Chapter 8 Wolf Poison Potion

"Welcome to Merlin's Lodge, everyone!" the witch said enthusiastically after approaching.

"My name is Bertha Joggins, and I am a staff member of the International Magic Exchange and Cooperation Division of the Ministry of Magic. I will next receive everyone into the Merlin Memorial Hall."

Bertha was very excited, even a little excited.

"Everyone, please come with me, here."

Everyone followed her towards a gate.

"I really don't want to bother you, kid." Bertha's voice was full of curiosity, "Are you really the Stark who caught Tywin? Is it really you?"

William hesitated for a moment and nodded.

"I think so!" She looked happy. "I have been reading the Prophet Daily recently! I didn't expect Tywin was a Death Eater! Can you actually catch him and tell me more details?"

"Do you know? I'm two years older than Tywin. He's a Ravenclaw, but he doesn't look like Ravenclaw at all. What a pity... I've been observing him and found that his relationship with Porter is unusual."

Bertha seemed to be chattering, talking nonstop, and William found that she was a person who liked to stumble.

She seemed to notice that William was not in the mood to discuss Tywin. "I'm sorry, let you listen to my nagging."

William thought Bertha would shut up, but she continued, "By the way, I heard that this incident also involves Judy Crouch?

Judy is the niece of my boss, Mr. Crouch. Is it really related to her? If I ask me, Mr. Crouch should hold Judy tightly, just like he caught his son..."

Mr. Weasley coughed twice, and Bertha raised her head in confusion and apologized: "It's already here."

William followed her gaze and an indoor artificial river flowed calmly in front of them, with heavy mist shrouded on the river surface.

William looked forward and crossed the Tide River. He saw the outline of the Memorial Memorial, which intersected right angles very much like the ancient Greek Parthenon.

The spire of the Merlin Monument carved by a single huge stone looks like the solemn mast of a ship against the backdrop of the light.

"Bertha, let's go first," William said.

"Oh, go." Bertha was a little disappointed.

"I'll write to you when I go back and we'll continue chatting." William's smiled outlined the corner of his mouth.

"Okay!" Bertha was happy, "If you have any secret news, I will definitely tell me, I will not tell anyone!"

When Bertha walked away, Fred frowned and said, "William, you don't really want to tell her?"

William lowered his voice and said, "Of course I won't tell her, but did you not find that her information is very well-informed?"

"Indeed..." George nodded, "In this short time, Bertha has leaked a lot of things in the ministry."

"We need someone in the ministry," William said. "In the future, our products will definitely not be limited to Hogwarts. They will be sold to all over the UK and even other countries. We need to grasp the trends of the Ministry of Magic's policies in advance."

"That's right." Fred laughed.

Weasley and Mr. Digory are not suitable. Although the former is well-informed, he will not tell the twin brothers, and the latter is not so well-informed.

Bertha is a good candidate.

"Have you discovered something strange?" Cedric said suddenly.

William nodded and frowned, "Bertha has a good memory and even remembers many things from her student days."

"But the wizard before said that Bertha had a poor memory recently and always forgot all kinds of things." Fred said in surprise.

"She is only in her thirties and cannot suddenly lose memory. Generally, in this case, she drinks a lot of forgetting potion or is rudely casting the forgetting curse." William said.

Whether it is the forgetting potion or the forgetting spell, you can erase other people's memories.

But this method is extremely rough. If the spell is imposed correctly, it may erase more important parts of your personal memory and cause irrecoverable brain damage.

One of the consequences is that it becomes very forgetful.

Bertha, a member of the Ministry of Magic, will be cast by someone else in the Forgetful Scandal. Is the other party too bold?

William was very curious about what Bertha saw.

Soon, everyone walked into the Merlin Memorial Hall.

The hall is a well-proportioned, semicircular hall in the style of ancient Greek amphitheater. Elegant arched walls made of sandstone and Italian plaster highlight the mottled breccia columns.

Twenty-five life-size knight statues of the round table are arranged in arc shapes and stand on an open ground paved with large black and white marble floor tiles.

Several people walked towards the front and saw Flewy and Professor McGonagall in front at a glance.

Seeing Professor McGonagall, the twin brothers held their breath and did not dare to say anything. McGonagall was one of the few people they feared the most.

Hermione smiled and Professor McGonagall went to their house a few days ago, convinced Eris, and took her to Diagon Alley.

McGonagall was also very surprised. She didn't expect to meet Hermione.

Several people sat down on the chairs, and in the next half hour, their positions gradually filled with people.

Wizards kept coming to say hello, and Professor McGonagall and Professor Fleeve taught at Hogwarts for decades, and many of them were their students.

Mr. Weasley also showed his unusual connections and kept shaking hands with others. Those people were obviously very identifiable wizards.

Soon, the Minister of Magic Connelly Forge, also came, followed by a group of people.

Forge strode over, his face full of smiles, it seemed that he had grabbed Tywin and made him feel much better recently.

"William, long time no see, how are you doing recently?" He grabbed William's hand and asked him about his well-being. It seemed that the two had a good relationship.

But the last time the two met was in Dumbledore's office.

Fudge intimately introduced him to the wizard behind him.

"William Stark, you know, the youngest Merlin Medal winner." He shouted the wizard.

The man was wearing a black robe, which gave William a very similar feeling to Professor Snape, and he also had a strong smell of potions on his body.

William thought he already knew who this was.

"This is Darmkos Belby..." Fudge patted Belby on the shoulder, as if he was a close friend of him.

"William, the inventor of the wolf poison potion, you should know who he is... Those annoying were saved. They only need to take it a week before the full moon, and they will remain sane even if they become wolves. This saves a lot of effort for the Ministry of Magic, but the price is too expensive."

"Connelly, you should know that I was not going to announce the wolf poison potion for the time being. It is still improving, and the cost is too high." Belby frowned.

"But..." Fuji rubbed his hands, "Friends, there were too many things that happened some time ago. Everyone needs good news to inspire people. Those werewolfs also need medicine to save their lives.

You see, after you announced it, you immediately received the Merlin Level 2 Medal, and you can slowly improve it, right?"

William understood after hearing this for a while. According to Belby, he was not yet ready to announce the formula of Wolf Poison, and would only announce it after some improvements would be made to reduce the cost.

This time may be one or two months, or one or two years.

But Fudge obviously couldn't wait. He was a good player in politics and knew when to make an announcement and maximize his interests.

Before Tywin was arrested, Fudge was so busy that he threw out the news, diverting public attention and reducing a lot of pressure.

William had to sigh that Fudge was really a politician with means.

He glanced at Belby again.

This potion master is the uncle of his roommate Marcus. As Marcus said, their family has a bad relationship with this uncle.

Otherwise William would definitely see Marcus on such occasions.
