Chapter Nine hundred and forty-eight: Escape from Sick Jiao 22(1/2)

Yingqian didn't hear what he said clearly.

When I was about to ask again, the library door was suddenly pushed open.

Edward walked in and saw Ying Qian and Yan Cheng there. He was not surprised at all and only said to them warmly:

"Do you have time? I have something I want to talk to you about."

He was obviously talking to a child.

But he still had a gentle and consultative tone.

I have no intention of forcing them.

Yingqian blinked and asked subconsciously:

"Olivia got a chicken bone stuck in her throat?"

"He is no longer a three-year-old baby, and he will not do this."

Edward laughed, patted Yingqian's head lovingly, and explained:

"Tomorrow night, I will take you, Olivia, and Nora to Mr. Claire's house as a guest."

"Mr. Clare?"

Yingqian raised her eyebrows, continued to look innocent, and asked softly:

"Did they invite us to play?"

"Yes, Mrs. Claire likes you and Olivia very much, and her impression of Yan Cheng is very good."

Halfway through the words.

Edward's voice paused, and when he spoke again, his tone became more helpless.

"As for Nora, she doesn't seem to be happy that I took you to the town. She has been in a bad mood. She hid and cried secretly just now. I think taking her there with me can make her feel better."

Children are so difficult to coax.

If anyone is happy, someone else will make a fuss.

There was nothing Edward could do.

In order to coax Nora, he could only take her with him to the Claire and his wife's home as a guest.

Yingqian looked at his helpless look, blinked, and said in a sweet voice:

"Okay, I understand."

"Yingqian is so good."

Edward was worried that Nora would make Yingqian unhappy again if he went with him.

But luckily.

She still looks innocent and cute.

There is no trace of temper.

Edward was satisfied and grateful to her.

Seeing Ying Qian's raised hair on her temples, he leaned down and wanted to smooth it down for her.

Yan Cheng suddenly approached, held Yingqian's wrist, and said softly:

"Going back."

He treated Edward like air.

Not even a hello or farewell.

But Edward didn't care, he just smiled and nodded at Yingqian.

"Remember to wear new clothes tomorrow. That dress suits you very well."

"I know."

Before Ying Qian was led out by Yan Cheng, she did not forget to wave to Edward.

Although in the next second, Edward disappeared from his sight.

"I have to go out tomorrow."

Yingqian yawned, lowered his eyes lazily, and said somewhat sleepily:

"Yan Cheng, I shouldn't be detained today, right?"

"You didn't do anything wrong, of course you won't"

There was no one else around, so Yan Cheng slowed down and walked side by side with Yingqian.

The children were all in the dormitory, savoring the smell of turkey legs.

The nun should be preparing lunch at this time, and Edward was left behind.

In the quiet corridor, the only sound was their footsteps.

And because it's too close.

Even the sound of breathing can be faintly detected.

But this feeling is actually not bad, it can even be called good.

At least staying by Yan Cheng's side can make Yingqian feel...

Stable?

Or familiar?

She doesn't quite understand.

Before thinking any further.

He was interrupted again by the sound of hurried footsteps.

"Sister Yingying!"

Olivia poked her head out from the corridor on the other side, and when she saw Yingqian, he almost burst into cheers.

"Do you understand? The dean will take us out tomorrow!"

Ying Qian sighed.

She didn't know whether she was happy or disappointed, but she glanced at Yan Cheng, and her voice became strange unknowingly.

"Um, I'll go there first?"

It's really not Yingqian's style to be awkward in front of a child.

Say it again.

That turkey leg was what she brought to Yan Cheng.

However, he was the only one who was worried about whether she had eaten it and gave it to her.

The feeling of being missed is never wrong.

Yingqian's heart, which had just hardened up, became softer inexplicably.

She cleared her throat and said roughly:

"I'm going to find Olivia, see you later!"

Leave this sentence behind.

Yingqian turned around and ran away.

Passing by Olivia, I didn't forget to drag him with me.

Under the smiling gaze behind him.

They quickly disappeared.

"What's wrong with Yan Cheng?"

Olivia didn't understand.

But there is no need to wait for Yingqian to reply.

He had already continued talking with excitement on his face.

"What do you think the Clare couple's home will be like? They look very noble and wealthy, and they should live in a big house, right? I wonder if we still have turkey legs to eat?"

All he could think about was turkey legs.

Even if I have to go to Claire and his wife's house, I only think about what I can eat.

Yingqian listened to Olivia's excited chatter, but she only thought about where Gabriel would come.

The mysteries that have surrounded her since she came into this world.

It's time to unravel some of it.

Maybe Yingqian's luck has finally gotten better.
