Chapter 255 The Glen Conference, late but arrived(1/2)

All Heavens: I have stopped being human since Storm Red. Chapter 255 of the text volume: The meeting in Rivendell. Although it is late, I have reached the latest website: "Gandalf, how far is it? Can we rest for a while?"

"We'll be there soon, Gimli, you talk too much nonsense."

"You said hurry up when we crossed the Misty Mountains just now. Let's sit down and have something to eat? I'm really hungry."

"Shut up! I'm starting to regret waiting for you to go with me. Besides, Elrond will prepare a banquet for us."

Two figures, one tall and one short, were walking on the bare and steep mountain road. It was Gandalf who left the Lonely Mountain, and the dwarf Gimli, who was a member of the Lonely Mountain royal family.

Gimli has a simple and rough face, a lush beard that trembles as he speaks, a short and stocky body wearing armor and a helmet, and a heavy double-edged ax on his back. He was appointed by Dain Ironfoot as the lone man.

Representative of the mountain, and Gandalf went to attend an important meeting of the various races.

"We have arrived," Gandalf said suddenly.

After turning the corner, Gimli took a closer look and said with surprise, "Is this the valley? The scenery is so beautiful."

A quiet deep valley is backed by steep misty mountains, like a hidden paradise.

The slopes from top to bottom are covered with vigorous pine forests, and large areas of beech and oak grow in the low areas near the river. Two clear streams flow down, converging into the Bruinen River that passes through the canyon all the way to the west.

Stone bridges span rivers and streams, and there are classical buildings built nestled in the valley. The beautiful gray-white pavilions are stacked on top of each other, half-covered by water mist, like the residence of gods.

Surrounded by gardens and lush greenery, a broad terrace stands next to the palace, overlooking the entire valley.

"Yes, this is our destination, Rivendell, also known as Rivendell." Gandalf replied.

There are five elven territories in Middle-earth today, and Rivendell, ruled by Elrond, is the most famous among them. Throughout the ages, countless visitors have come to Rivendell to seek shelter, advice or knowledge.

Glen is even praised as "the last home of all kind creatures east of the sea"!

"Welcome both of you, I've been waiting for you for a long time."

As soon as the two of them crossed a stone bridge, Elrond, the Lord of Rivendell, came out to greet them personally.

Although he was born in the First Era and has lived a long life of 6,500 years, his face has not left any traces of time. His appearance is somewhere between old and young. He seems to be only in his forties.

However, many happy and sad memories are engraved in his eyes. Sometimes they are bright and bright, sometimes they are lonely and lonely, as if they are hiding the stars in the clear dusk.

His long black hair is like a shadow before dawn. He wears a silver hoop on his forehead. Under the crimson cloak is a slender and burly body. When he stands still, he looks like a weather-beaten melancholy king. When he steps forward,

Another example is a passionate warrior who has experienced hundreds of battles.

"Although I think the elves are too delicate, this guy's temperament is really extraordinary. I like him more than Thranduil of the Woodland Kingdom." Gimli said softly.

Gandalf raised his eyebrows but did not refute. Thranduil was indeed too arrogant and cold, and could not compare to Elrond in terms of affinity.

"Aragorn and Legolas from the Woodland Kingdom have arrived. There are still representatives from Gondor who have not yet arrived. I estimate that Denethor will send Boromir. As for Rohan, they seem not to participate, saying that all power will be left to Gondor.

Dor's decision," Elrond said to Gandalf.

This gathering of all parties was jointly initiated by Elrond and Gandalf, and had two themes.

The first is to formally form the Middle-Earth Alliance to fight against the growing Mordor, and the second is to publicly discuss and discuss the matter of the Supreme Lord of the Rings in this world. Naturally, Chu Xin will also be mentioned.

"It doesn't matter, there's no rush for a day or two." Gandalf waved his hand and said.

And this wait lasted a whole week until the last day of the meeting deadline.

Here Gandalf met Bilbo, the previous owner of the Lord of the Rings. The more than 100-year-old hobbit had aged much after giving up the Lord of the Rings, and even walked hobbled.

However, he lived a very comfortable and comfortable life in the valley. He didn't have to think about anything every day, let alone be bewitched by the Supreme Lord of the Rings and live in fear all day long.

In the early morning, when everyone was enjoying the leisurely and comfortable days, Boromir arrived on horseback covered in dust, and the cry of the tired war horse officially announced that the "holiday" was over, and the long working day was about to begin.

In the small but elegant small garden, everyone was sitting around the table. Elrond was sitting on a throne carved from white jade, his eyes sweeping over the participants like water.

Descendant of human royalty——Aragorn.

The Gray Wizard - Gandalf.

Messenger of Gondor - Boromir.

Messenger of the Lonely Mountain——Gimli.

The woodland elf prince——Legolas.

There are also some elderly officials from various ethnic groups.

There were not many people, but they were all the future pillars of one force. After all, a meeting of this level would not require the heads of various ethnic groups to come all the way.

