Chapter 700: An inch of river and country, an inch of gold

Zhao Xin, who has returned to Beihai Town, is always paying attention to the progress in Xinjiang and will naturally not let go of what happened in Hami.

In his opinion, hanging Burke, who was full of evil deeds, certainly played a good publicity role, but this was just the first step. He really wanted to go to the foot of the Tianshan Mountains in person, but there was something more important now, and the border negotiations with the Li Dynasty.

The envoys of the Li Dynasty had been to Beihai Town for half a month. The purpose of their trip was to negotiate with Beihai Town on the ownership rights and the division of the northeast border line at the southern foot of the Tumen River.

The Li Dynasty attached great importance to this negotiation and sent a negotiation team of hundreds of people. The head and deputy envoys were Zuo Zheng and Li Cao's judgment. In addition, five ministers including the left counselor of the Border Department, Hongwenguan Datixue, and Li Cao's judgment. In addition, the entourage and attendants were the same as the Yan expedition group to Beijing.

The reason why the specifications are so high is mainly because the North Navy's military operation across Tumenjiang really scared Li Xu and his civil and military personnel. They even felt that if they played the "close and distant" trick with Beihai Town and avoided talking about the border issue, the King Zhao might have been coming to Hanyang City.

On the morning of the Mid-Autumn Festival on August 15th, under the command of Pan Xiucheng, the Northern Navy stationed in Hunchun suddenly crossed the Tumen River with two regiments and launched a full-line attack on the Qing army entrenched in Qingxing, Qingyuan, Wencheng, Zhongcheng and Huining on the long border. Fearing from the powerful offensive of the Northern Navy, the Qing generals from all over the country either committed suicide and were captured, and their subordinates were dispersed and surrendered; or like Naqitai, they led the defenders to surrender in an established manner.

At this point, since the 31st year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty, the defense system of the six northern towns that took nearly 50 years to achieve the "Northern Advance Strategy" completely collapsed, leaving only a "assistance defense base" - Funing Mansion.

After Huining City was taken down, Pan Xiucheng did not forget Zhao Xin's instructions. After only two days of rest, he sent a battalion south to attack Maoshan Prefecture City, and finally went downstairs.

For this battle, Pan Xiucheng prepared for two years in Hunchun. During this period, in addition to sending people to inquire with the North Korean farmers who crossed the river and bribed the Li Dynasty officials to obtain information on the defense system along the river, the North Navy's scouts also disguised themselves on the south bank for on-site reconnaissance many times, knowing the climate, mountains, rivers, villages, passes and roadblocks, beacons and Yantai and the deployment of the troops on the south bank of the Tumen River, and then they all went down in one go.

At the same time as the ground battle was launched, all ten small sailboats transferred from Beihai Town and five sailboats stationed in Mokuowei were dispatched, gathered on the sea surface of Xishuiluo area, patrolling day and night, forcing the Li Chao navy stationed in Xishuiluo Qianpu was so scared that he didn't even dare to leave the nest and could not send out the poster letter. In the end, he issued an urgent report to Jingchengfu by land. When Hanyang received the news, it was already twenty days later.

When Li Xu learned that the North Navy sent troops, he was so anxious that all the civil and military officials of the court were quick to come up with countermeasures. Cai Jigong, who had been defeated in front of Zhao Xin, had become the leader of the political affairs department at this time, and he also served as the frontier department to make an appeal. He had seen the powerful North Navy and knew that he would definitely not win the battle. Moreover, the Shogunate Changzhou vassal, which was separated from the Lee Dynasty, has now become the tyrant of Beihai Town. If there were two attacks, it would be a disaster for the country to be destroyed.

Everyone unanimously suggested that they had to talk, but the posture was very important. At the moment, the Qing Dynasty was no longer reliable, and Beihai Town became a new big and thick leg, and they had to hug each other tightly. After some recommendation, Zuo Gongzheng Jin Lusu and Li Cao Jushu Yin Yudong became the unscrupulous candidates for the team.

Before the mission, Li Xu repeatedly reminded him to bring back the five northern towns; that was the territory that was finally created during the Taizong era, and he lost himself and had no face to face his ancestors.

When the Li Dynasty delegation arrived at Whale Port, Zhao Xin had not returned yet. The five people from Beihai Town came forward to receive the reception because Deli, Chen Jingdan, Wang Zhong, Zhao Yi and Liu Taigong came forward to receive the meeting.

