Chapter 49: The Underground Palace Search

"Fluorescent flashes!" To prevent accidents, Allen turned the Miaomiao wizard robe into a protective suit, then lifted the tapestries behind the children's bookshelf, and arched into the tunnel with his body. The walls of the tunnel were very smooth, as if they had been treated with magic, and were stable and solid. Allen climbed down the tunnel and walked several gentle roads intermittently. Before he walked for a long time, Allen saw the light.

This is a small utility room. The afternoon sun shines straight from the skylight on the roof, just in the position where Allen crawled out. Allen instantly reached out to cover his eyes, and after a while, he adapted to the light.

Open the door and walked out. This was an abandoned garden, with snow piled on high and low land. Leaving the garden, the surroundings were desolate and bleak, and farmhouses made of wood, soil and straw were sparsely scattered in the wilderness. Alan looked back and saw that a manor surrounded by high walls stood not far from the farmhouse. Here, you can see a few pieces of snow on the roof of the castle in the manor gathered scattered sunlight and shining. Behind the manor, some towering peaks penetrated into the clouds. From a distance, it looked like a reef in the sea.

Alan looked at the time. Emily was about to wake up. He quickly returned the same way, and had a rough plan in his mind. He returned to the original state of the tapestries and came to the bedroom door. The little girl in red and raised a toad appeared on the door again. She glanced at Allen quickly and disappeared in an instant. Alan pushed the door and Aunt Josephine disappeared, but thankfully Emily was still sleeping soundly. Alan tiptoed over, climbed onto the bed, lay down beside Emily, closed her eyes, and called the system.

"What's wrong with the host?" A sweet voice sounded. It was a very good system, and it was available at any time.

"You provided me with a map for the last Lizin man mission. Do you have map assistance for the subsequent tasks?" Allen asked a question.

"Yes, in order to help the host complete tasks better, there will be map assistance."

"So can I take the initiative to apply for a task?" Allen continued to ask.

"The host can publish active tasks. However, the task difficulty is determined by the system and the reward is to be determined."

"Yes, please help me post a mission to find Albert Harris." Allen was so tricky, and he got the results he wanted in depth.

"Please wait patiently, the task difficulty is being determined."

"The system determines that the difficulty is too low, and it is recommended that the task be won by the 'Moon Gem'. Will the host accept the task?"

"Accept." Alan said concisely. He felt Emily's little hand move, and the little girl was about to wake up.

"Since it is an active task, the system does not limit time, please continue to work hard." The system was also very straightforward, and the map appeared directly in Allen's mind.

Not to mention how Allen accompanied Emily for an afternoon and chatted with Aunt Josephine. At 9 o'clock in the evening, after coaxing Emily to sleep again, Allen casts a "good sleep curse" on the little girl. According to "The Encyclopedia of Curse", this is a spell invented by a wizard who suffered from insomnia. He kissed Emily's forehead, and Allen turned around and left.

Walking out of the farmhouse again, Alan pulled out Neptune from the storage compartment, turned over and rode, and drove to the distance as fast as possible. The cold night wind blew wildly beside Alan. Fortunately, Alan was prepared and turned the Miaomiao wizard robe into a close-fitting outfit with windproof and warm protection. Fortunately, the moon was sparse. Through the occasionally floating thin clouds, the farmhouse on the ground seemed to be flattened and spread out again. Alan ran at an incredible speed. In the hazy night, when approaching his destination, a towering bell tower came into view.

When Allen stepped on the ground, he felt like he was stepping on cotton. Allen decided in his heart that when he returned to Hogwarts, he must go to peek at the senior phantom movement training.

As we climbed up the bell tower, an outdoor staircase surrounding the top of the bell tower hovered in the air like a long snake. Even when we stood at the highest point of the bell tower, Alan did not find any trace of Albert or the moon gem. But the target position displayed on the map is probably in this range? Looking around, the direction where the target is located is deserted. Could this gem still go to heaven and earth?

Wait, when seeing such a towering bell tower, Allen's first reaction was to climb up, maybe he needed to do the opposite! If he didn't try, how could he know if it was possible? Allen quickly rushed down the stairs. Sure enough, in the square outside the first floor of the bell tower, Allen found an abandoned dry well, and Allen noticed the traces of magic on the inward. It's so wonderful. There is such a tall building standing in front of him, who would pay attention to such a abandoned well!

As the saying goes, a skilled man is brave. With the help of the magical wizard robe, Alan slid down the well wall. I don’t know how long it took in the darkness, Alan finally stopped sliding. A narrow and dark aisle led to a huge stone cave in front of him. The dark hole was like a big mouth, which was about to swallow everything.

"Fluorescent flashes." The magic wand emitted a faint blue light without adding a trace of security. Coupled with this dark cave, it made people feel full of dangers. But Alan was excited, and there was no other way. The map in his mind once again had clear road guidance. Alan threw himself into the cave without hesitation and continued to search.

The rugged stone walls were rough and uneven, and they successfully walked through a flat and compact land. Slowly, the ground gradually became muddy. If a muggle passed by, it would be difficult to walk. There were often some streams blocking Allen's way, and he had to wade through it. This underground maze seemed to have nothing special, muddy land, monotonous scenery, and depressing mood. But when I recalled Allen's itinerary, if it weren't for the map guidance, he might have been lost in one fork after another, because the scenery of many stone walls was not much different.

It should be said that so far, everything has been going smoothly. Apart from boredom, I really shouldn't complain about anything. After a sudden turn, a very steep slope brought Allen to a deeper place. The slope was even terriblely steep, and Allen had to cheer up and control his balance. After a series of declines, the slope gradually became smooth. The huge underground palace had no sound except Alan's breathing and footsteps, and it was as quiet as death. The winding paths were crisscrossing, and Allen even lost the concept of time in such a boring walk.
