Chapter 127 Elaine

The last class on Friday afternoon is still herbal lesson.

As Professor Sprout announced the dismissal of get out of class, the second-year students of Slytherin and Hufflepuff finally breathed a sigh of relief and stopped the repeated operation of filling the pot with fire dragon manure to fertilize.

They left the greenhouse one after another. This also meant that the week-long course was finally over and they had two short rest days.

Malfoy, Norte and Crab, with mud covered in dust, ran to the castle in a hurry... They seemed very anxious and didn't know what they were planning.

As for Matthew, he returned to the public lounge slowly, took a shower and rushed to the library.

Since it was already the weekend, there were not many students in the library.

But a few familiar faces can still be found, such as Miss Hermione Granger, who was lying on a table in the library, as if writing a paper...

After saying hello to a few acquaintances, Matthew quickly disappeared behind the bookshelf.

...

It was not until the sky outside the window was completely dark that Matthew took his sight away from the book in his hand.

At this moment, there were no few people left in the library, and it was not too late to turn off the lights.

While returning the book back to its original place, Matthew hurried back to the Slytherin's common room.

It was very smooth along the way, except when he passed by the castle gate, he suddenly felt a biting chill that came from the bottom of his heart. The chill penetrated into his skin, invaded his chest, and even into his heart...

Matthew quickly accelerated his pace, and then glanced at the door with some fear.

It was probably at night that the Dementor began to do activities around the campus... He thought to himself.

But when he returned to the door of Slytherin's common room, Matthew encountered another "interesting" thing.

A girl who looked like she looked very young, wearing a Slytherin robe... At the same time, she was tilting her head and curled up on the floor at the door of the common room.

When she heard Matthew's footsteps, she quickly stood up and was overjoyed.

"What's going on?" Matthew looked at her in surprise.

For a moment, he suddenly felt that the little girl in front of him looked a little familiar.

"Thank God, someone finally came back." The girl said with a little crying voice: "Sorry, I can't remember what the command is, I can't go back to sleep... I usually come back with my friends... I've been outside for almost half an hour..."

This is a bit strange. This is the first time Matthew encountered this situation; but it may also be because he usually comes back late.

"The password is 'pure blood'." Matthew said: "Please check the bulletin board. It will be written clearly there, and under normal circumstances, it will only be changed once every two weeks."

As Matthew shouted the order, the giant snake on the stone gate began to move slowly and the door opened.

"Thank you." The girl said gratefully: "I will keep every password on the note in the future and bring it with me..."

Matthew couldn't help but be stunned.

After hesitating for a while, he took the initiative to speak, "Actually, I don't recommend you to do this."

"Why?" The girl glanced at him in confusion.

"Because if you do this and then lose that note," Matthew explained, "then the entire Slytherin Public Lounge will be made public... You should know that by the rules, students from other colleges are not allowed to come to our public lounge and tell them our passwords. Moreover, our public lounge has not allowed outsiders to come in for seven hundred years."

"In addition, if some illegal people get the command, it may have very bad consequences." Matthew added.

"Yeah, I understand." The girl nodded quickly: "By the way, sir, what is your name?"

"Wickfield, Matthew Wakefield." Matthew said simply.

"Thank you again, Mr. Wakefield." She waved to Matthew politely.

"My name is Shafik, Elaine Shafik!" After that, she ran towards the girls' dormitory.

Matthew was suddenly stunned.

He finally understood why he felt that this girl looked familiar.

Because she is indeed somewhat similar to Mr. Shafik, the manager of Lihen Bookstore.

While lowering his head to think about something, Matthew returned to his dormitory.

...

The next morning, Matthew met Miss Elaine Shafik again, "accidentally."

She was standing at the gate of the castle, looking outside, dazed.

Matthew looked around and happened to see a few black shadows floating by in the distance.

"Miss Shafik!" he reminded softly.

The girl seemed to be startled, and she breathed a little relieved after seeing Matthew: "Hello, Mr. Wakefield."

"What's wrong?" Matthew asked with great concern, "I saw you with great worries."

"When I just passed by here, I saw the dementor," the little girl's voice was quite disappointed, "This reminded me of my father...he is probably companion with the dementor now..."

"Your dad?" Matthew calmly and made a rhetorical tone.

Then, he suddenly asked with some fuss, "Can your father be Mr. Shafik, the manager of Lihen Bookstore?"

"Yes." Elaine Shafik lowered his head with some inferiority.

"Sorry..." Matthew said softly.

The girl seemed to hesitate for a while and said with some uncertainty: "Dad...he should be innocent..."

"Yeah!" Matthew nodded thoughtfully.

"Do you believe him, Mr. Wakefield?" Elaine looked very happy and excited. "My friends are all due to his sins, and the evidence is conclusive..."

"It may be possible that someone is being blamed!" Matthew said seriously: "I have been to Lihen Bookstore and have had contact with your father. I don't think he looks like a bad person..."

"Yeah!" the little girl nodded desperately, "There must be a bad guy who is blaming him!"

"Then Miss Shafik." Matthew made a very concerned expression, "If someone blamed him, I think it must be a wizard who is very familiar with him... Usually, who do your father often contact? This may help him clear his grievances!"

Elaine's face suddenly showed a embarrassed expression: "This...I don't seem to remember it very much..."

"It's okay, think about it!" Matthew patted her on the shoulder.

"Yeah!" the little girl nodded innocently and romanticly.
