228. The first fight

(Read the full text of the Reading House without pop-up windows)

"If North Shore Garden Arena is the most glorious field in NBA history, then what we have to face next is the most glorious field in the league in the past ten years. Are you ready to break through them and create history?" Old Nelson waved Fang Jiong and roared like thunder.

Chamberlain and others were excited. When they fought with the Spurs, they felt not pressure, but strong motivation: these young people, they were rebellious, rebellious, and fearless. The Spurs' record of being the number one in the league gave them ambitions. They wanted to defeat this so-called West No. 1 team on this stadium, defeat the defending champion, and add a glory to their battle flag.

Defeating the Jazz is nothing. Although they completed the playoffs and won fourth place in fifth place, rankings do not represent everything. Judging from the regular season record, the Warriors are better than the Jazz, and the latter can rank in the upper level of the former because of the division, not because of the strength.

It is natural for the Warriors to beat the Jazz, but if they eliminate the West No. 5 with the West No. 1, it would be an unprecedented achievement: they will once again complete the miracle of the dark horse and become dark horses for two consecutive seasons, which is a feat that has never been seen in NBA history!

Just as all teams want to be dark horses, all teams don’t want to be the background of being dark horses. The Spurs work together and the fans are united.

When the Warriors players entered the court, they encountered a lot of booing, especially when Chamberlain was the last to enter the court, all kinds of abuse, contempt, and intimidation. Spurs fans asked the Warriors players to try out what "home crazy" means.

After experiencing the arrogance of Salt Lake City fans, Chamberlain originally thought that he had seen big scenes and the atmosphere of these away fans would not scare him in the future, but when he entered the At&T center, he was still shocked.

Just like the atmosphere of the court, the Jazz's energy center may be crazier, but they are a group of mobs, each of them is in their own way. In this way, Chamberlain only hears a hustle and bustle. It doesn't matter what they call.

Spurs fans are different. Just like this team, they have strong discipline, as if they have been trained in military training. Someone held a horn among the fans and shouted slogans, while others followed neatly, and the shouts rushed down like thunder:

"The Spurs will win! The Spurs will win! The Spurs will win!"

"Sweep the Warriors! Get out of Texas!"

...

Chamberlain had to cover his ears and entered the field. He grinned and walked to his teammates. Only West looked normal and took a ball and started to warm up. The others' expressions were even more painful than him.

"Damn it, are the Spurs recruited fans from the army? Damn, these bitches must have rehearsed in advance." Chamberlain said cursingly.

Billups sighed, covering his ears, "z, you should feel grateful that you didn't meet this team in the finals, otherwise you would definitely regret why you were not a damn deaf person!"

Chamberlain yelled: "What did you say? I can't hear it!"

Billups cursed: "Of course you can't hear it when you cover your ears..."

Chamberlain immediately retorted and said, "Don't you cover your ears the same way? You heard what I said. There must be some tricks, right?"

Billups: "Can you hear what I say?"

As usual, the national anthem was played and the national flag was raised. The fans finally calmed down. Chamberlain put down his palm covering his ears and felt his ears still buzzing. He couldn't help but shout in horror: "Hey, are your ears screaming? I won't be shocked to death, right?"

Jackson comforted him, "It's okay, z, you're over-minded, my ears are also buzzing, and I've been yelling for several years..."

Chamberlain was speechless. Should he feel relieved or comforted?

The Spurs' starting lineup is Oberto + Duncan + Bowen + Parker + Finley. Ginobili is still sitting under the court. It seems that Popovich still plans to use him as a surprise and find an opportunity to give the Warriors a fatal blow.

The Warriors' starting lineup is also extremely powerful: Chamberlain + Evans + Jackson + Billups + Ellis, Old Nelson faced tit-for-tat and pressed West as the sixth man on the bench. After arranging the team's tactics, he took the tactical board and said something to West. The latter nodded solemnly. It seemed that Old Nelson wanted to use him as a killer weapon.

Chamberlain went to find Bowen, and after Christmas, the two of them collaborated on several charity activities, and the relationship became more and more harmonious. After knowing Bowen enough, Chamberlain accepted him as a friend. Bowen was barbaric on the court, but he was gentlemanly, self-disciplined, caring and hard-working on the court. He was the kind of person who could give everything for the team, and Chamberlain believed that he was also like this.

"What are your plans after being eliminated by us, man?" Chamberlain asked Bowen.

Bowen smiled and said, "You haven't woken up yet, Xiaoz? We are the defending champions, do you understand? We are going to kick off the dynasty this season, we are the number one in the West, you are just our coaches, so if you ask me for something, you have to wait until the end of May when we win the championship."

