16 Remnants

At around 7 o'clock in the evening, I, Keer and He Dan, drove an off-road vehicle, quietly drove out of the Baishan Bureau station under the darkness of night and went up the mountain along the winding mountain road.

About an hour later, we arrived near a huge cave.

He Dan stopped the car, turned around and said to us, "Master, Miss Keer, we are here."

"Go!" I said.

"Okay!" said the two girls together.

We opened the door and got off the bus and arrived in front of the cave.

Under the bright moonlight, the cave was pitch black, with a gust of wind, and the atmosphere was particularly strange.

"Is this the entrance to the A3 secret passage?" I asked He Dan.

"Yes," He Dan said, "There were special soldiers guards here before. After the accident last night, Director Chen took away all the people on the mountain."

I nodded and told her, "You are guarding outside the entrance of the cave, Ke'er and I go in. If you find that the injured monster ran out, kill them!"

He Dan frowned, "Don't you take me in?"

"This is called division of labor," I said, "We are responsible for saving people and killing monsters. You are responsible for guarding the entrance of this cave. The monsters inside are good at changing and eat people. If one runs out, they will kill many people."

She hesitated for a moment, "I understand."

"Are you confident?" I asked.

She took a deep breath, "Yes!"

I nodded and looked at Keer, "Let's go!"

"Okay!" Keer nodded.

We walked around He Dan and walked into the cave.

He Dan looked at us silently and breathed a long sigh.

The evil spirit in the cave is very strong, the ground is full of gravel, and the air is filled with pungent smell.

I stopped, pulled Ke'er's left hand, pinched my fingers to practice the light amulet, the phoenix eye talisman, and the evil-avoiding talisman, and pressed it into her left arm in turn.

Ke'er's body trembled slightly and her eyes lit up suddenly.

I concentrated a little, turned the three talismans into formations, and merged them into myself.

The surroundings became clear in an instant, and the pungent smell disappeared immediately.

"Are you unfit?" I asked her.

"No, everything is normal!" she said.

I feel relieved, "Okay, let's go!"

"Yeah!" she nodded.

We continued to move forward, and the speed was significantly faster.

The cave is slanted downward, and the road is rugged and uneven. The more you go in, the more evil the energy it becomes, the more narrow the passage becomes. After walking for about a few hundred meters, we saw the blown secret passage.

The secret passage is about five meters high and ten meters wide. It is very spacious. The four walls are made of huge stones and polished very smoothly. Some huge stones are scattered near the secret passage entrance. This should be the mechanism to block the secret passage entrance, with huge runes engraved on it. These runes are very powerful. Although they are broken, the evil aura emitted by these broken talismans is still domineering and sharp. The entire secret passage entrance is blocked by this evil aura.

It is precisely because of this evil spirit that the demons in the Baishan Temple failed to rush out. But as time goes by, the evil spirit on the huge rock is slowly weakening, and in about two hours, they can no longer stop the guardian demons.

Ke'er looked at the big rocks on the ground and couldn't help asking me, "Young Master, Sushen, more than 3,000 years ago, is the ability to build such a huge project?"

I shook my head, "Sushen people are primitive tribes and do not have this ability."

"Then who built this Baishan Temple?" She was puzzled.

I glanced at her, "White Mountain Tiger God."

"White Mountain Tiger God?" She frowned, "He built a temple for himself? Is it fun?"

"This is not a temple, this is a demon-sealing formation." I pointed to the big stones, "Look at those stones, although they were blown up by the people from Baishan Bureau, their evil spirits can still prevent the guardian demons from rushing out. Such runes, such domineering power, are not something that humans can possess."

"Then why did he seal these monsters?" Ke'er didn't understand. "If you were afraid that these monsters would harm people, wouldn't it be better to kill them directly?"

I shook my head, "I don't know about this. The evil spirit in the Baishan Temple is too heavy, and my magical powers cannot sense that much."

"You mean that the evil spirits here can block your magical powers?" she asked.

"Yes," I looked around, "This evil spirit is so domineering."

"Young Master, I'm just curious," Ke'er smiled, "Actually, who practiced it and why it has nothing to do with us. We are here to save people, not archaeology. As long as we rescue Sister Ma Ying and the others, we will be considered to have completed the task."

"You're right," I looked at my watch, "It's past eight o'clock, and there are still two and a half hours left. Let's go."

"Okay!" she nodded.

We walked around the big stones on the ground, walked into the secret passage, and walked for about twenty meters. The road ahead was blocked by a stone gate.

This is the stone gate that fell from the video yesterday. When you pass through this stone gate, you will be the temple of sacrifice.

On the modeling diagram of Baishan Bureau, the four sacrifice halls are marked with abcd respectively. Each secret hall has four entrances. The so-called A3 secret passage is the third secret passage leading to the A sacrifice hall.

Now, we are only one gate away from the A-Sacrificial Hall and the Guardian Demon.

I looked at Keer, "This stone gate must weigh tens of thousands of pounds, it depends on you."

"Okay", Ke'er rolled up her sleeves, walked to the stone gate and looked carefully, turned to me and said, "Young master, there is no place to do anything, so I can just break it."

I frowned, "Break? Can you?"

"No problem!" Keer was very confident.

I walked up to her, looked at the stone gate, and then looked at her, "You have the divine power talisman, but you don't have the indestructible body of Vajra. Can your hands stand it?"

Ke'er smiled gently, "I am not an indestructible body of Vajra, but I have the five thunder energy to protect myself! Young Master, I know it in my heart, don't worry."

I hesitated for a moment, "Can it really work?"

"Really!" She pulled me aside, as if coaxing a child, "You are waiting here and looking at me."

"It really works?" I was unsure.

Ke'er smiled, turned around and walked to the stone gate to stand still, and concentrated a little, and the powerful five thunder aura instantly appeared. A ball of white energy quickly condensed beside her, wrapping her body tightly, turning into a soft white light.

Then, she shouted, stepped forward, twisted her waist, and punched her lunge, hit the stone gate.

With a bang, the stone door trembled.

My heart couldn't help but tighten.

Ke'er stood up, clapped her hands, turned around and smiled at me, "Okay."

As soon as he finished speaking, a cracking sound came from the stone gate.

Click...click...click...

The cracks became bigger and bigger, and with a last bang, the entire stone door shattered.

I let out a long sigh and smiled with relief.