Li Chao has already known important figures in Beihai Town over the years, and everyone knows that Chen Jingdan is Zhao Xin's father-in-law. Needless to say, he is also in charge of the maritime trade affairs of Beihai Town; Wang Zhong is a famous scholar in the world and has a relationship with Zhao Xin as both a teacher and a friend; Liu Taigong is the head of civil affairs in Hunchun area, and he handles the daily border affairs of Li Chao and Beihai Town.

Yu Deli... This old man is so mysterious, and his life experience cannot be found at all!

However, Zhao Yi's appearance surprised everyone in the delegation. Many of them had long known him. You should know that Zhao Yi served in the Military Affairs Office more than 30 years ago and had followed Qianlong's emperor. Even such people had participated in the King of Zhao, which undoubtedly means that Beihai Town is no longer the "uncultured" separatist regime in the past.

Zhao Yi was actually going back to Jiangnan with Yuan Mei. However, when he heard that the people from the Li Dynasty were coming to negotiate, he found Yu Deli and said that he had been an official in Anfu and Yongchang, Biancheng Town, Guangxi for many years, and was very familiar with handling border affairs and could help with detailed planning.

Yu Deli thought that Guangxi's border affairs were not in harmony with the Northeast! However, seeing that Zhao Yi was so enthusiastic, it was not easy to refute the other party, so he simply arranged a temporary position as an advisor for him. Zhao Yi was naturally happy. He just wanted to see it, but he refused to do it if he really wanted to do it for an official.

When Yuan Mei saw that Zhao Yi was not leaving, she had to take her son back by boat. Although there were not enough novelties in Beihai Town and countless delicacies, the climate after winter was too cold. He really couldn't stand his old bones, and it was the most comfortable Suiyuan in Xiaocang Mountain. However, his female disciple Xi Peilan and her husband Sun Yuanxiang stayed there. The couple ranked among the top in the new imperial examination in August, one was the fifth place in the Tongsheng exam, and the other was the third place in the examination. Sun Yuanxiang went to the administrative school with others in early October to continue studying for a year, while Xi Peilan went to the primary school and became a colleague of Wang Zhenyi.

This chapter is not over, please click on the next page to continue reading! In addition to the above five, Yu Deli also selected more than a dozen scholars and children admitted to the new imperial examination this year, and all of them were stuffed into the negotiation team as assistants, which was nothing more than organizing information and meeting minutes.

The negotiations began in a polite atmosphere. Everyone was a person with identities and knowledge. Even Chen Jingdan, who was a businessman, now secretly claimed to be a "quasi-father-in-law" and could no longer be the same as before. However, the Li Dynasty and his group were typical shameless. The more you respect him, the more you feel that there is an opportunity.

The Border Department recommended that Chen Huan, one of the Hongwenguan Dati School, came up to take the story of "Mukden demarcation" in the 51st year of Kangxi, and said that the birthplace of the Kingdom of Korea was Changbai Mountain at the source of the Tumen River. Now, the sacrificial ceremony will be held every year in the first month, February and August. After Chen Huanzhi said that, he also took out the sacrificial texts written by himself and his predecessor as proof.

Wang Zhong fired the first shot in Beihai Town. He did not bother to argue about the boundary survey in the Kangxi era, but to point directly to the source.

"Your country has only been in 25 years since its establishment. The theory of Zongshan is neither seen in the scriptures nor history. It is just a theory of your country's family, so it is probably not something to be understood. If Mr. Wanpu said, Kunlun is the ancestor of all mountains, will your country move the border to the Kunlun watershed?"

"In addition, when your country first formulated the "Five Liturgy", although the six towns, including Qingxing, were already within the boundary, did not use Changbai Mountain but to use Bibai Mountain as the northern mountain. My son said to Ran You said: "Rites, the princes sacrificed the mountains and rivers in the inner city, and Ji's sacrifices it to him, which is a usurpation! Your country's intention to sacrifice to the mountains outside the territory without authorization?"

Liu Taigong added: "Although the "Song of Dragons" in your country has a saying that 'the mountains come from Changbai Mountain, the water flows towards Longxing River, the mountains and waters are Zhong Xiu Chuxiang, and the Taizu King was born', but Longxing River was formerly known as Hengjiang, and your Changbai Mountain is the "Baishan" 110 miles west of Jingcheng City, not Changbai Mountain in our country. It is said in your country's "Shizong Geography" that Bibai Mountain is about a hundred miles northwest of Dingping Prefecture, and Baishan is west of Jingcheng County."

