Chapter 15 Elf Camp

The team stopped, and everyone breathed in big mouthfuls like fish leaving the water. The demon hunter Gangze pulled out the white wolf's claws and stood in front of the team.

Xu Yichen felt his wounds start to bleed again, his hair was wet against his forehead. He silently prepared for battle, and stood beside the demon hunter with a dagger in his hand. All the people in the team who could stand up tightly held their weapons.

Everyone looked nervously at the direction of the sound, waiting for the final judgment. And as the sound of horse hooves gradually approached and became clearer, the moonlight fell from the treetops, the stars began to shine, and the fog quickly dispersed, as if the thick fog just now was just an illusion.

A team of knights appeared from the front and slowly slowed down. Moonlight and starlight shone on them. Each knight rode a white horse, wearing silver armor, with long golden hair and pointed ears exposed from the special eagle-headed helmet. Their team marched like flowing water, quickly surrounding the embarrassing human team.

Xu Yichen heard Ted behind him grow a mouthful like a leaky bellows. Sir Gangze also rushed down the tip of his sword and bowed his chest to greet him: "I am the demon hunter Gangze. Which team of the elf tribe is coming?"

The knight in charge left the team and stopped in front of the witch hunter. The elf took off his helmet, and his silky blonde hair spilled down. His perfectly proportioned face was so handsome that only when he saw those sharp eyes could people know that this was a war-ridden warrior.

The Demon Hunter smiled rare, and the elf's voice also sounded: "I'm glad to see you again, Demon Hunter Gangze."

"Legoras, long time no see." The demon hunter put away his sword and walked forward. The elf jumped off his horse. The two patted each other's right arm and said greetings: "It's really time for you to come. You're almost going to catch me if you're going to hunt."

"Gangze, every time I meet you, it means that there is a big trouble to happen." The elf glanced at the embarrassing fugitives: "Are these humans reliable?"

"No problem, I stayed with them after the Chaos Gate was opened. They were all seamen from the mainland. After the ship sank, they were caught by orcs as food. Several of them were foresters at Roger's camp." The demon hunter pointed at Xu Yichen: "This is my new apprentice, very talented."

The elf's blue eyes stared at Xu Yichen, trying to find out what's special about this young man: "I thought you had made up your mind to end your tradition last time in Kelmohan."

The Demon Hunter nodded: "That's right, but he is a special situation. You may not believe it when you say it. He was still an ordinary person yesterday."

The elf seemed to be startled by the news he heard, and his delicate eyebrows couldn't help but raise his eyes: "It's really talented, okay, there's not much time, let's talk about it on the way."

The other elves knights seemed unwilling to have too much contact with humans. They just provided simple help and scattered, surrounding the human team in the middle, and slowly moving forward.

It was like a team of knights who were afraid of elves. The heavy fog that had been shrouded around everyone disappeared under the moonlight, and the strange sound of horns surrounding his ears disappeared, and the moonlight always shone on the top of the team's head.

In the middle of the elves' team, Xu Yichen sensed that the land under his feet was always flat as if they were walking on the plains, rather than in the forest. The trees on both sides would become wider than they looked as the closer the team approached. The incredible scenes around reminded Xu Yichen of the magic of the Knight's bus in the bestselling book "Harry Potter" in his previous life.

Both the elves and humans rushed on the road silently. Although the speed was slowed down by humans, the elves did not show any impatience. In the team, only the demon hunter Gangze and the elves named Legolas walked in front and whispered.

Due to the burden of the wounded, the road was intermittent for nearly one night. Due to the threat of thick fog, the human survivors gritted their teeth and persevered. The elf knights later distributed a horse to the human. Finally, a white fish belly appeared in the sky, and the elf camp arrived.

High above a hill, a vast grassland and tall trees surround the camp. The campsite is full of buildings that seem to be woven into vines, and there are several particularly huge houses, more like tree houses that grow directly on the ground, with green leaves on the surface and flowers.

The cavalry speeded up and threw away the team and entered the camp early. Only Legolas was left outside the camp. A group of human survivors looked at the demon hunter in panic, wondering if they should continue to advance into the camp.

The demon hunter Gangze looked at the elf Legolas, picked up his shoulder in dissatisfaction, waiting for the elf's explanation.

"We are about to evacuate this polluted jungle, and the elves don't want to be seen by humans." Legolas said to the Demon Hunter in a plain tone: "If it weren't for your sake, we wouldn't have brought humans back to the camp. We would part ways after the fog."

