Chapter 40 The Vice-Principal's Office

Neville Longbottom had the lightest thing in his hand, and he was at the forefront of the team.

I saw him knocking on the door lightly, and soon, Professor Rozier's slightly cold voice sounded inside the room:

"Please come in!"

Neville pushed open the door, and then the three of them walked into the vice principal's office with lots of housewares.

"Professor Rozier." Neville looked a little nervous, and his voice seemed to stammer: "It was Mr. Pringer who sent us... to clean your office."

Professor Vita Rozier was sitting behind her desk, and she looked up and said, "Okay, I need to cooperate."

After saying that, she lowered her head again, as if she was continuing to review the students' after-class papers.

Neville looked obviously relieved.

Professor Rozier's aura is indeed strong enough. Just looking at them, they can't breathe.

Even Matthew felt so.

Harry Evans on the side was even more scared and his face turned pale.

...

Professor Rozier's office looks quite simple.

All the furniture includes only: a bookshelves filled with books, a cabinet that doesn't know what it is, and the tables and chairs she is working in now.

There is nothing else other than that.

Such a room is the easiest to pack up at first glance.

It seems that their luck is much better than those of Crabbe and Gower.

The cleaning work has begun.

Matthew and the others did a simple division of labor. Neville was responsible for taking the broom to sweep the dust on the ground, Evans was responsible for cleaning the windows, and Matthew took the rag to start cleaning the bookshelf.

On the way, they made as light as possible to avoid disturbing Professor Rozier.

Books that can be placed on Professor Rozier's bookshelf are naturally not ordinary books.

While wiping the dust on the bookshelf, Matthew glanced at the covers of several books on the outside from time to time.

He saw a book called "The Reveal of the Sharp Black Magic" and a book called "The Guide to Top Transformation"...

If Professor Rozier hadn't been behind him, Matthew might have been able to open and take a look.

Of course, now, he only dares to concentrate on cleaning...

Just as he was washing the rag, Matthew quietly glanced at Professor Rozier.

She seemed to have made a cup of black tea, and while correcting the paper, she took a few sips from time to time.

Professor Rozier suddenly raised his head again, scaring Matthew quickly looked away.

The bookshelf has been wiped, and now it is the cabinet turn.

In the gaps in the cabinet, you can vaguely smell a strange smell, a familiar smell, but you can't remember where you smelled it.

Time passed minute by minute.

Neville had carefully swept the room with a broom, and Evans also wiped the windows sharply, and Matthew also completed his task.

Now it's the turn to mop the floor-

Matthew picked up the mop and began to drag the house from the inside out.

Neville put a few dirty rags into the basin, then carried the basin to the bathroom.

Evans was about to help Matthew, but Professor Rozier stopped him.

"Mr. Evans!" she pointed to a thick stack of waste paper on the table: "Please bring them to Mr. Pringle."

"Okay... OK..." Harry Evans stammered, and then he picked up the waste paper that was more than a foot high with difficulty.

Then he also walked out of Professor Rozier's office.

Now, there are only two people left in the room, Matthew and Professor Rozier.

While dragging the floor, Matthew felt the quiet atmosphere, which was a little cunning.

...

Soon, Matthew came to Professor Rozier with a mop.

"Professor Rozier," he asked softly, "Can you give it a little!"

Professor Rozier did not reply, but just stood up suddenly, and then she looked up and down at Matthew.

When she looked at Matthew, Matthew only felt her whole body trembling and her hands and feet were cold.

Fortunately, this gaze did not last long, Professor Rozier left her position and then walked out of the office.

Matthew couldn't believe everything he saw-

Professor Rozier left carelessly, and with Neville and Evans who had left here before, he was the only one left in the entire office.

He turned his gaze to where the bookshelf was located.

But soon, he gave up his thoughts... Perhaps Professor Rozier was just going to the bathroom. If he rashly touched her things now, he might be caught in the middle of the day.

He did not forget Mr. Pringer's previous warning.

Matthew moved away Professor Rozier's bench and was about to start mopping the floor.

But his movements stopped in an instant.

Because in front of him, he suddenly saw a very small drop of blood-like liquid.

It is very bright and bright red, and looks a little hideous.

And according to the location of the drop of liquid... it is very likely that Professor Rozier accidentally dripped down while sitting on the bench and drinking something.

Then, that is to say-

Matthew turned his gaze again to the teacup on the table.

The teacup is covered with a lid and no information is visible.

However, a few bright red marks can be seen at the edge of the teacup mouth.

Do you want to... go and open the teacup to see what it is inside?

Matthew hesitated for a moment...

However, Mr. Pringer's warning sounded again in his mind:

"Also, Professor Rozier doesn't like others' moves her things, don't blame me for not warning you!"

He lowered his head without hesitation, waved the mop, and dragged all the traces in front of him completely.

All of this happened in an instant.

It was as if Matthew Wakefield had seen nothing.

...

Just after Matthew dragged the floor of the entire room.

Neville Longbottom is back with a basin in his hand and a few rags.

"Everything should be done." Matthew whispered.

"Okay, thank you for your hard work, Matthew." Neville said quickly.

"Thank you too."

As they spoke, Harry Evans was back.

The thin boy looked panting at this time, and moving such heavy things almost exhausted him.

However, Professor Rozier still did not come back.

The boys looked a little embarrassed. According to common sense, they should be able to pack up their housekeeping supplies and return to Mr. Pringer.

But they were a little hesitant whether they should say goodbye to Professor Rozier.

...

At this moment, a violent barking sound suddenly sounded in the corridor downstairs.

It was Mr. Tang's voice.

The golden retriever seemed to suddenly become extremely manic!