Elrond's gaze paused briefly at a corner.

There was a human woman there.

She has soft and smooth light blond short ear-length hair, fair cheeks with light freckles, a pair of eyes with restrained light, and a calm and peaceful expression.

He was wrapped in a simple robe suitable for long journeys, but it was easy to see that he was tall and well-proportioned.

He is about thirty years old, but his temperament in every gesture is outstanding, which cannot be concealed by plain dressing.

Elrond did not know her. According to Gandalf, her name was Angelite, and she was a bard who walked in Middle-earth. Because of her considerable knowledge and knowledge, she was invited by Gandalf to attend the meeting.

"Thank you for being able to..." As soon as Elrond spoke, the attendant led a burly figure and walked over quickly.

"Eomund," Boromir called.

The person who came was none other than the Grand Marshal of the Rohan Army, who had an acquaintance with Chu Xin.

"Sorry, I'm late." Eomund saluted everyone politely.

This chapter is not over yet, please click on the next page to continue reading! Neither Gandalf nor Elrond asked any more questions about this. It would be best if they came.

Two hours passed.

At noon, the valley is full of light, and the warm sunlight is chopped up by the gaps between the branches and leaves, and falls scatteredly on everyone's shoulders.

Until now, the China-Turkmen Alliance has only been initially established, and deeper cooperation and exchanges will require long-term joint operations.

But in Gandalf's view, this is undoubtedly a good sign. At least when facing the invasion of Mordor, they will not be defeated one by one because of their separate camps. They can look after each other and form an efficient defense line.

"Gandalf, you said there is another important thing, what is it?" Elrond asked, even his host did not know.

At this time, everyone's eyes were focused on Gandalf.

"Smaug, and the One Ring." Gandalf calmly said two words that shocked everyone.

Of course, in their eyes, the former is just an insignificant add-on compared to the latter.

"Do you have news about the Lord of the Rings?!" Boromir stood up and asked excitedly.

Gandalf nodded, and everyone immediately looked at each other with wide eyes.

"You also mentioned Smaug. Could it be that he is in his hands?" the handsome Legolas asked.

Gandalf raised his eyebrows and smiled, "Yes, it is indeed in Smaug's hands."

For a time, everyone calmed down again, and most of the previous passion was extinguished in an instant.

"It is said that the resurrected dragon skeleton is far more powerful than it was in life. Even though I am in the isolated valley, I have heard of its many deeds." Elrond said solemnly.

Aragorn recalled the violent appearance of Chu Xin crushing the Dongyi people and dark creatures.

Éomund recalled the death explosions that spewed out from the grasslands.

Boromir recalled Chu Xin's strong and unruly power over Baicheng.

The expressions on the faces of several people are different, and they are particularly complicated and doubtful. They don't seem to regard Chu Xin as a pure villain.

Gandalf looked at their faces with interest and was not in a hurry to say anything more.

At this time Gimli spoke, "Didn't Smaug already reach a cooperation with Gandalf? There is no need for everyone to look gloomy. Don't you all know?"

Facing everyone's helpless looks, Gandalf said slowly, "I did reach an agreement with Smaug. He expressed his willingness to join us on the same front to fight against Sauron and Mordor, but the Lord of the Rings will be kept by him."

When Elrond heard this, he touched his chin and remained silent.

The rest of the people were also lost in thought. Except for a few people, most of them frowned, obviously not trusting Chu Xin to master the Supreme Lord of the Rings.

"I'm afraid that's inappropriate," Boromir objected. "The reason why I came so late is precisely because of Smaug."

It was Gandalf's turn to be stunned, "Have you already met him?"

Boromir said, "It's not just me, but the entire people of White City. Not only that, we almost had an endless conflict with it."

Next, he told the story in detail, "...I'm not sure whether Saruman betrayed Middle-earth or not. However, Smaug's position between good and evil is not clear. The dragon is cunning and treacherous by nature, and it would be wrong to break his promise.

It’s not a rare thing. If something as important as the Supreme Lord of the Rings is kept by it, who would really rest assured?”

In fact, Gandalf also had his concerns, but the latter believed in his and Aragorn's judgment more, so he chose to trust Chu Xin. The former's first impression of Chu Xin was not good, so naturally he had such an attitude.

"Did Smaug really say that Saruman and Sauron were in cahoots with each other?" Gandalf asked seriously.

Not only him, but everyone present including the female bard felt that it was outrageous. After all, if Saruman participated in the meeting of Rivendell, he would be sitting side by side with Elrond.

"Yes, and so far, Saruman has not shown up," Boromir added, "but this does not explain Smaug's position, it simply proves that there is a conflict between the two of them."

It's clearly organized and careful, but unfortunately I don't have a God's perspective, so it's a bit confusing.

"Actually, I think Smaug is okay." Aragorn said suddenly.

"Although I have never met him, my father mentioned to me that Smaug has a good relationship with the elves of Dovinion." Legolas followed suit.