After saying that, he threw out a stack of materials and sneered: "How far is Qingxing from Changbai Mountain? It is obviously our country's territory, when will it be in your country?!"

Chen Huanzhi hurriedly picked up the materials and looked through them. When he saw the words marked with red lines inside, he was shocked: "This..."

The passage is written in the red line standard: "On the tenth day of the seventh month of Dinghai, I went to the Yujiqing Hall... The emperor ordered the Confucian ministers to follow the "Long Fei Song" and interpret it (commonly "") and read the ten chapters... Jin Yangze, the official official, said that the sacrifices of Yuedu in our country and the sacrifices of the Northern Yue, were white. The rituals were determined at the beginning, but the sacrifices of the dynasty were meaningful, and the sacrifices of the dynasty were long. Now if you give up your nose and turn white, you may not be cautious...

The emperor ordered the edict to write to him: At the age of seventy-four, he had nothing to do. If he was to do the way of repaying the original, he would like to express his gratitude. Besides, this is not Zhang Da, but the ritual of worship... I ordered the Confucian minister to read the first chapter of Long Feige, "Now my ancestor, Qingxing is a house" and the eight characters are very subtle. Looking at this, Baitou Mountain is a mountain in our country, which is particularly clear and accurate. Although it is not the state of our country, the way of returning to the retribution is still the way of looking for firewood, let alone our country? If it is not the relatives of the minister, who is not worthy of me? Moreover, Han Na Mountain, even though the famous mountain in the country, is it comparable to this? Because a pastor heard about it, he learned the sacrificial rituals in the past, especially this? He asked the rituals to hold the rituals, and set up an altar to meet the Taoist ministers, and detailed the letters and reports, and then climbed the report."

After reading it, Chen Huanzhi was stunned and sweating heavily on his forehead. He thought to himself, why did Beihai Town even get such a secret? It seems that there are spies in the court!

The reason why he thought so was because the evidence provided by Liu Taigong was recorded in the secret archive of Lee Dynasty, "Diary of Chengzheng Yuan", which was the "up" in it, which was King Yingzu, the father of the Crown Prince Sidao, and it was on the tenth morning of the leap July lunar month in the 43rd year of Yingzu (1767).

What does this passage mean? Simply put, when Eunuch Lee Kyung went to court that day, he studied "The Song of Dragon Flying and Imperial Sky" with his ministers. Of course, this is all the preparation, and then it was extended to the ancestral sacrifice.

"The Song of Dragon Flying and Impression" was compiled by Lee Yoon, the fourth monarch of the Joseon Dynasty. The purpose is to establish the orthodox nature of the Joseon Dynasty. Its content includes the history from the Zhou Dynasty in China to the Southern Song Dynasty, and then the pen tip inherited the ancestor of Lee Anshe, and finally Taizong Li Fangyuan.

After reading it, Zuo Gongzheng Kim Zhiren submitted a memorial, proposing to change Zushan from Bibai Mountain to Changbai Mountain in China, and sacrifice to the annual sacrifice. Then Youngjo and his ministers discussed this, and some agreed and some opposed it.

The one who agrees is that Changbai Mountain is the ancestor of all mountains in Korea, and there is nothing wrong with the left-wing political discussion; the one who opposes is that it is the mountain of the Qing Dynasty, why are we sacrificing blindly?

After listening to the opinions of both parties, Yingzu sighed that he had buried his neck with a 74-year-old yellow earth, and he has accomplished nothing so far, and he is really ashamed of his ancestors. Although Baitou Mountain is not in North Korea, the ancestor of the Li family originated in Qingxing, so it is a Guoshan Mountain. If you don’t sacrifice, you will be unfilial to your descendants. If you have a ministry, you can make arrangements quickly!

In fact, Li Xing's words were purely drinking cold water to watch pornographic films - nothing is wrong with holding back!

You should know that there are two mountains north of the Lee Dynasty Yongxing that are called Changbai Mountain. One is called Changbai Mountain in China, which is called Baitou Mountain in North Korea; the other is "Baishan" 110 miles west of Jingcheng, which is called "Changbai Mountain" by locals.

