Chapter 26 Investigation

Mrs. White also heard the question, "What happened to the photo? What club is Alyssa dancing at?"

White lowered his head, as if it was difficult to speak.

"Take off the Yi Club." The deputy team member made it clear directly. In his opinion, Alyssa's disappearance is probably related to her career, and this layer of window paper must be broken.

"What? How could Alyssa go back to a place like that!" Mrs. White asked loudly, sobbing softly, "My poor daughter...what happened?

Is that the club that forces my daughter to dance?”

Luke asked, "Why do you have this idea? Has she ever mentioned it?"

"No, but I don't believe my daughter would do such a thing. I'm a teacher, and that's not how I teach her..."

Luke looked at White again, "Mr. White, where did you put those photos?"

"I burned them all. I don't want others to see that kind of photo. I can't accept it."

"Have you talked to Alyssa?"

"I approached her... but the conversation was not very good. I was a little excited at the time... Alyssa didn't want to talk about this topic, and in the end we broke up on bad terms.

I want to help her, but I don’t know how?”

"Do you have any suspicion about the person who posted the photo on your doorstep?"

White shook his head, "No, I can't think of anyone who would do such an immoral thing."

"Do you still have the bag with the photos?"

"I burned it."

Luke was quite excited when he heard that someone posted a photo. This person is likely to be related to the case. As long as the photo or bag can be found, there is a chance to mention biological traces.

But White burned it all, which was equivalent to cutting off this clue.

Luke sent Mr. and Mrs. White out of the office, promising to notify them as soon as possible if there was any news about Alyssa.

After Mr. and Mrs. White left.

The deputy said to Luke, "What do you think of the person who sent the photo?"

Luke thought for a while, "I'm afraid this person has bad intentions. Even if he is not a suspect, he may have some connection with the case."

"You're right, so we have to go to the club again. The fact that he can take dancing photos means that he must have been to the club, and he may have had a conflict with Alyssa."

"I'll go in a moment. I'll be quieter during the day and make a formal note for my boss." Luke turned around and asked, "David, you won't refuse this time, right?"

David stood up and picked up the car keys from the table, "What are you waiting for?"

Marcus' eyes flickered, looking at Luke and David, "If you need it, I can go with you."

"No, I don't want to take you with me." David refused simply.

David threw the car keys to Luke, "The old horse knows the way, you drive it."

Half an hour later, the two arrived at the Ball Club.

Different from the hustle and bustle at night, it seems a bit deserted now.

Before the club door opened, Luke knocked on the door, "Bang bang..."

The door was halfway open, and a big black man glanced at Luke and said, "It's not open yet. Come back in the evening."

Luke showed his police badge, "I'm Detective Luke, looking for Paul."

The big man was stunned for a moment, "What's the matter with you?"

Luke raised his eyebrows, "Are you sure you want to know?"

"Wait." The big black man finished his sentence and prepared to close the door.

Luke held the door open with his right hand, "I want to go in and wait."

The big black man was reluctant. After a moment of confrontation, he gave up.

Luke entered the club. It was empty and quiet. He didn't bother to go backstage. He just pulled up a chair and sat down. "I kind of regret it. We should come at night."

"Jingle Bell……"

Luke's cell phone rang.

Luke glanced at the screen that showed Daisy's number, hesitated for a moment, and pressed the answer button, "Hello."

"Luke, do you have time tonight? Let's have a drink together."

"Sorry, I'm a bit busy today and may not have time tonight."

"OK, let's make an appointment another day."

Luke hung up the phone.

David smiled and said, "That Daisy again?"

Luke nodded slightly.

"Aren't you quite interested in her? Why don't you go? Don't say you have to work overtime. I won't believe it."

"I can't say, let's wait and see." Daisy's appearance is indeed the type that Luke likes, but he is not sure what Daisy thinks.

If Daisy also liked him, he would be happy to drink with her, but if it was because of gratitude or a case, Luke wouldn't find it interesting.

However, Daisy's initiative to treat her to a drink is a good start. Even if Daisy is confused next time, Luke will have an excuse to return the invitation.

"Wow... isn't this Officer Luke? I didn't expect to meet again so soon." Paul walked out from the backstage with a twist.

"Hi, Paul, this is Inspector David, we need to make a transcript for you."

"Officer Luke, I told you everything I know last night. Is it necessary to do it again?"

Luke made a gesture of invitation, motioning for the other party to sit down and said, "Last night, we just came to understand the situation, and we didn't even know if Alyssa left her job normally or if something unexpected happened.

Now we can basically confirm that something bad happened to Alyssa and we need targeted inquiries."

"You mean, Alyssa was indeed kidnapped?"

"It's possible."

"That is to say, the resignation text message on Saturday was not sent by her herself."

"Very likely."

Paul pulled out a chair and sat down, "Oh, that's terrible. She's a very nice person and shouldn't have to suffer this kind of thing.

If the resignation text message was not sent by her, she is still my employee now.

I am responsible for her, just ask."

Luke turned on the law enforcement recorder, "How long has Alyssa been working here?"

"Four months."

"Do you remember it so clearly?"

"After you left last night, I took a look at her file."

"I'll take her files away later."

"Can I say no?"

"No."

Paul spread his hands and said, "Then what else is there to say?"

"How did Alyssa apply for a job at your club?"

“We usually have three recruitment methods, one is introduction by acquaintances, the other is posting advertisements at the door of the club, and we also have a club website through which we recruit.

She belonged to the third type. She signed up online and sent a few photos. I thought it was OK, so I asked her to come for the interview.

She’s really great and a lot of guests here love her.”

"Why did she apply for this job?"

"I didn't ask, but it's probably because of money. No one would come to dance in a place like this just for fun. Except me, of course." Paul swayed his body.

Luke "..."

"Is Alyssa in trouble here?"

"We have bodyguards in the venue, and they are not just freeloaders."

Luke asked in a different way, "Are there any clients who particularly like her, who are particularly fanatical and get what they ask for?"

"Is this wrong? Are your police officers too lenient?" Paul said perfunctorily. He would not betray his clients easily.

The customer is God.

Customers have to pay money when they come in, but the police don't.

Especially when that nigga tried to pick up a club dancer last night, bad guy.

"Through investigation, we found that someone secretly took photos of Alyssa dancing and sent them to Alyssa's father. Is this kind of thing allowed by your club?"

"No, I always pay attention to protecting the privacy of dancers. Photography is not allowed in our club."

"Obviously someone violated your rules. Alyssa's disappearance is probably related to this matter. Do you still think it is a minor matter?
