Chapter 42 The smell of blood

A boy lay on the ground, twitching, as if he was dying.

Another boy fell to his knees, sobbing and shouting his name.

There was another boy curled up beside him, trembling with fear.

And two teachers standing and squatting, looking at each other.

Matthew Wickfell suddenly felt like he was here like an "outsider".

...

"I think this is an attack, Professor Rozier." Professor Troca said first, Matthew noticed that his voice seemed to be trembling.

And the sound of Professor Rozier's high heels stomping on the floor sounded again; she walked to Ronald Weasley, bent down, and checked his wounds in person-

"The blood was almost sucked dry..." Her voice was a little heavy: "And there seemed to be toxins left in the wound, and those toxins were the fundamental reason that turned him into this!"

She gently pulled out her wand and pointed it at Weasley's body: "Resuscite quickly!"

A warm red light flashed, and a glimmer suddenly appeared in Weasley's eyes, but it soon became dim again.

"I've tried it, it's useless." Professor Troca shook his head: "The wound can hardly heal..."

At this moment, a messy footsteps suddenly came from behind them.

"Princess Rozier, you're here, so good!" It was Mr. Pringer's voice: "My dog...my dog...it suddenly went crazy..."

Mr. Pringer's voice suddenly came to an abrupt end.

Because, he also saw the current miserable situation of Ronald Weasley.

Moreover, he is not the only one.

Matthew turned around and saw that in addition to Pringer holding Mr. Tang in his arms (Mr. Tang was already tied up tightly by a rope), there were many students who pushed and squeezed into the prize showroom from the aisle.

However, when the people present saw the fainting Crab, Goll, and the miserable Weasley, the lively and chirping sounds suddenly disappeared.

The students suddenly became quiet, and they rushed forward to watch this terrible scene.

...

"What's going on?" Mr. Pringer, the administrator of Hogwarts Castle, stuttered.

"I'm afraid it's related to the reason why your dog suddenly goes crazy." Professor Rozier said in a low voice.

At the same time, she tried to lift the unconscious Weasley:

"Jeffrey, take this boy to the school hospital." Professor Rozier shouted in extreme seriousness.

Matthew was slowing down for a while before he realized that Professor Rozier was calling Mr. Pringer's name.

She added: "Let Mrs. Pomfrey take the boy with a blood replenishing dose every day... Also, don't use any antidote!"

"I understand, madam!" Mr. Pringer nodded. He first placed Mr. Tang in the corner of the prize showroom, and then took Ronald Weasley from Professor Rozier. After carrying the extremely weak boy on his back, he quickly ran towards the direction of the school hospital.

"Ron..." Neville Longbottom was about to chase him to the school hospital.

But Professor Rozier stopped him.

"Wait a minute, Mr. Longbottom, and Mr. Evans and Mr. Wakefield!" Then she looked at Professor Troca again: "And you, Edward... come with me!"

The silent crowd began to disperse to both sides and let them pass.

...

They once again came to Professor Rozier's neat and concise office.

But at the door, there were all kinds of housekeeping supplies thrown everywhere.

Matthew hurriedly ran over and began to organize these brooms, mops and other things together.

After hesitating for a moment, Neville rushed over to help.

Professor Rozier returned to her seat and looked solemn. She picked up her teacup and took a sip.

Immediately afterwards, she picked up her wand and waved it gently, and several chairs appeared in front of them.

"Sit all!" she said softly.

Several people sat down one after another.

"Mr. Wickfield told me before that you heard Mr. Tang's barking and then thought of your classmates in the prize showroom, so you rushed over, right?" Mrs. Rozier asked first.

Neville Longbottom and Harry Evans looked at each other and nodded.

Neville took the initiative to say, "That's right, ma'am."

"So, when you arrive at the prize showroom, have you observed anything... For example, the murderer or something, it didn't take long until I arrived there, Mr. Weasley was attacked." Professor Rozier asked again.

"I think there shouldn't be." Neville shook his head: "When Evans and I arrived at the prize showroom, Ron was already like that... Professor Troca was there trying to rescue him..."

"Edward Troca?" Professor Rozier suddenly frowned, and she shouted out the full name of the teacher of the Transformation Class.

Matthew was stunned, and his eyes quietly moved to Professor Troca.

"I didn't notice anything, either." Professor Troca explained calmly: "When I arrived there, Mr. Weasley, Mr. Crabb and Mr. Goll, had all become like that... I tried to rescue Mr. Weasley who was injured in the end, but only slightly relieved his pain..."

Professor Rozier lowered his head, and she picked up the quill again, as if recording something at a very fast speed.

"Okay, you all go back!" About thirty seconds later, she raised her head again: "I'll go to the school hospital to see the condition of those boys."

...

The four people walked out of the vice principal's office at the same time, and they all looked very heavy.

Matthew bit his lip gently, and then he walked to Professor Troca.

"Professor Troca..." he shouted softly.

"What's wrong, Wakefield?" Professor Troca turned around.

Just when he was in the prize showroom, Matthew realized that Professor Troca's face was pale, haggard, and bloodless...

Now when he looked up close, he seemed to be weaker than he thought, as if he had been seriously ill, and his voice became a little weak.

"Weasley, he shouldn't be in trouble, right?" Matthew asked with some concern.

Professor Troca shook his head first, then nodded again, and he sighed softly: "I think he will most likely not die."

"Matthew, come and help carry something." Neville shouted behind him.

"Okay, thank you, professor." Matthew quickly said to Professor Troca, then turned around and ran towards Neville.

When moving those housekeeping supplies, he couldn't help but close his eyes—

Because just as he approached Professor Troca, he smelled blood again.
