Chapter 50: The Draft

The highly anticipated 2015 NBA Draft was held at the Barclays Center, the home court of the Brooklyn Nets in New York, USA on June 26, 2015. Linson, as a young player who did not enter the lottery at all, was not invited to go to the Little Green House.

Before that, he had not received any trial training. He seemed to have a premonition about falling out of the first round, but he hoped not to be too low, otherwise the signing of the contract would be a decentralized development league, which is really not a good feeling.

Lin Sen sat alone in front of the TV waiting for the live show, while the remaining two Wisconsin's three musketeers were already sitting in the small green room, one of the twenty people invited.

"The Timberwolves chose Carl Anthony Towns from the University of Kentucky in 2015."

There was no surprise. The Timberwolves chose Towns, probably because they were confident that Towns did not even participate in the Lakers' trial. He firmly believed that he would definitely win the No. 1 pick, and there was no accident.

This is the confidence of Towns, but the management of the team did not seem to be dissatisfied with Towns' confidence. This is the treatment that a talented player deserves.

The No. 1 pick hugged his relatives and friends one by one, then put on the Timberwolves' hat and walked onto the rostrum and accepted the cheers from the audience.

Lin Sen's other big center Okafor, who lost to them in the final, also became the pride of heaven tonight, and he was chosen by the 76ers in the third pick.

This time there was a gap from the original expectation, because before the draft, almost everyone thought he was the impeccable second-level show, but now the Lakers chose Russell. Perhaps it was because of the five small players in the finals that caused a back fever. It is undeniable that Okafor did not become the expected second-level show, but he is still Tanhua.

The excellent offensive ability made the 76ers behind him unable to ignore the pie that fell on their heads. Even though there were Embiid and Noel in their team lineup, they still chose Okafor without hesitation. No one could give up such a player with great offensive talent.

Immediately afterwards, Caulistan, the Kentucky inside player who was also defeated by Linson, was transferred by the Kings in the sixth pick. Devin Booker and Trey Lyles were also selected in the first round of lottery, with four lottery in one school. Kentucky lost the semi-finals, but won enough glory in the draft.

Wisconsin is not without a hand. Kaminsky finally failed to escape Jordan's clutches, while Decker entered the Rockets with the most Chinese fans. Their picks were very good, and they were worthy of Xiao Hua's qualification to invite them to the Little Green House. However, it seems that everyone has forgotten that MOP of the semi-finals, Lin Sen, the best player in the two games.

Even though he is still a freshman and very young, even if his talent test is excellent except for the other things, even if his combat power is not weak at all, even if he is big and small, he may be no less than many NBA elite defenders, but he still did not appear on the name Xiao Hua pronounced.

Lin Sen sat in the hotel and watched the live broadcast. He was very much looking forward to one of the teams that had tried out him to win him. Give him a stable contract, at least giving him the first step to stay in the NBA, and let's talk about how he can restore the glory of center.

In the 20th pick, the Raptors chose Deron Wright, a point guard who won the Bob Cousey Award last season. Compared to the inside, the defender is the place where they continue to improve. This is also the team with the highest overall pick in Lin Sen.

In the 24th pick, the Cavaliers chose Tailes Jones, which was also Linsen's defeat. Although he was Duke's X factor, it was obvious that he was still not as big as Linsen of Wisconsin's X factor. After all, this X factor eventually became the MOP and the best player.

Originally, in Lin Sen's mind, he was the most likely to be selected by the Cavaliers. After all, when watching the game at the United Center at home, James personally invited a trial, and the others were just passively following the trend. If even the Cavaliers didn't choose themselves...

Sure enough, Lin Sen did not appear on any team's roster in the next first round of the show. He shook his head and was a little disappointed. He expected to have a good ranking in the second round. If he was selected at the beginning of the second round, it would not be a bad thing for Lin Sen. A shorter contract means that you can make big money earlier and sign a contract with a higher annual salary earlier, which means that you have the ability to make big money.

Fortunately, not long after the beginning, Lin Sen heard his name. The Timberwolves chose Lin Sen from the University of Wisconsin.

Lin Sen felt helpless. Fortunately, he was selected. The team that selected him was called the Timberwolves. Among the Timberwolves, there were already a very talented inside player Gorgi Dion and Nikola Pekovic, the Big White Bear. In addition, Towns, who was elected No. 1 in absolute strength and former Wolf King Garnett, Lin Sen felt that the Timberwolves could hardly see his playing time in the Timberwolves' inside lineup.

More importantly, shouldn't that guy named Towns be his defeated player? He seemed to have to help him play a substitute? When he thought about it, Lin Sen felt very heartbroken. He probably didn't need Towns to defeat him at this moment. He shouted directly in the training match: "You are my substitute." This trash saying is definitely a must-have blow for Lin Sen.

The Timberwolves are a young team. They have gathered the three No. 1 picks from 2013 to 2015. At the same time, there are many other players full of talent in this team. Zach Laven is undoubtedly the best among them. For a newcomer, especially a young man with a not-so-high ranking, this place may be more like a hell.
