Chapter 2222 materials have to be exchanged for money(1/3)

The village outside Luoyang City was built in the shortest time, and the villagers moved in as soon as possible.

The building materials of this era do not have various chemical raw materials like they did in two thousand years. As long as the house is built, villagers can move in directly.

Late autumn is the season after harvest.

After late autumn, there is still a long winter.

The villagers wanted to use winter to construct the design of Cao Shuo Farm with the pasture to form a reality.

The wasteland is full of weeds, and the first thing the villagers have to deal with is to remove the weeds and then select them.

It can be used to raise cattle and sheep as dry feed and will be used until the next year.

Those who cannot raise cattle and sheep should be placed in an open space, burned with a fire, and then buried in the soil.

Cao Shu did not ask the people to use water to irrigate the wood ash, but asked them to dig out a large pit and bury it directly.

Wood ash contains a large amount of organic matter, but it has a big disadvantage. Once water is seen, the organic matter will flow away with the water.

The burned wood ash was buried in the sacred pit by the villagers, and Chen Gong arranged for people to divide the land into many small pieces.

Each piece of land is about five or six cents, and the two pieces of land are spliced together and are more than one acre.

People also dug canals along the fields.

The canal extends to a cleared flat ground.

Standing on the shore of Luoshui, Cao Shuo presided over the construction of more than ten water trucks on the shore.

The waterwheel does not require human pedaling. There is a huge windmill on the side of the waterwheel.

The windmill rotates, pulling the axle of the waterwheel, and can lead the water from the Luo River to the intersection of the canal.

But at the intersection of the canal, a house surrounded by stone was built.

It is not appropriate to say that it is a house, because it only has four walls and no roof at all.

And inside the house, there is a big deep pit.

The deep pit is connected to the canal, and there are four windmills on the side of the wall, each windmill holding something like a paddle.

As long as the windmill turns, the oars will stir in the deep pit, and no matter what is placed inside, it will be rolled over to the surface.

This deep pit is a septic tank used to discard cattle and sheep manure in the future.

It connects to the canal and to the Luo River.

The water from the Luo River flows through, stirs the cattle and sheep manure in the septic tank by stirring it up, then flows into the canal, and finally enters the fields at the edge of the canal.

Everything is ready, all people have to do is wait for spring and send cattle and sheep cubs here.

In addition to the ranch for raising cattle and sheep, Cao Shu also assigned villagers to build a row of houses.

The house has heating facilities and rows of cages.

This place will become a hatchery for poultry.

After the poultry hatched, if the weather was warm, they would be placed on the pasture and let them walk around, looking for bugs and seeds in the grass to eat.

The poultry raised in this way has delicious meat and must be kept in the cage more tightly.

Of course, people of this era do not know what raising poultry means, Cao Shu just wants the villagers to worry more.

After all, in terms of cage poultry, it also costs much more to prevent bacterial fertilization.

The ranch did not just circle it with a wooden fence like Cao Shu.

The villagers who undertake the ranch believe that it is better to build stone-built fences around the surrounding area.

Cao Shu thought about it for a while and the villagers were indeed not wrong.

There are no gaps in the walls surrounded by stones, and poultry cannot easily get out.

Especially cattle and sheep, even if they run around, they will not run outside the wall.

Standing in the new-style village under construction, Cao Shuo looked at the pastures and farms outside the village.

Chen Gong beside him said, "Lord, this is really a big deal. The government takes care of cattle, sheep and cubs, and also provides seedlings of chickens, ducks and geese. Even Luoshui is enclosed, and fish fry will be released as the lord's instructions. If everything really comes true, the villagers in this village should be rich in oil within three years."

"We have to go a long way in the future, and there are still many wars to fight. There are places where money is used everywhere." Cao Shu replied: "Punishing and exploiting the people and making the people desperate are not a good way to make money. The best way is to help the people become rich. Only when the people are rich can we collect more taxes and the treasury can be filled. It is indeed difficult to conquer the world, but it is even more difficult to conquer the world."

Turning his head to look at Chen Gong, Cao Shu smiled slightly: "We are indeed high-ranking, and the people really need to look up to us. But we should understand that if the high-ranking people do not live at the bottom, how can they show superiority? How can they show dignity? The best way to enhance the status of the high-ranking people is to let the people living at the bottom not worry about food and clothing. The most basic thing for people to live is food, clothing, housing and transportation. Only when all this is satisfied will they think of more ways to satisfy some thirsts beyond food and clothing."

"The lord can understand it." Chen Gong replied: "If the Han emperor could understand this, the Han Dynasty would not have been ruined to this point."

"Actually, the last emperor of the Han Dynasty still thought about working hard to govern the country." Cao Shuo smiled slightly: "It's a pity that the days have ended. No matter what they do, the world has rotated, and it is impossible to develop with their hearts."

Thinking of Liu Xie back then, Chen Gong couldn't help but sigh.

As the last emperor of the Han Dynasty, Liu Xie can be said to be thinking about how to make the Han family stronger again every day.

Unfortunately, he didn't know how to develop his own power, but just wanted to use the power of heroes to pacify the world, and then take over the power from the people he used.

