Chapter 3 I want to go to Phoenix

Suzuko ran over with an arrow and grabbed Ji Xueying's sleeve tightly.

"Don't throw away the baby! Mom, I'll listen to you and study hard in the future..." Lingzi burst into tears and begged hard.

"No! Do you understand what it means to lose your ambition? You didn't have the brains to do it. If you have such a thing at home, you will have no intention of learning! Then you will ruin your brother!" Ji Xueying opened the door but was stunned, and several neighbors stood at the door.

"Teacher Ji, if you have something to do, don't beat the child..." Aunt Zhang, who was opposite the door, persuaded. She was shouting at home just now, and Xiaobo's crying was earth-shaking, mixed with Ji Xueying's roar, and most of them were scolding Lingzi. No wonder the neighbors misunderstood that Ji Xueying was beating the child.

"Who fights..." Ji Xueying was about to explain but swallowed the second half of the sentence. She cleaned her hair and couldn't tell her neighbor that the couple was fighting.

"The children are still young, so if you have something to do, don't do it. It's not good to hurt the mother and son's relationship..." Aunt Zhang pulled Ji Xueying's hand and persuaded her with a pleasant face.

"Sister Zhang, you don't know that stupid girl in our family. If she is half as smart as your Lili, I'll be burning incense..." Ji Xueying threw the cat back into the house. She knew that the cat was given by Aunt Zhang, so she couldn't throw it out in front of others. Isn't this a slap in the face? Besides, Aunt Zhang's husband is a cadre, so she doesn't want to offend anyone for no reason.

"A child, either this is smart or that is smart. He always has his own strengths. The old saying goes well, three points to teach and seven points. You, a teacher, understand the truth, but you are too anxious, haha." Aunt Zhang didn't say it out loud, and patted Ji Xueying's hand with a smile.

"Oh! Sister Zhang, you're so right. I'm so anxious. When I see her stupid look, I'm so angry that I can't make everyone laugh. It's okay, it's okay." Ji Xueyingqiang squeezed out a smile and had to maintain his image no matter what he said. He couldn't say behind his back that he was like a shrew. How could he do it if he spread it?

The neighbors all dispersed, Ji Xueying closed the door, Li Yibai was a little scared when he caused a big trouble today, and had quietly climbed onto the bed to sleep. Xiaobo was taken by Chen Chunyan and washed his face and fell asleep. Chen Chunyan felt angry and closed the door.

The damn cat was hidden from her. Ji Xueying stood in the house like a deflated ball, sitting dejectedly on the stool in the aisle. The unscrupulous man, the elm-headed daughter, and the old lady who was eating idle food. Apart from her son, there was nothing that satisfies her in the family.

Ji Xueying sat for a long time, sighed and got up and went back to the bedroom. Ji Xueying glanced at the room passing by Lingzi, and was still the same. The girl with thin hair and thin body was sitting at the table, with her eyes blank and unconscious and didn't know what she was thinking.

It's hopeless.

Ji Xueying felt disgusted and closed the door.

Suzuko's eyes began to appear alive, and only at this time the world belongs to her.

"Baby..." Lingzi tiptoed to close the door and quietly carried the cat out of the bed.

"Little Pity, were you scared just now?" Suzuko spoke to the cat in a whisper.

The "baby" was sleeping soundly, purring, and her whole body was trembling with the purring sound. The bell held the cat in his arms and felt very comfortable.

What binary equation? What square square? Go to the hell! Suzuko closed the math textbook and put the homework book into her schoolbag. This is too difficult and I can't learn it at all!

Suzuko has been bad at math since she was a child. Arithmetic within ten is OK, but her mind is sluggish. Especially in the fifth and sixth grades, I don’t know who she is, but she actually asked such a question. She drained water in a pool while asking how many hours she could fill the pool?

Isn’t this full? Is there sufficient water resources on the earth? It’s simply a naked waste!

Thanks to nine years of compulsory education, otherwise, with Suzuko's grades, there would probably be no middle school who would learn to ask for her. Even so, she inevitably became the least popular child in the class. Not only did the grades drag the back of the class, she was slow to react to all kinds of things assigned by the teacher. Whether it was criticism or praise, Suzuko always looked dull and her appearance of not sleeping all year round made the teacher very troubled.

Suzuko sniffed in her right hand, holding the cat in her left hand, and holding the pen in her right hand was almost frozen. She finally finished her English homework. Fortunately, she just copied some example sentences, otherwise she would not be able to do it even if it was a little difficult.

Let's do it. Wait until I'm punished to stand in math class tomorrow. Linzi packed up his schoolbag and hid his cat into the bed.

"When you grow up, you are only worthy of setting up street stalls!" Ji Xueying's words echoed in his ears.

"What's wrong with setting up a street stall?" Lingzi was a little dissatisfied.

Grandma took Lingzi and Xiaobo to the west of the county town for several big markets. One street stall after another, with a wide range of goods, various hairpins and colorful headbands made Lingzi dazzled, but Xiaobo's eyes were attracted by various snack stalls.

"Grandma, I want to eat roasted sweet potatoes!" "Grandma, I want to eat fried chicken chops and fried chicken fillets!" Xiaobo shouted excitedly, pointing at various snacks for Chen Chunyan to buy.

Suzuko knew that there was not much money in her grandmother's pocket, which was saved from the money for buying vegetables given by Ji Xueying. Chen Chunyan carefully accumulated it slowly and could not let Ji Xueying see that it would be a disaster.

So when she was in the market, Suzuko just looked at her greedily in front of various stalls, never wanting anything, she felt sorry for her grandmother.

"Xiaobo, my mother doesn't give you much money, so you can only buy one food. You can tell grandma after you have thought about it." Chen Chunyan held Xiaobo's hand tightly, for fear that he would run around.

"Grandma, are these stalls particularly rich at home? There are so many things on the stalls?" asked Suzuko.

"Silly kid, if you are very rich, you won't set up a stall," Chen Chunyan smiled. "The old saying goes, those who sell salt drink light soup. Look at those who sell fried chicken fillets, who would be willing to eat a piece of chicken fillet by themselves? If it weren't for life, who would be willing to set up a stall by the wind and sun?"

"Sister, I'll give you one!" Xiaobo "generously" made a piece of chicken fillet from the bag of chicken fillets that grandma had just bought and handed them to Linzi.

"Xiaobo is so good!" Chen Chunyan smiled. This child was not taught in vain. If he pointed to Ji Xueying, Xiaobo would have to be as good as her sooner or later.

"My brother is so nice. Give me one piece to my grandma!" Lingzi happily put the chicken fillet into her mouth. Xiaobo quickly tucked another piece with a bamboo stick and handed it into Chen Chunyan's mouth.

"Oh, my grandson is so filial, grandma is so happy!" Chen Chunyan ate with a smile.

"Grandma, where did these things from the stalls come from?" asked Suzuko.

"These are all sold from the Phoenix City Wholesale Market. They buy at low prices and sell at high prices to make a difference in the middle and use it to support their family." Chen Chunyan smiled.

Phoenix City is a prefecture-level city 80 kilometers away from the county town. Suzuko has never been to it, nor has grandma been to it, but Xiaobo has been to it with his mother and has been showing off for a long time when he comes back.
