190. Hard but great

(Read the full text of the Reading House without pop-up windows)

The configuration problem of teams like the Nuggets is too big, their offense and defense are too individual, and the defense of Iverson and Anthony are too poor, so they are destined to not be able to play defensive battles; while the attacks of the two main players Camby and Martin are too poor, and there is no good point guard like Kidd or Nash, and they cannot play pure offensive battles.

If such a team wants to win, they have to pray for loopholes in the defense line, and they also need to feel overwhelmed.

In the first half, the Nuggets felt very hot. Iverson and Anthony were afraid of others when shooting at high altitude, and Smith's several shots were also effective.

But in the second half, as Anthony and Iverson's physical strength declined, their shooting percentages were problematic. This is why the teams attach so much importance to inside construction and have an excellent inside, which has helped them too much on offense and defense.

At the end of the first half, the Nuggets were still five points ahead of the Warriors, but their lead was gone in two minutes in the third quarter. After two more minutes, the Warriors began to lead.

Chamberlain assisted West and Billups to hit a three-pointer each for two consecutive times. After that, Chamberlain and Billups made a mid-range shot after pick-and-roll. The Warriors' smooth attack quickly stopped the Nuggets. Carl had to take a timeout for five minutes in the third quarter.

After the timeout, the Warriors became even more fierce. Chamberlain first sent out a hot pot hat to his idol Iverson. After that, the offense caused Camby to foul and made both free throws. In this way, the Nuggets' offense was completely killed. The Warriors scored a 10-0 fantasy start in the third quarter.

Iverson's running shot ended the Nuggets' scoring drought of 5 and a half points. Chamberlain attacked the inside continuously and scored 4 points to continue to instigate the Warriors' offense. Gao Fei's 13-3 attack came back. The Warriors left the Nuggets far behind 27-10 in the entire third quarter.

Fortunately, the Nuggets are not the kind of soft persimmon that can be kneaded by others. Next, Iverson's breakthrough and Anthony's mid-range shot completed 7-0. The score was 17-27. Seeing this, Chamberlain immediately attacked the inside and retaliated. The entire game was under the control of the Nuggets, and finally ended the third quarter with a 10-5 small high-end, gaining an absolute lead of 37-17 in this quarter.

The Nuggets' backwardness has become double digits, but the team with Iverson has absolute resilience. If ordinary teams may give up the game, but the Nuggets have not. Under Iverson's leadership, the soldiers become more and more brave. This is in line with a black proverb: The lion led by the sheep will also become sheep, and the sheep led by the lion will also become a lion.

In the fourth quarter, Iverson pulled the three-point line and made a shot from the outside of the three-point line. This is rare. Iverson's three-pointer was famous for his excitement. Then when defending, Camby elbowed Chamberlain, who was not a soft persimmon, and immediately returned an elbow hit and directly threw Camby to the ground.

The two of them each took a technical foul. Anthony's three-pointer made the Nuggets continue to chase points, while the Warriors' offensive efficiency was declining. In 3 minutes, only Billups scored two points with a free throw. Old Nelson called out a timeout and he re-deployed the lineup.

After the timeout, Chamberlain received West's pass dunk and scored, Nuggets veteran Eduado Nahula made a contribution, and he blocked Chamberlain's turn and jumped in two consecutive shots from the basket.

Nahula has average physical fitness, can't jump high or run fast, and can survive in the NBA, relying on a fighting spirit that is not afraid of death. He often defends the opponent's most fierce inside player, a coolie player, and frontcourt rebounds are his strengths.

George Carl sent him on the court just a helpless move, but he actually received a miraculous effect, which made him overjoyed.

What made him even happier was that later, the Nuggets' offense began to improve, and he beat the Warriors a 9-2 Little Gaofu.

Chamberlain contributed 4 points in a row with free throws to stabilize the Warriors' position, but Anthony then scored on the free throw line. In addition, after West ended, Smith's nerve knife finally began to exert force. His three-pointer was not ruthless. With the Nuggets' focus, the team regained control of the situation.

Jackson's offense became a little frigid. After he got an offensive foul, the Nuggets chased another 4 points. However, Billups took the initiative to attack and counterattacked with free throws. The Nuggets who were strangled to death in the inside were hard to do anything. Although they recovered a lot of them in terms of the score, in terms of form, it was still as bad.

The Nuggets missed two consecutive offensive misses, and Billups and Jackson made the game less controversial. Five minutes before the end of the game, the Warriors still led by double digits with 92:82.

However, there was a little problem with the Warriors' subsequent attack. After Chamberlain came out, their inside lost their advantage. Iverson and Anthony attacked the Warriors' inside. In addition, Nene, who had been resting for two quarters, also began to exert force. Nene continued to attack the inside, scored 5 points in a row and free throws, and the Nuggets pulled back the score.

The Warriors were not willing to be outdone. Billups and West jointly attacked and scored another four points. The game became fierce. The Nuggets' counterattack immediately appeared. Anthony hit the basket and dunked. Iverson, who was red-eyed, scored 5 points in a row. Seeing that the Nuggets' momentum was about to rise, Jackson assisted Billups to make a three-pointer and hit the counterattack. The Nuggets called a timeout, and George redeployed the tactics in the last three minutes.

