10, Summon Windsor again

After arranging a new job for his housekeeper, Sean left the residence alone and came to the street in front of the door.

The guards at the residence were originally going to follow Sean to protect him, but Sean declined with the excuse of "I'm just walking around because I'm upset, and I'll be back soon."

Sean was quite familiar with the street in front of his residence. After all, he had only seen this through the window in the past two days.

The time now is about eight o'clock in the morning, and there are not many pedestrians on the road.

As he walked on the street, Sean paid attention to whether there was anyone following him behind him.

After walking on the street for a short time and making sure no one was following him, Sean ducked into an alley.

The remote alleys were deserted.

Taking advantage of the fact that no one was around, Sean immediately focused his attention on the "summon" button next to Windsor.

Three seconds later, Windsor appeared in front of Sean again. At this time, he still maintained the posture in front of the system that Sean had taken back, and he was still saying: "…system?"

Seeing the sudden change in the scene in front of him, Windsor opened his mouth in surprise.

Sean really wanted to know what happened during the period when Windsor was taken back into the system, so he asked:

"Wendsall, where have you been for the past hour? Or what have you been feeling?"

Windsor looked around in shock. The cold alley was completely different from the one at Sean's residence before.

After calming down, Windsor said: "An hour? Where is an hour? Didn't we just chat in the same room? Why did I suddenly appear here?"

After hearing Windsor's words, Sean immediately understood that the flow rate of time in the system should be 0, or the followers taken back by the system could not feel the flow of time.

"Wendsor, it's like this. In fact, more than an hour has passed in the real world." Sean explained.

"Really?" Windsor's face showed a mixture of disbelief and confusion.

"of course it's true……"

In the next few minutes, Sean told Windsor everything he had experienced in the past hour or so.

It is worth mentioning that while Sean was chatting with Windsor, several gangster-looking people passed by him.

Seeing that there were only two people, these gangsters originally wanted to rob, but after looking at Sean's noble clothes and Windsor's sword, shield and full body armor, they left hesitantly.

...

After talking for a full 5 minutes, Sean finished telling his experience.

Windsor couldn't help but sigh after hearing Sean's experience:

"Alas, the situation in the territory is much worse than imagined. Although we have five years of tax exemption, the impact of the territory being occupied by jackals is too serious.

Many residents in the town were killed by jackals, and the remaining residents who escaped death may not be willing to return to the town. The town's vitality may not recover for several years."

"We can only take it one step at a time." Sean also sighed, "I summoned you this time because I want you to help me."

"Just ask!" Windsor perked up when he heard that Sean was going to assign a task to him.

Sean made arrangements while thinking:

"Let's do this. You first go to the Mercenary Guild and help me investigate the four major mercenary groups in Yoen City to see which mercenary group is most suitable to permanently station in our territory.

When choosing a mercenary group, you don’t necessarily need to choose the strongest one, but the one with the best reputation and character. After all, we are weak and we cannot allow the mercenary group to have the opportunity to overwhelm us.

I don’t know where the mercenary guild is, so you can ask the local residents to find out.”

"No problem!" Windsor replied confidently.

After all, he was the marshal of the Stormwind Kingdom in his previous life, and he has some experience in reading, recognizing people, and understanding other people's character through some small actions.

"Yeah." Sean nodded and continued: "Focus on the Blazing Cross Mercenary Group... After investigating the mercenary group, go to the refugee camp in the south of the city to find the refugees in Hetan Town, and try to get in touch with them.

Go in the middle.

I will go to the refugee camp to visit these refugees in the afternoon. I will choose some young and strong people to serve as guards. Then you will naturally join me.

Without further ado, let’s go now.”

"But I'm not with you, what about your safety?" Windsor asked.

"Don't worry about this. I will bring my bodyguard with me when I go out in the future. My personal safety is still guaranteed."

"Then I'll leave. We'll meet at the refugee camp in the afternoon." After Windsor said that, he walked toward the alley.

"Bah...baah." After Windsor walked up, he made the sound of armor rubbing against his body.

Sean looked at Windsor's armor, thoughtfully.

"Wait!" Sean called Windsor.

"Any other instructions?" Windsor turned around, and what came face to face was a money bag.

Windsor waved his hand and subconsciously caught the money bag.

This money bag was carried by Sean, but there were not many gold coins in it, only a dozen.

"Go buy some civilian clothes and change into them. How can you sneak into a refugee camp dressed like this? Buy some food and take it with you when you go to the refugee camp. Don't let anyone starve to death while I'm still in the refugee camp."

...

After saying goodbye to Windsor, Sean walked towards his residence.

Sean discovered a few gangsters while chatting with Windsor just now, which shows that this place is quite unsafe.

Because gangsters usually only come out in the evening. At that time, roadside vendors have made a lot of money from doing business for a day, and can receive more "protection fees."

But now I actually saw gangsters at 8 o'clock in the morning, and these gangsters also wanted to attack the nobles, which showed that the security here was much worse than imagined.

Originally, Sean wanted to wander around the city alone, but now that Windsor has left and he has no means to save his life, it would be better to go back to his residence and call the guards.

...

After separating from Windsor, Sean walked towards the residence.

During this period, Sean never turned off the system panel, but stared at the [Cancel Summon] button next to Windsor's card.

When Windsor was about ten meters away from him, the [Cancel Summon] button turned gray. It seemed that after a certain distance, he could no longer use the system to recall Windsor.

"Oh, there is such a restriction." Sean sighed.

Originally, after knowing that the [Cancel Summon] button could recall a follower to the system, Sean imagined that, for example, if he were in River Town, he would place a follower in Jon City, and then use the system to instantly recall it.

This operation can play a huge role in creating time differences in wars.

But in just a few seconds, the system completely shattered Sean's dream.