Judging from the official geographical records of the early to late Korean dynasties, the latter was included in the Jingcheng Mountains and Rivers. Among these two mountains, Jingcheng Changbai Mountain is included in the three famous mountains of Hamkyung Road (later Hamkyung Road), and its status is much higher than that of Pai Toutou Mountain (now Changbai Mountain). Not only is the Baitou Mountain not listed in the famous mountains, but it is still on the ground of the "savage (Jurchen)" and is even sacrificed from the list of mountains and rivers set up by local officials.

In addition to these two Changbai Mountains, there is Zhenshanzu Baishan five miles west of Jingcheng; there is Bibai Mountain in Dingping Prefecture, which is designated as the Northern Mountain and is included in the central sacrifice. As Zhenshan north of Yongxing, the birthplace of Taizu of Korea, the status of Bibai Mountain is even higher than that of Baitou Mountain and Jingcheng Changbai Mountain.

This chapter is not finished yet, please click on the next page to continue reading the exciting content behind! Therefore, the so-called "mountain comes from Changbai Mountain" actually refers to the "Changbai Mountain" or Bibai Mountain to the west of Jingcheng, and is by no means Changbai Mountain in China with Tianchi.

The opposite Li Cao Jue Shu Yin Shidong also looked pale after reading the evidence, secretly scolded Shen Huanzhi for being idiot, and came up to tell Changbai Mountain! It was true to take back the five northern towns and Maoshan Mansion. So he said, "I will not talk about this for now. I came here this time to follow my king's order. Mr. Shen, now the barbarians on the south bank of the Tumen River have surrendered, should we return the land occupied by the Shang Kingdom to us?"

Shen Jingdan shook his head slightly and said, "The land on the south bank of the Tumen River and Maoshan are the lands of the Jurchens. Your country took advantage of the chaos at the beginning of the Ming Dynasty and occupied nearly three hundred years, and it was time to return it."

Yin Zhidong was anxious when he heard this and hurriedly said, "That was given to Taizong. How can it be said to be stealing? King Zhao cannot violate the ancestral system!"

Well, Taizong gave the land to the earth, which was a confusing thing that the Ming Dynasty did during the Yongle period. The consequences were even greater than the forty miles of Annan given to the land to the land to the south by Yongzheng.

When the Li Dynasty was in its early days, the northern border line was not Tumen River, but Jingcheng to the south.

When Li Fangyuan, the third king of the Li Dynasty, he took the opportunity to expand the border north. In addition to the Ming Dynasty when the Dingchang was not time to look north, there was another reason that when Taizu Li Chenggui was ascending to the throne, he had respected his father and grandfather for four generations as kings. Qingyuan Mansion on the south bank of the Tumen River was the burial place for his Gaozu Li Anshe and his wife.

During the Yuan Dynasty, it belonged to the "Wotong Thousand Household Office", and Li Anshe was the "first thousand households and Dalu Hachi" of the thousand households.

According to the instructions, the territory of the Yuan Dynasty should be taken over by the Ming Dynasty, and the private occupation of the Li Dynasty as a vassal state was stolen. However, when Zhu Di sent envoys to recruit the ten Virgin tribes around the Tumen River, in order to ensure its interests of "advance northward and expand borders" and achieve the goal of permanent "legal" occupation, the Li Dynasty sent envoys to Nanjing to argue, hoping that the Ming Dynasty would "replace the people of the Jurchen species in its northeastern area and beg their country to be under the jurisdiction of the same as before."

Unfortunately, the territory of "Ming Ming" was weak and lacked understanding of the areas south of the Tumen River, so it was difficult to distinguish right from wrong with the sophistry of the Korean envoys; in addition, North Korea has always been "sincerity and great service". In this case, the "softness, far-reaching and tolerance" heart of the suzerain country broke out, easily agreed to the North Korean request and granted the above-mentioned ten Virgo tribe areas. In the end, the Korean dynasty got what it wanted and formed the fact that the river was bounded by the lower reaches of the Tumen River.

Wang Zhong twisted his beard on his chin and shook his head slightly, and said lightly: "That was obtained by you who deceived Emperor Chengzu, so I can't count it! Although King Zhao was a direct descendant of Emperor Chengzu, he once said that the past Ming Dynasty had been broken, and after destroying the Tartars, we will start a new job. Whether it is the former Ming Dynasty or the Qing Dynasty, we will take back all the losses on the territory. Therefore, you no longer have to mention the old stories of the Ming Dynasty."

