Chapter 4 The Guidance of the God of Death(1/2)
A dark red star hung in the sky, and William's attention was completely attracted.
The mist dyed red in gloomy colors, making the stars bigger, it seemed like a glowing wound.
William was stunned and a little confused, thinking hard...
What was he doing before?
Memories slowly take shape... like the gurgling bubbles floating onto the water from the unfathomable seabed.
William remembered.
He and Hermione took the express train from Florence to Venice.
Why does it appear here?
Dream?
But... the real thing here doesn't look like a dream!
Besides, who will know that you are dreaming when you dream?
The fog is getting heavier and a river appears not far away.
William was not surprised that the river appeared so suddenly.
It seems it's been there all the time!
On the other side of the river,
A person suddenly appeared.
Through the tumbling river, he stood under the dense elderberry and stood opposite William; he remained motionless, solemn and wide hood completely covered his entire face.
William did not cross the river, he instinctively felt that the breath of death was everywhere in the water.
Is there no bridge?
Or do he need to...build one?
William was about to touch his wand when the person on the opposite side suddenly spoke:
"A man carrying the crown wisdom,
Follow the footsteps of the Governor of Venice.”
The man's voice was low, and to William's voice seemed to be speaking in his head.
"Who are you?" he shouted, but he couldn't make any sound.
“He once lied,
Cut off the horse's head,
Take away the blind man's bones..."
The river kept churning with his words.
"The flood will flood the sky,
The Holy Grail burns at the bottom of the tomb.
The depths of the rebirth of the phoenix,
The lagoon will not reflect the stars.
Monsters are waiting in the darkness,
Merlin's prophecy will come true eventually."
"What does it mean?" William grew up with his mouth. "Who are you?"
He wanted to get closer, but the river in front of him became even more surging and could not be crossed.
William looked up again and looked at the wizard with a hood.
Without warning, he disappeared into the air. The tall elder branches and leaves made a rustling sound.
The river was boiling like a huge wave, hitting William.
William suddenly opened his eyes and woke up from his confused sleep.
After a few breaths, he realized that he was lying on a huge soft chair.
The train was driving away from Florence at high speed, making a gentle and repeated clicking sound and a slight shaking dynamic feeling.
Hermione had sat up and was looking at the boy with a worried face.
William slowly remembered that he and Hermione were lying here before, enjoying the Italian scenery outside the train window.
Perhaps it was the continuous rain knocking and the slight shaking of the train that made him fall asleep.
The girl asked softly, "William, have you had a nightmare?"
William nodded slightly, and he frowned and said strangely: "It seems...yes, I'm not sure, is that nightmare."
Hermione sat cross-legged, gently hugged William's head, rested on her fair legs, and rubbed his temples for him.
William closed his eyes and was still thinking about what had just happened.
He thought for a while, then suddenly opened his eyes and said, "Do you remember the story of Nico that I told you?"
Hermione stroked William's eyebrows without pausing her fingers, she quickly recalled:
"Remember, you said he had a dream of a wizard wearing a hood.
The man told him that in a cave on the northwest shore of the Alaba Sea, there was a legendary alchemy book.
Just take that book, study it hard and understand it thoroughly, and you can gain extraordinary knowledge…”
William stared into Hermione's eyes and whispered: "I just dreamed of a wizard with a hood."
Hermione's finger paused, and she pondered: "This doesn't mean anything... Maybe it's just a dream..."
Well, Nico also had a dream.
But he believed it and only spent one breakfast time, he decided to sell all his belongings and set off immediately to search for it in a foreign country.
No hesitation at all.
And... I really found the book of alchemy!
Then, sometimes dreams are not just dreams, but also death’s... guidance!
"The wizard in your dream also guided the location of a Deathly Halloween?" Hermione said with her eyes narrowed.
"No, he said something almost prophetic."
William wrote the words of the hooded wizard on parchment paper.
Hermione read it twice, but she didn't understand what it means. However, this passage obviously mentioned a word:
Holy Grail!
According to Nico's guess, the Holy Grail is a Deathly Hallows.
It first appeared in the hands of Jesus, and then after Jesus died, Joseph of Arimathea buried him and brought the Holy Grail to Britain.
Galahad, one of King Arthur's Knights of the Round Table, used the magical power of the Holy Grail to heal the dying aborted king.
Later, Galahad gave the Holy Grail to the wizard Merlin.
Merlin hid the Holy Grail in the memorial hall under Stonehenge, but later disappeared again.
Did the God of Death appear in William's dream to guide him in the position of the Holy Grail?
William suddenly remembered Merlin's motto:
You don't have to look for the Holy Grail, the Holy Grail will come to you.
Isn't it just coming to find him now? I even told the address, but William didn't understand it.
The two discussed for a while, and Hermione burned the parchment. Be careful, she had already kept the content in her mind.
"...I think we can check "Analysis of Common Dreams", maybe the book will talk about the meaning of dreaming of death."
Hermione is still trying to characterize this as a dream.
However, her tone was not sure. After all, with Nico's example here, it is unlikely that she would find the answer in the book.
William nodded without objection. He changed to a more comfortable position and his head rested on the pillow.
Hermione also lay down, leaning on William's chest with her face and looking out the car window with her aura.
The train was still speeding, neither of them spoke, and seemed to be asleep again.
They have been in Italy for many days.
In fact, a few days after the beginning of the summer vacation, William and Hermione left Britain and headed for Italy.
The International Joint Wizards Conference was held on the Thirteenth, and there were ten days between them.
They came so early, so naturally they were not enthusiastic about meetings, but went to various places in Italy to visit.
Anyway, the Ministry of Magic will be reimbursed, and it will be useless to not play. Along the way, I will definitely stay in the best hotel, eat the most expensive food, and play the wildest projects.
To be continued...
