful.

The difference between the two sides was exactly seven days. After the sacrifice was successful, Emperor Gao officially ascended the throne.

It is obvious that everything has been clearly grasped and there is no obstruction force for him to succeed. A large part of his success should come from this successful Mingtang sacrifice.

But why did it turn from failure to success just seven days apart?

I thought about it and turned forward again.

The previous pages recorded nothing more than some enthronements and banquets. The emperor led his ministers to temples around the imperial city to burn incense and pray for blessings. It was not important.

However, when I turned to the records of the day on March 10, I stopped.

On the other pages, several things will be recorded on the same day. After all, Emperor Gao should be the busiest time in those seven days, and he can be said to be busy every day, but on this page, only one thing was recorded for a whole day—

On the tenth day of the third month of Wuwu in the first year of Yuanqing, the emperor visited Chongyun Pavilion in the western suburbs.

Western Suburbs?!

Chongyun Pavilion?!

This is--

When I saw that place name and those few words, I suddenly felt a buzzing sound in my mind, as if something was hit behind my head. My hands trembled, and I couldn't hold on to the daily note in my hand, and it fell from my fingertips!

I hurriedly reached out to pick it up, but at this moment, there was a sound of footsteps outside, creaking in the snow, and it was coming here. When I heard that sound, it was not a large group of people, there should be only one or two people.

However, at this time, the only people who can come to the library are-

My heart was shocked, and I heard that the steps had already reached the door and stopped. Even if I picked up the book, I didn't have time to put it back. I calmed down and hurriedly kicked the book behind the door, then straightened my waist and reached out to support it on the door.

At this moment, the door of the library was pushed open.

With a creaking sound, a cold wind blew with the snow foam suddenly, which made me shudder. When I looked up, I saw Nianshen standing at the door, covered with thick wind blouses, and big eyes were wide open on his fair and thin face. He probably didn't expect me to stand at the door. Suddenly, he met like this, which scared him.

"Aunt Qing!"

"Your Highness."

"I see Aunt Qing hasn't come out for so long, come and take a look. Aunt Qing is here-"

He said, looking in a few seconds.

I hurriedly covered up and said, "He asked me to help him read the books recorded by Mr. Fu to see if there are any typos."

"Oh. Then, has Aunt Qing finished reading it?"

I smiled faintly and said, "His memory is much better than ours. He can record many things in books that I don't remember. How can I help him correct the typo? But I just agree to it and respond to it."

Nian Shen also smiled, but his smile seemed a little lonely: "This is the case with the teacher. No matter how you persuade him, it's not good."

It seems that Fu Badai's white-headed incident was a blow to him, so when I came here before, he didn't know how to answer. Perhaps for him, this master sect is a force he can rely on in the imperial city and can fully believe in. But now, I am no longer in the palace, and Qinghan has also been guilty and fled to Xichuan. Fu Badai is in this situation again. It can be said that his master sect has almost all withered.

Thinking of this, I felt a little sad, but I could only comfort him: "Your Highness, don't worry too much. Mr. Fu is very serious, but he will never sacrifice himself just to record a few books. But now you are by your side, so it's good to persuade him more on weekdays."

He nodded: "I know."

We were facing each other, one stood inside the door and the other stood outside the door. The cold wind was still blowing with snow foam. After a while, a lot of snowflakes fell on the ground at my feet, and the library became even colder.

So I said, "There is nothing to see anymore. It's not too early, so it's time for me to go back."

“…”

As soon as these words came out, Nian Shen's face was shocked and then he became depressed.

Although he should have understood very well before picking me up into the palace that this meeting cannot be a long-term gathering and I must leave, when this was really said, it was like a gust of cold wind blew into his heart, making his face pale suddenly.

However, he didn't say anything, just lowered his head and took a step back. I took the threshold, looked down at the booklet behind the door, and slowly closed the door without saying a word.

The light, bit by bit, closed on the floor of the library, and when I moved through the daily note, I could still vaguely recognize those words-

Western Suburbs, Chongyun Pavilion...

At this moment, a ray of light shone in my heart.

I recalled that day when I followed Wu Yanqiu all the way to the western suburbs. Before leaving, I saw the pavilions faintly hidden among the calm pine trees on the mountain.