Liu Taigong continued, "Besides, what's going on in Maoshan is not clear about you? Which emperor of the Ming Dynasty issued an order to give Maoshan to you? Who allowed you to move Maoshan from 18 miles north of Funing Town to Sanfengping? Take out the imperial edict!"

"This, this, this is not the Jurchens left..."

Yin Yedong felt that he had lost his words after saying a few words and could no longer say anything. Zuo Yizheng Jin Lusu was so angry that his beard shook, thinking that this fool!

Speaking of the early Maoshan Town was also called Maoshan Wanhu Fort, which was originally a key fort under Huining Town; and as Liu Taigong said, Maoshan Wanhu Fort was not on the Tumen River at that time, but was located north of Funing Town. Until the second half of the 15th century, the fort was always in place and had no change. With the rise of Nurhaci, all the Jurchen tribes in the Tumen River Basin, including the Laotu tribe, were recruited to the north of the Tumen River. After evacuating the place where they lived, the southern bank of the middle reaches of the Tumen River was left uncovered for more than half a century.

So Li Chao felt that his opportunity had come, so he announced, "This is my land. If the enemy comes, he will avoid it, and if the enemy goes, he will live there. Since he is limited to the river, even if he is outside the Great Wall and within the river, he will know that it is not his land."

In the 13th year of the Kangxi reign, the Li Dynasty took advantage of the Qing Dynasty's busy dealing with the "Three Feudal Rebellion" and first moved Maoshan Fort to the "Sanfengping" by the river. Ten years later, it was upgraded to the Protectorate, thus completing the final establishment of Maoshan.

So don’t think that later generations steal Chinese culture because of inferiority. They have a tradition of hundreds of years of history. They have stolen territory. It’s considered a bad thing to steal some culture from you!

The problem is that in the 13th year of Kangxi, Yongli, the last emperor of the Southern Ming Dynasty, had been dead for twelve years. Where did the Li Dynasty go to seek imperial edict?

The attitude of these people in Beihai Town made the Li Dynasty mission very badly. They all looked as if they were ashen, and they knew they had encountered a tough problem. However, what surprised Jin Lusu and others was that, whether they were well-educated, Wang Zhong or Liu Taigong, after they joined Beihai Town, they became arrogant and had a lot of money? Could it be that they were infected by King Zhao?

That King Zhao is also. As Chengxu, the Central Plains dynasty, it is appropriate not to compete with the small country for a sized land!

In fact, what he didn't know was that Zhao Xin and other time travelers led the North Navy to fight in the east and west over the years, often in order to safeguard territorial sovereignty. In the past few years, whether it is the various departments, army, industry, mining, schools, and even rural areas of Beihai Town, they have been repeatedly promoted through easy-to-understand forms such as radio and opera. The purpose is to instill the awareness of territorial sovereignty in the people under their rule, and then form a modern concept of state.

The reason why Yu Deli allowed scholars who were trained in administrative schools to enter the negotiation group was to allow these scholars who were deeply educated in Confucian tradition to understand and accept the border consciousness of Beihai Town - that is, territorial sovereignty, and to influence and drive more scholars through them.

The first lessons taught by those scholars who entered administrative schools were sovereignty and territory, and Yu Deli personally taught them. He went from the "benevolent government in Mencius" to the "theory of border theory" in "The Book of Han"... Basically, he has sifted all the positive and negative examples of border territories in all dynasties.

You should know that one of the biggest flaws in China's traditional border consciousness is the so-called "family world" or "the imperial court world". After all, maintaining one's own ruling stability is more important than anything else. This is why Shi Jingtang was able to ced the "Sixteen Prefectures of Yanyun" at will, and why the fortitude of another time and space can say "I would rather be with a friendly country than to a slave."

Wang Zhong and his friends' speeches at the negotiating table were actually instructed by Zhao Xin and deduced in advance, so they were reasonable and well-founded, and Li Chao was in a hurry.

Zhao Xin's move was intended to express an attitude to China's neighboring countries, that is, there will be no more saying that "the Celestial Empire will not compete for a small country for a sized land" in the future, and there will be no foreign relations structure between the central dynasty and the foreign vassal.