Chamberlain waved his hand and said, "Forget it, let's not have a verbal dispute, let's wait to see Zhenzhang on the court. To be honest, we have the Olympics in Beijing this year, do you want to participate?"

Bowen smiled and said, "You know, I am old and have a bad reputation, so it is impossible for me to join the Dream Team..."

Chamberlain despised: "Of course I know, I'm not saying you are participating in the game. A guy like you can play in a bad team like the Spurs. If the Dream Team invites you to participate, you will definitely not even be out of the group stage. I mean the charity match, I'm going to organize a charity match in our country. Do you want to go? I've invited Billups, Mutombo, Durant and others, are you coming?"

Bowen laughed and said, "You are trying every means to stimulate me, right? As you said, I am like an old dog with hair removal. When I go to your charity competition, will you lose your price and face?"

Chamberlain shrugged and said helplessly: "Who made me and you good friends? Friends cannot dislike each other, right?"

Bowen smiled even more happily. He punched Chamberlain in the chest and said with a smile: "Okay, for friendship, I will go to the competition, but is there any benefit?"

Chamberlain counted with his fingers: "Of course there are benefits. You just need to go to China, including food and accommodation, and you will also take you to the Great Wall and the Forbidden City to travel, right? Maybe you can also encounter a sweet love in our country..."

Bowen immediately said, "Just take me on a trip, forget about love or something. I am old and can no longer play with these things."

The referee blew the whistle and the game was about to begin. Chamberlain and Bowen hugged each other. After they separated, the two became opponents.

Chamberlain and Duncan jumped the ball. Faced with the shouting of "Come on the Spurs" by the whole audience, Chamberlain jumped first and gave the racket to Billups.

Facing Parker's defense, Billups turned around and took a strong attack. After arriving in the frontcourt, he hit Parker with his strong shoulders rhythmically, and at the same time began to spray trash words: "Boy, I heard that your knee is injured? Then you'd better go back and rub it with your mother for you, don't be on the court, otherwise I will ruin you!"

Parker's eyes were bright and he didn't come forward to take the pressure because his family knew his family's affairs, so he was not good at defense. On the defensive end, his role was to participate in the Spurs' overall defensive system, and his single-player defense ability was not good.

However, this is not absolute. He is better at defending fast and poor defenders, such as Nash, Paul, Harris, etc., who can effectively limit them. However, when encountering opponents like Billups who have both speed, strength and explosive power, he is a little tricky.

Billups acted like he was forced to eat Parker, and slowly pushed him in with Parker. After Parker retreated to the inside, he had no way out and could only squeeze his opponent. Billups approached Parker and then rushed backwards and turned around. He had already noticed that Bowen rushed up like lightning and reached out to get the ball. Billups was ready and waved his hand to pass the ball to Jackson.

Jackson jumped and shot after getting the ball. The Spurs' defensive system had begun to work. Although Bowen let go of Jackson, Finley came up in time to change defense. Jackson's move was disturbed and the bounce flew out on the rebound.

Oberto stuck Chamberlain, and Duncan reached out to grab the rebound and passed it to Parker.

Parker quickly dribbled the ball forward. After reaching the frontcourt, he did not stick to the ball. He looked at his teammate's position and passed the ball to Finley. He took Billups to start running. He first cooperated with Bowen in a small range, and the latter helped him block Billups. Finley passed the ball back to Parker, who dribbled the ball and rushed to the basket.

After getting the ball again, Parker made a quick stop and jumped. After taking off, Chamberlain made up for defense, but he still threw a high shot.

The basketball landed into the ring with a perfect arc. Parker smiled slightly and ran backwards with small steps.

Billups still used his previous tactics to play Parker. Parker took a step back and formed a 2-3 joint defense with his teammates. Billups passed the ball to Chamberlain in the inside. Chamberlain turned around and stepped under the basket after receiving the ball, grabbed the ball and made a dunk posture. Oberto was tightly attached to him behind him, while Duncan double-teamed from the wing.

After Chamberlain lied to Oberto, he jumped up. Duncan's arm appeared beside him. Chamberlain's heart sank, and the curve of the attack changed a little. The basketball hit the basket's neck, and Oberto was grabbed by Oberto who jumped again.

Chamberlain slapped his palms hatefully and cursed: "It's so fucking evil!"

Evans laughed. His attacking ability is really limited and he cannot go up and respond, otherwise Duncan would not dare to go up and double-team Chamberlain so easily. Old Nelson sent Evans to the court, and he also had his own plans. He did not expect Evans to bring much help to the team on the supply side. What he needed was Evans to defend Duncan.