Liu Xie’s idea is nothing more than naive.

No one will not be selfish after reaching the world, and will hand over the power to the emperor who has become a puppet.

Looking back on the past, who will have a good ending for any puppet emperor?

When the Chu and Han Dynasty were fighting, Xiang Liang asked people to find King Huai who was grazing for others from the countryside.

The naive King Huai also thought that he was the King of Chu and could command Xiang Yu, Liu Bang and others.

That's why before the Battle of Julu, King Huai arranged for Song Yi as the main general, while Xiang Yu was just the past of the deputy general.

It is precisely because of this time that he was hated by Xiang Yu.

After Xiang Yu conquered Xianyang and granted the world, King Huai, who was useless, was intercepted and killed on the way to Pengcheng.

Isn't it that Liu Xie, the last emperor of the Han Dynasty?

With the support of Dong Zhuo, he replaced the Emperor of Han from his brother Liu Bian.

After Liu Bian's death, Liu Xie's life was not stable.

He increasingly found that he had become a vassal and puppet of Dong Zhuo.

If Situ Wang Yun hadn't designed to kill Dong Zhuo in the end, he would have been replaced by Dong Zhuo as the Emperor of Han.

After Dong Zhuo's death, Liu Xie's life was not very easy.

He was controlled by Li Jue and Guo Si and became the puppet who commanded the world.

Until later, Cao Cao arrived in Chang'an and deceived Liu Xie to Xu Du with kind words.

Cao Cao never thought of becoming emperor, but he wanted to use Liu Xie's identity as emperor to control the whole world.

Anyone who was enemies of the Cao family was blamed by Liu Xie as a rebel of the Han Dynasty.

That is why Cao Cao was able to justify the attack on other heroes, gain power step by step, and finally build the foundation of the Cao family.

It is not just that Cao Shu can have today that he has a good father.

What’s more, Liu Xie made indelible contributions to the Cao family during the development of the Cao family.

Everything Liu Xie experienced actually originated from the inhumane and stupidity of the two emperors Huan Ling.

The two emperors Huan Ling were in power, and the administration was unclear. Officials from all over the country were levied and levy. In addition, in order to satisfy the requests of the two emperors, the court recruited a large amount of money from all over the country, which made the people living in misery and starving everywhere.

If it weren't for the preparations made by those two emperors, the Han Dynasty would not have been able to quickly become weak and eventually fall into the long river of history.

"The Gongtai should still remember the Yellow Turban Rebellion back then." Cao Shuo asked Chen Gong without warning.

"Of course I remember." Chen Gong replied: "If it weren't for the Yellow Turban Rebellion, Emperor Ling wouldn't have ordered the recruitment of rural braves in various places, and Cao Gong wouldn't have Chenliu recruited soldiers. It would have been turbulent for many years, and there has been no time to calm down now."

"What he said is." Cao Shuo said: "The two Emperors Huan Ling ruined the world with all kinds of holes. When Emperor Ling came, they wanted to use the heroes of the world to destroy the Yellow Turban. His idea was undoubtedly nothing wrong, but he underestimated human greed. Since he had the capital to achieve great things, who would still be willing to be a minister for others? Especially since his strength had exceeded the court, who would be willing to be instructed by others for no reason?"

"The lord is right." Chen Gong nodded and sighed: "But then he thought, if the Han Dynasty did not decline, how could the lord get the opportunity to control the world?"

"People cannot eat enough or wear warmth, and may die at any time. In that case, life and death are no different for them." Cao Shu said: "Making food may have a way to live, and not rebelling is just a way to die. If it were a public platform, what would you choose?"

Chen Gong replied: "The world is the world of the court. As a minister, of course he would rather die than rebel..."

"That's because you were born into a gentry and would never starve to death, nor would you understand the thoughts of the people." Cao Shu said: "If you are like them, you will endure starvation and cold every day, in order to survive, you will take risks."

Looking at the place where the ranch and farms were still being built, Cao Shuo continued, "If the people can wear warm food like you, some small wishes that need to be satisfied can be satisfied. What reason do they have to rebel against the court? What reason do they have to go against the court? Some people are afraid that the world will not be in chaos, and they bewitch the people, how many people are willing to pay attention?"

Cao Shu said something and nodded.

That's true when I think about it.

What the people want is very simple. Many people are alive, and they are just mediocre.

They don’t need any wealth and honor. As long as they can make them eat and wear warmly, they will never cause trouble to the world and cause trouble to the court.

As long as the court does not do what everyone in the world is angry, the whole world is not dissatisfied and wishes that the court will die and turmoil will not happen.

If the court attaches importance to the suffering of the people and wants them to live a stable life, the world will not be in chaos.

Chen Gong was still recalling what Cao Shu said.

Cao Shu asked him: "Does the livestock and poultry cubs have good contact? When can I get it here?"

"Report to the lord." Chen Gong said: "All the cubs of livestock and poultry will be sent here after spring. When the farmland is well organized, the villagers will plant wheat in the fields. After winter, the wheat seedlings will sprout and there will be some harvest next year."