The demon hunter's expression was still serious: "I thought that the elves would at least provide some help to their allies, such as food to fill their stomachs, and the most important thing is the treatment of the wounded-"

"Elf will not disappoint the guests." A loud voice came, and Xu Yichen could not even imagine that some of the feminine elves had such a strong voice: "We are about to set off to the island in the south. My tribesmen don't like the current taste in the jungle, and it seems a bit rude."

An elderly elf man walked out of the camp. The subtle wrinkles not only did not make the elf look old, but also increased the majesty of his face. The simple light blue robe, with no decoration except the cuffs, was behind him. Several elves holding food, water and medicine were respectfully lined up on both sides.

Legolas bowed his chest and nodded to greet him, introducing to the Demon Hunter and Xu Yichen: "This is Aegrin, Aegrin Masalin, the priest of the goddess of life - Angris."

After pausing, the elf Legolas said to the priest again: "This is the demon hunter Gonze Aragon and his apprentice."

Obviously, the Elf felt that there was no need for others to introduce to the priest.

"People, please enjoy it and then rest." Pastor Eglin nodded to the Demon Hunter: "In the past few hundred years, I have heard of many of your deeds. If you have the opportunity to visit Roslorian of the Golden Forest in the future, and taste the elves' moonlight wine."

"My honor, sir." The demon hunter also respectfully saluted the elf priest.

"Because of some small traditions, we cannot let humans enter our camps. Moving will always make the house messy, I'm really sorry." Pastor Eglin said to all humans: "But the elves will ensure that this area is completely safe and you can rest assured to repair it."

Under the leadership of the elves, the survivors camped near the camp. After drinking and eating, Xu Yichen carefully cleaned his wounds. Relying on the first aid course taught in the school, Xu Yichen also helped the guards of Sildo and Roger camps to replace the gauze. He found that his wounds were almost healed.

The Demon Hunter greeted him and took Xu Yichen to meet with Pastor Aeglin alone.

—————————————————————————————————

"So, this time the Demon Hunter failed to stop the Chaos Gate from opening?" The elf priest sat in the exquisite vinewood chair and asked the Demon Hunter Gangze and Xu Yichen.

"Yes, I cooperated with the Chenxi Church and followed the traces of Chaos all the way to the Far South. After more than a month of investigation, the Knights of the Chenxi and I were trampled on, because their church felt that the Far South Colony was a pagan territory, all of them were withdrawn, leaving me alone. As a result, I was ambushed by the orcs, and all of the orcs surrendered to Chaos." The tone of the Demon Hunter could still hear a strong complaint.

The elf Legolas nodded beside him: "Sir Aegrin, I have dealt with those human religious knights before, and they are unreasonable humans."

Pastor Aegrin said to the Demon Hunter with an apology: "It's a pity that we did not detect the evil plans of the Chaos believers in advance, otherwise all this could be saved. We have too little power here, so we can only choose to leave now. Demon Hunter, there is another regret to inform you that the human camp in the forest has been destroyed."

"The Roger Camp is indeed lost." The tone of the demon hunter Gangze: "We found its burning fire."

"A new evil force came to this land. Two months ago, our patrol team found traces of sheebobs in the forest. Yesterday morning, we also found several sheebob corpses in the ruins of Camp Roger." Legolas added to the discovery of the elves: "Full armed!"

The demon hunter Gangze pondered for a while: "A fully armed she-cannibal tribe, someone has built weapons and armor for them? It's a headache..."

In fact, the Demon Hunter felt that there were not many people in the entire Far South Colony who had the power to fight against these armed sheepmen. This terrifying creature had incredible recovery ability. The damage caused by ordinary swords would heal without a trace within a few minutes. If they swallow enough food, they could even regenerate with broken limbs. A sheepmen who gained enough long enough and ate enough will become stronger, have tougher skin, and eventually grow into a sheepmen.

A large number of huge bodies, wearing strong armor, and extremely powerful she-cannibals, crushing the battlefield while swallowing the bodies of the dead, was almost everyone's nightmare.

"Evil is gathering, and the fire of civilizations in the far south is in danger of extinguishing!" Pastor Aeglin said to the Demon Hunter: "The elves hope to watch with humans before the shadows covering the far south disappear, bringing this news to the Governor of the human race, Demon Hunter, and the war is coming."

The demon hunter Gangze took Xu Yichen and greeted Pastor Aeglin and Legolas: "I will. As soon as I arrive at Anthony Harbor, I will meet the Governor immediately."

At the same time, Xu Yichen's panel prompts also: "New mission: Far South in the Storm"

"Far South in the Storm": During the conversation between the demon hunter and the elves, you learned that the Far South colony was surrounded by danger, and now you need to bring the kindness from the elves to the top of the human race. However, will the decaying nobles respond correctly?
