44, buy books

Not long after, the carriage Sean was riding in arrived at the steps of the Magic Guild.

After giving instructions to the captain of the guard, John, Sean walked into the Magic Guild alone.

There are very few people coming in and out of the Magic Guild now. Most magicians prefer to stay in the Magic Academy where the power of the elements is strong. In addition, it is noon now, so the door of the Magic Guild is very deserted.

After Sean walked into the library in the guild, he didn't rush to read a book, but came to the front desk of the library.

Sean really wanted to take another look at the librarian girl he met last time, because she looked so much like Jessica River.

But when Sean came to the front desk, he found that the person standing at the front desk was not the girl he saw yesterday, but a young male magician of seventeen or eighteen years old. This made Sean stunned for a moment.

Naturally, the young magician also saw Sean. After noticing Sean's aristocratic clothing, he said respectfully: "Sir, do you have anything to consult?"

"Oh, it's nothing... Where is the librarian who was standing here yesterday? Is she not here today?" Sean asked.

"The person on duty yesterday was..." The young magician thought for a moment and replied: "The person on duty here yesterday was Vivian. Is she the one you are talking about?"

"I don't know her name either, I just remember that she has long fiery red hair." Sean replied.

The young magician immediately laughed when he heard Sean's words: "Fire red hair? Then you must be talking about Vivian!"

She and I have the same instructor. Although we are not at the same level and have never met each other, I am still impressed by her hair color.

Vivian was on duty here yesterday, and as usual, she should go back to the Magic Academy directly early this morning.

The next time she comes, it may be a month later."

Sean suddenly became interested when he heard the young magician's words: "So, you are all students of Yon Magic Academy?"

"Yes, we come to the library to take turns on duty. Not only can we read books, but we can also earn a lot of credits." The young magician answered honestly.

"You and she have the same mentor, so do you know what relationship she has with Earl River?" Sean asked hurriedly.

"I'm not sure about this. The identity of every student in the Magic Academy is kept secret. This is the rule of the Magic Academy." The young magician glanced at Sean suspiciously.

"You don't like her, do you?

Vivian's magic ability is very outstanding in the academy, and many outstanding magicians are pursuing her. I think you will most likely have no chance."

The young magician is very outspoken and straightforward.

Sean resisted the urge to roll his eyes at the young magician and explained: "No, I just saw that she looks like a friend of mine, so I just asked."

Although it was a bit regretful not to see Vivian, Sean didn't take it to heart.

From the description of this young magician, it is obvious that Vivian and Jessica River are not the same person. It may be a coincidence that they look very similar.

So Sean put Vivian's matter behind him and asked the young magician another question: "By the way, I have one more thing to ask you. Are the books in the library for sale?"

Sean wanted to buy some books to take back to the territory to read. After all, entertainment facilities in this world are still very lacking, and reading books is the only way to pass the time at night.

"The books here are divided into originals and manuscripts.

Originally it was not for sale, but all manuscripts can be sold, and the one I got is a manuscript."

The young magician took the book in his hand and showed it to Sean on the cover, and said: "The cover of the manuscript has the circular logo of Yon Magic Academy, and behind the logo is the price of each book."

"So that's it, thank you very much! I'm going to look for the book I want to buy now, so I'll take my leave now."

After Sean said goodbye to the young magician, he walked into the library and started looking for books that he was interested in, intending to pick some and buy them to take back to the territory.

...

An hour later, Sean walked out of the Magic Guild.

At this time, the captain of the guard, John, was standing at the door looking boredly at the scenery in the distance. When he saw Sean walking out of the Magic Guild, he was surprised and hurriedly walked to Sean's side.

"Your Highness Sean, didn't you say you wanted to stay in the Magic Guild all afternoon? Why did you come out so quickly?"

"I purchased more than thirty books in the library and put them all at the front desk. Please help me move all these books to the carriage." Sean ordered the captain of the guard, John.

"no problem!"

After John, the captain of the guard, answered, he went to the front desk of the library and moved all the books that Sean had placed at the front desk of the library in two batches and placed them on the carriage.

Sean didn't do anything, he just stood at the door of the Magic Guild with a book he just bought and started reading.

The nobles of the Principality of Lane refused to do manual labor, and Sean was not suitable to move the books himself, so he had to leave it to the captain of the guard, John.

...

After moving more than thirty books onto the carriage, the captain of the guard, John, raised his head and said to Sean, who was still standing on the steps reading:

"Your Highness Sean, I have finished moving. Do you want to continue reading here, or should we go back together?"

"Let's go back, these books are enough for me to read." Sean closed the books and walked down the steps and came to the side of the carriage.

When Sean passed by John, the captain of the guard, Sean handed a gold coin to John: "This is for your hard work these two days, don't be too little."

John laughed happily when he saw the gold coin, and accepted it without refusing: "Of course not, thank you, His Highness Sean!"

John's favorability towards Sean instantly improved a lot.

His Highness did not treat him as arrogantly as other nobles, and even gave him a gold coin as a favor. Such generous nobles are rare in the city of Yohn!

Suddenly, the captain of the guard, John, began to envy Windsor. If he became Sean's captain of the guard, would Sean give him more salary?

But John was just thinking about it, he didn't have the guts to betray Earl River.

Sean didn't know John's inner thoughts, so he stepped directly onto the carriage and told the driver to go back to his residence.

After the captain of the guard, John, also got on the carriage, the carriage drove towards the residence in the civilian area.

...

After returning to his residence, Sean sat in the study and read the book he just bought from the Magic Guild, and continued to increase his experience points by reading books.

Although chatting with Matthew is the fastest way to gain experience now, Sean gave up this idea after judging that Matthew might be a strong man above the peak of the gold level.

A peak gold-level powerhouse is a hit even among the Earl of River, but now Matthew is pretending to be an ordinary silver-level powerhouse and has been in the Principality of Lane for many years. What is he doing for?

Before knowing Matthew's purpose, Sean didn't want to get too close to Matthew, lest he be implicated in something big.
