Chapter 24 I Have a Premonition I'm Late
Chapter 24 I have a premonition of being late
"This is really...unexpected."
Craft finished reading the letter in person and handed it to the curious Lucius.
They were sitting in Professor Kalman's room, the one who had the three of them enjoyed the marigold tea and cookies when Craft first came. While Craft was looking at the letter, Lucius boiled a pot of water on the small stove and added two new marigold tea to the table, but he failed to find the professor's honey jar.
After staying in the castle for a month, Craft was finally rushed back by his grandfather and officially took office. After arriving, he rested in the hotel for a night. The next day he was about to come to the college to ask about the details first and then consider long-term housing.
Not long after he entered medical school, he was called out by a student he didn't know, who claimed to be Lucius's friend. As early as seven days ago, Lucius told them that he would notify him when he saw the words of lecturer Craft.
Craft followed the student through the twisty corridors of the medical school, stepped on the hovering steps, through several arches, and finally found Lucius in the professor's private room, worried about a table of paper.
I have to say that this building in the Medical School is quite complicated, and it is not the first time I have come here. It may be because of the meaningless decorative columns and too many covers. Each floor has used different space allocations, and it feels that the path I take is different every time.
After bringing Craft to the place, the student said goodbye. Lucius put down half of the paper he had sorted out, took out a formal letter sealed with a varnish from the inner pocket of the black robe, and handed it to the confused Craft with the excitement after waiting for a long time.
"Minister Kalman trusts your talent and enthusiasm in this area." Lucius couldn't wait to write it on his face, "Since we have two people now, we can continue to improve our research on black liquor as the mentor's arrangements before he returns."
"Thank you Professor Kalman for your trust, but I'm still a little confused." Craft reached into the bottom of the envelope and touched a copper key. It seemed that he didn't have to consider housing for the time being.
Although we met for a while, Professor Kalman seemed to be optimistic about him and was willing to share such important things. He also handed over the precious samples and experimental results to himself. Craft was very moved by this and could do his best to help, which was completely reasonable.
According to the description in the letter, it was hard for him to imagine what this thing that has almost been confirmed as "black liquid" corresponds to his own knowledge system.
White liquid can be considered cerebrospinal fluid; yellow liquid basically corresponds to bile; red liquid is naturally blood. But what this black liquid is really confusing. And according to the meaning of the letter, they are probably extracted from some tissue in the human body, and after extraction, they can still be stored and retained for a long time.
What's even more outrageous is that I don't know if the container is strong or the thing has been stable to an outrageous level, but I actually sent someone to take it from Dunling to Wendeng Port? This so-called "suppression" nature makes Craft's question mark, and I guess it's time to see the detailed experimental records to know.
"So, according to the letter, this thing we now consider to be "black liquid" is indeed extracted from the human body."
This scene is hard for Craft to imagine. What does "extract" from the human body mean? Here, this word is generally used to make another liquid from liquids such as medicine, alcohol, and by heating and distillation, or leaving it still. The second half of "Human Hydrology" prefers it, but it is used in medicine juice and decoction to take some ingredients to give people to drink to "regulate body fluid balance".
Anyway, it doesn't feel right.
"I remember the professor said that the church over there was very strict management and would not have the opportunity to do such things." Craft said. The professor had complained to him before that Dunling had no idea about anatomy, and it was all because of the church's huge influence over there.
"I don't know either." Lucius didn't care about this. After all, he has been studying in Wendeng Port, and he followed Professor Kalman again. It's not a big deal to find a body for a secret dissection. "I mean Professor Morrison, I'm not an ordinary person at Dunling University. Is there always a way? The supervisor hasn't been back to Dunling for a long time. He should have found a solution there over the years."
Craft used his strong memory and thought about it again, but still couldn't figure out how to make such a liquid in the human body.
He strongly suspected that it was the instrument problem, which led them to accidentally make some toxic liquid. Maybe it was a heavy metal in the raw materials used to make glass instruments, and it was mixed in during the heating process. Then, Professor Morrison, who had no sense of experimental safety, fed the sample to the animals, or simply took a bite by himself in his fearless spirit.
If the explanation is made, heavy metals or other neurotoxic things are stuffed in one mouthful, then the central nervous system inhibition will come. It may be a series of symptoms such as dizziness and weakness, which will soon be reflected in animals and humans.
If it is done, isn’t this a strong inhibitory effect?
"Uh, Lucius, before going to see the real thing, I would like to ask how many that thing is and what to use for?" Craft carefully observed Lucius's appearance and evaluated his mental state. Apart from being a little excited, there was no problem for the time being.
Lucius gestured with his hand the size of the thumb and index finger circled: "It's just like this, a round glass bottle, brown, with only one bottom inside. When the professor was experimenting, he dipped it out with a small stick and dissolved it in water.
Why don't I take you directly to see the sample, the sample is in the basement of the college. We dissolve a little in a glass of water, and people will fall into a deep sleep after a small sip."
"You're going to give it to others?" Craft was shocked. At most, he knew that the fierce operation of swallowing Helicobacter pylori was a bit small compared to this.
"No, it's just that my mentor and I took turns to try it. No one here knows its existence." Lucius's focus was obviously completely different from CRATT. He excitedly reached out to CRATT to see the red dots above, "It's very magical, just a little, and after drinking it, you will fall asleep immediately, even your heartbeat and breathing will slow down. You can't wake up with a needle. You will wake up after about a day, and you have no idea what happened during this period."
"Hmm?!" This operation was completely beyond CRF's imagination. The most courageous record he had in his two lives was mostly in high school chemistry classes, because he was curious to smell the gas made by his group.
If you try a sip of unknown liquid that you have been sleeping for a day, or drink it in turn. This behavior is the same as the gambling in Russian roulette, and it is even worse than that. If you do this, you can whisper to Meng Po before drinking the soup at Qiaotou, and the devil in hell will look at him with admiration when he sees it.
"Sit down quickly." Craft pressed Lucius onto the chair, "I'll check it out, don't ask why."
While touching Lucius and knocking him over, he asked him intensively: "How long ago did you drink it? How many times did you drink it? Are there any changes in your heartbeat and breathing after losing consciousness? Are there any discomfort after waking up? How are you mentally? Have you changed your appetite? Are you sleeping well? Are you urinating and defecating?"
"No, everything is normal." Lucius was shocked by his sudden seriousness. "According to "Human Hydrology", as long as the liquid in the human body does not tend to change to black liquid, a small amount of temporary black liquid increases will be a temporary change. The professor is fine, how can a younger person like me have problems?"
"Nonsense!" Craft gave him a physical examination from head to toe, and there seemed to be nothing obvious abnormalities. The simple examination did not relieve him, but instead became even more vigilant.
A very small amount, the oral administration takes effect quickly, and the pain is unconscious for a day, and the pain cannot be awakened. He was a little suspicious and even began to wonder if Lucius's current excitement was expected to continue the experiment, or the manifestation of mild personality changes and mental abnormalities.
Craft took two steps back and looked at Lucius again, his eyes swept over him from head to toe. From his brown hair, his slightly pale face, to his hands tied with a few red dots, finally looking at the paper he was sorting out when he came in.
Light yellow paper covers most of the desktop, most of the handwriting on it is a bit sloppy without losing its aesthetic sense, and the layout is more casual. The font sizes on different papers are different, so should they be written together? Some have been stacked together, and the rest are scattered around in chaos, so they can only mislead the tea cups that are wearing barley tea on the edge.
“What are these?”