After the timeout, the Nuggets launched a tight press on the whole game, but Chamberlain came back at this time. This kind of attack did not stop the Warriors' attack at all. Chamberlain scored consecutively on Martin and Nene's heads, and the score difference hovered around 10 points. Anthony's dunk was fouled by Chamberlain and made both free throws. The Nuggets did not even have the confidence to shoot, and could only rely on the core to fight at the basket.

In the last point and a half, the Warriors' lead was still close to double digits. Chamberlain thought the Nuggets were going to surrender now, but Iverson began his personal performance with a firm look. He first magically blocked West's fast break, then turned around and led the team to the fast break and rushed into the inside to make a difficult time to score two points.

Chamberlain was pulled down by Martin at the basket. He was a little anxious, but missed two free throws. Turning back, Iverson took the ball and directly hit a 2+1 to make the game full of suspense. What's worse is that Jackson was dissatisfied with Martin's rough movements and helped Chamberlain get a technical foul.

The Nuggets chased the score to less than two points. There were more than 40 seconds left. The Pepsi Center seemed to be a boiling pressure cooker, and it became a buzzing sound. After taking Chamberlain and receiving Billups' pass, it dunked again. Now, whenever Chamberlain was seen fighting in the Pepsi Center, it was disappointing.

Iverson achieved his contributions in one game. At the last moment, he used his famous skill to cross-over to swing past Billups and West continuously. Chamberlain was unable to return to defense and could only hold him in the waist when he broke through and layup. Nuggets home fans booed everywhere, and Iverson made only one of two free throws. The most important thing was that he failed to hit the second free throw, and Chamberlain took the rebound.

In the last moment, Chamberlain showed his big heart again. He made a decisive move outside the three-point line and hit his first and only three-pointer in this game.

This time only took more than ten seconds, and the Warriors' lead became six points. In the end, the Nuggets adopted a foul tactic, but still could not stop the Warriors' victory, and they finally lost 102:110.

The result of this game made TNT and ESPN feel very regretful. There is no doubt that this was a wonderful game, and it can even be said to be the most exciting performance in the league in March. Both sides tried their best and each of them gave their own everything. Although the Nuggets finally lost, it would definitely be a blessing in defeat. If this game can be broadcast live nationwide, the ratings will definitely be overwhelming.

After the game, the video of this game was posted on Tu-be, which triggered a craze for viewing.

Chamberlain scored 30 points on 12 of 20 shots in this game. He went to the free throw line many times, exerting the power of a super center to the fullest. In addition, he scored 22 rebounds and scored a 30+20 data again. Not only that, he also had excellent performances of 7 blocks. Now he has a far-reaching lead in the block list with an average of 6.4 blocks per game. Garnett ranked second, with 3.2, which is exactly half of his.

Billups scored 16 points and 18 assists. Although Paul's 11.5 is now ranked first in the assist list, he has averaged 14 assists since he came to the Warriors, so he is likely to win the assist king next season.

Iverson scored a game-high 38 points. He performed particularly bravely in the fourth quarter, scoring 18 points, and dominated the Nuggets' counterattack. If it weren't for him, the Nuggets would have surrendered long ago.

Ai's courage made Chamberlain feel very nervous. After the game, he expressed his admiration for Iverson without any concealment in the face of the reporter, hoping that the latter would be willing to come to the Warriors, and he promised that as long as Iverson came to the Warriors, he would definitely be willing to regard Ai as the team's boss and be willing to be the second to assist him.

After reading this news, Kobe was very angry. Isn’t this kid looking for a blow? Isn’t I better than that kid from Ai? Why is he willing to treat Ai as the boss but not as the second child under his command?

For the Nuggets, the defeat in this game is nothing. The next day, a bad news attacked Denver City, which was their main power forward. In the front game, Nene, who scored 16 points and 12 rebounds, was diagnosed with testicular cancer!

Although testicular cancer is currently the most cured malignant solid tumor in clinical practice - even patients with metastasized testicular cancer have high clinical cure opportunities through surgery, combined with radiotherapy and chemotherapy. However, for the Nuggets, this is still a bad news, because it means that Nene will miss all the remaining games of this season and may not be able to return at the beginning of next season.

This is really bad news for Iverson, who is determined to compete for the championship!

For Nene, who has not given birth, this is also a bad news. The population of testicular cancer is young and middle-aged. Although the cure rate is high, it has a great impact on social and family. The treatment process of testicular tumors requires the removal of the affected side. The subsequent retroperitoneal lymph node dissection surgery, radiotherapy or chemotherapy will bring corresponding adverse reactions, which may affect the patient's fertility function. For example, retroperitoneal lymph node dissection may lead to ejaculation disorders, intestinal adhesions, and chemotherapy may cause pulmonary fibrosis. Overall, chemotherapy and radiotherapy can reduce fertility by about 30%, among which radiotherapy has the greatest impact.

When the Warriors had not left Denver when they received this news, Chamberlain and others hurried to visit Nene and expressed sympathy for him. Nene on the hospital bed could not tell at all the way he was killing all over the field yesterday. He cried with a sad face, and almost cried in the face of the comfort of Chamberlain and others: I haven't had a baby yet.
