Chapter 526 Exploration(2/2)

After determining the direction, the four of them walked forward for more than 20 minutes and finally walked out of the rain forest.

Lilith let out a sigh of relief, "I really want to take a bath now."

Luke climbed up to a higher rock, pointed to the south and said, "It's just ahead."

I saw a small lake appearing in the direction Luke was pointing, about the size of a football field. This is also an obvious marking point on the treasure map.

Everyone walked around the lake with some curiosity. The water was not very clear, but looked a bit turbid.

The girl with glasses squatted by the lake, took out a palm-sized instrument and put one end into the water.

"Didi..." The instrument rang, flashing red light. The girl with glasses frowned and said, "The water contains a lot of minerals and may even contain toxic substances, so it is not suitable for drinking." She looked at Li who was aside.

Liz, "I suggest you go back to the yacht and take a bath."

Elsa Marin touched the water in the lake with her right hand and said, "There is no clear water suitable for drinking. Perhaps this is why there are no human traces on the island."

Lilith touched her smooth chin and said, "From the photos taken by the drone, it doesn't look like an island formed by a volcano. Why does the water contain a lot of minerals?"

Luke pointed forward, "Go to the source of the water and you may be able to find the answer."

Everyone walked along the lake. The source was a creek less than two feet wide. The creek meandered up and extended to the east side.

Everyone walked along the creek. There was a rocky road in front of them, which was a little smooth. Fortunately, the slope was not too steep, so there was no need to use a mountaineering pickaxe.

Elsa Marin was still leading the way. She suddenly stopped and pointed ahead, "There is a hole there, and the stream flows out of the hole."

The four of them walked to the entrance of the cave. It was relatively dark inside. Some people turned on their headlights, and some held strong flashlights to shine into the cave.

The entrance of the cave is narrow, the interior of the cave is deep and winding, with gurgling underground water and round stalactites above it.

The girl with glasses showed a look of sudden realization, "No wonder the water quality here exceeds the standard. It turns out to be a cave. Now that we understand the reason, should we leave and continue looking for treasures."

Luke shined a strong flashlight into the depths of the cave and said, "Why are you leaving? Isn't this natural cave a good place to hide treasure?"

Lilith echoed, "Luke is right, there is no more suitable place to hide the treasure than here."

The girl with glasses looked at the dark cave and said, "It's so eerie here, I don't like it very much."

Lilith asked back, "Then do you like gold bricks?"

The girl with glasses changed her face instantly, "Oh, I suddenly feel...it's not insurmountable."

Elsa Marin didn't say anything nonsense, she shined her bright flashlight forward, "I will lead the way.

The cave is connected in all directions and it's easy to get lost, so follow me closely."

The biggest feature of the cave is that it is strange. Not only are there stalactites of various shapes, but the terrain is also very strange. It is like an eroded honeycomb with nine twists and turns. The narrow places have to be turned sideways to pass, and the wide places are like squares.

Luke instinctively increased his vigilance in unfamiliar environments. In order to prevent him from getting lost, he would draw a mark every time he walked.

The cave is deeper than expected. After walking for seven or eight minutes, I still can't see the end. The front is getting wider and wider. The creek that was only two feet before has turned into a bottomless pool. You can feel it when walking next to it.

There was a chill, and the surrounding temperature dropped a bit.

"Wow..."

Elsa Marin heard a sound in the pool, stopped, and looked to the pool on the left. A strong flashlight shone in the pool. The water was turbid and the visibility was less than three feet.

"Wow..."
